DS2 RPG General Status Report January 2004 USS Earth Before making a decision of following Admiral Steichen and the USS Moon, Captain Steichen wants to examine the USS Moon files and make a decision based on that. First Officer T'Lok agrees. "If the conquest of the Stiegls take 38 years, two days will not matter. It is logical to asume that these files will reveal sensor logs, personal logs, battle reports, but we must remember that Admiral Steichen could have falsified these files. No insult was intended Captain." A group of operations oficers and engineers is assembled to examine the files of the USS Moon. But their first findings are about how the USS Earth was decomissioned and how the crew transfered to the brand new USS Moon. There are all kinds of messages back and forward from families, but the first 26 years of the files and reports does not really indicate anything about a war with the Stiegls or any other Stiegl activity. That is most strange as Starfleet COmmand has already sent out several ships because of a possible Stiegl threat. So the Stiegl danger is already known to Starfleet Command. It is Chief of Operations LT Dankers who reports. "Captain. We have found nothing in these files yet. We have gone through the files for 26 years from now, into the future. There is nothing out of the ordinary. Just the regular communications from Starfleet Command, from our families... Yes I know it is weird to look at ourselves in the future... Nothing yet Captain..." Again XO T'Lok's Vulcan logic speaks for all. "Captain. It is not logical that these files do not indicate any Stiegl activity for the next 26 years, as we have already received information from Starfleet Command about a possible Stiegl threat. Logic dictates that something or someone already has changed history before the USS Moon arrived in our time frame, witout affecting the USS Moon and crew, which seems very unlikely." "Very unlikely, but not impossible." "Not impossible Captain. The USS Moon could have been hiding on one of those safe planets or could have found another way to shield themselves from time. We shold find something about that in the files as well." "Keep me posted." "Aye Captain." The search continues. 34 years of the files have been covered in one day, but then suddenly one of the engineers finds something interesting. This time LT Dankers has something useful to report. "Captain. I think we have found something." File 146587 Admiral Steichen Personal log. Today I have been promoted to Admiral. There was a small reception for old friends. Commodore T'Lok was here. It was great to see her again. But she had some disturbing news. She reminded me of the Stiegls almost 35 years ago. The species which almost had the Galaxy in their hands just by producing holographic images. The Stiegls were destroyed at the time by the Borg enhanced USS Thunderbolt. I remember because we were closeby and in Stiegl territory. I also remember that the USS Thunderbolt had never been seen again afterwards and I cannot remember what happened to that ship... But now T'Lok tells me the USS Thunderbolt has been detected in Federation space. two weeks ago and was now escorted to Earth, where the crew should face a trial. Although the USS Thunderbolt crew could easily have destroyed the entire Fedeation they came in peace. Captain Mechels reported the Borg had lost the war against the Stiegls and had been taken over by the Stiegls who used all Borg hardware now to their own advantage... and they were coming... End Log. File 146592 Admiral Steichen Personal Log. I have taken T'Lok as my first officer. We are going to Ginorama, answering a distress call. Apparently the Cardassians and Romulans have formed a coalition and are on their way to the Federation. Their intentions are not peaceful. They have been detected in the Ginorama star system, destroying everything what is on their way. T'Lok thinks those were not Cardassians or Romulans, but Stiegls on their way to the Federation. I don't know what to think... End Log. File 146603 Admiral Steichen Personal Log. It's true. We have send a message to Starfleet Command, hoping they can assemble a fleet to stop them. How could we have been so blind ? These are the Stiegls... this is how they have operated for decades... They have been taken everything they could lay their hands on for such a long time and so slowly nobody noticed it. Now we are doomed. We have received reports from our relay stations in the Delta Quadrant that even the Borg were victim of the Stiegls. They seem to have managed to send some ships to another galaxy, but those reports are not confirmed. The relay stations were destroyed shortly after they had sent their messages. Even Deep Space 2 has been under attack, but that attack was nullified, by the unltimate defenses of Deep Space 2. The Federation is the last force between the Stiegls and the losing of the entire galaxy to the Stiegls. Starfleet Command has send three prototype ships already in the direction of the Omicron Galaxy. The voyage will probably take a hundred years. The last Klingon ships have left the Galaxy as well. After the seventh Klingon civil war in twelve years, there is not much left of the Klingon Empire and the Klingons can easily evacuate their territory. The once so proud Klingons would rather run than fight... It is incredible. We cannot evacuate the entire federation. We have to defend our planets, and we may not fail... Why didn't we search and destroy all Stiegls at the time... End Log. LT Dankers has some comments on, these files. "Captain, It seems to me that in that particular time line, nobody has spoken about the Stiegls for decades. At this time, I mean our time, we don't do anything else but speak about the Stiegls and their possible cunning threat. Like the message we received yesterday from Starfleet Command, warning us again about possible Stiegl saboteurs on Starfleet ships and facilities." And Chief of Security LT CMDR Ulo Hung has something even more disturbing to add. "The Stiegls seem to be infiltrated everywhere. They had a thousand years or maybe even more to prepare for this.. whatever plan they have... We don't know who they are, where they are and they will just appear, and then it is to late... The destruction of Starbase 133 only a week ago, seems to be the work of Stiegls. But we cannot become paraniod either..." It is silent in the conference room. Everyone realises that history has been altered, that there is a threat of Stiegls, but the threat cannot be eliminated as the targets are not yet determined... It looks bad... File 146610 Admiral Steichen Personal Log Today something strange has happened. There was a small ship of unknown design under command of Captain Straetman. This ship appeared out of nowhere. Captain Straetman transported a device aboard our ship. She explained how it worked. It is a device to travel in time. I don't know Captain Straetman and her ship was of an unknown design, so I had her checked out. Captain Straetman and her ship disappeared shortly after she had explained what the device was all about. My Chief of Security Captain Ulo Hung had found out that Captain Straetman was an officer assigned to Deep Space 2. Deep Space 2 is to far away for us to contact and get a answer fast. And there are to many enemies... I don't see any sollution to our problems. We are not going to win this time. Therefore I have decided to use the time travel device and go back to the past at the time we have first met the Stiegls. T'Lok has already volonteered to go first and alone. I will send her to the USS Earth. I hope my younger me will believe T'Lok. She just has to... Otherwise I will order our entire ship to go to the past. I don't think anyone would have any objections anyway... End Log The USS Earth will travel to to the small moon at 376 by 64 where the USS Moon is waiting. Both ships will work together and use the USS Moon 'future' technology to come up with a defense against the Stiegls, to track them down and to eliminate or capture them. Players: Christine Steichen USS Metrical A stealth runabout under command of mission specialist Lieutenant Commander Vera Brown with only two other crewmen aboard, Lieutenant Danny Lock and Lieutenant Zoe Yoka, is on its way to TS-66. The runabout has left the USS Napoli two hours ago. The orders of Captain Charles Verdun were very clear and were the exact words of Commodore Geert Van Nieuwenhove/ "Investigate TS-66, observe and report all activity. If you encounter any Stiegls or Stiegl systems or devices of any kind, you will retreat and report back to the USS Napoli." Lieutenant Commander Brown has ordered Lieutenant Yoka to get some sleep. The runabout will arrive at TS-66 in 39 hours. And all three officers will have a duty watch while the other two are asleep... In the mean time the tension on Starbase 369 is also increasing. Captain Sigrid Johansson finally has the opportunity to meet Commodore Van Nieuwenhove. They have had contact before of course, but only by subspace channels. Both officers agreed that their first meeting should have been in a more relax situation. But with an immediate threat from an old enemy, the door is open for disasters. "Commodore, the USS Mexico is ready to leave space dock. The ship is not completely repaired, but we will make more repairs on our way. We have to keep the security net closed. Every ship counts. Do you agree ?" Commodore Geert Van Nieuwenhove is confronted by the direct approach of his first officer, but Captain Johansson is of course right. The six straships assigned to Starbase 369 have to maintain a security net around the starbase. the only ship which is to come and go is the freighter USS Carry, under command of Commander Jeffrey Dunn. The USS Carry only has one objective: get the load to Starbase 369. Due to the security net the USS Carry is only escorted by two runabouts. A starship cannot be missed. And then the report from USS Napoli comes in. "Starbase 369, this is USS Napoli. The package is on its way, but it is still closed." An old way of saying that a scrambled code could be intercepted and decoded by the highly advanced Stiegls. The runabout itself has closed to TS-66. Long range scanners can already identify the planet around the star and detect it as a M-class planet. But the runabout is still to far away to determine whether there is any life on the planet that could indicate Stiegl activity. And while the USS Mexico has left Starbase 369 spacedock, the runabout seems to crawl closer to its target: TS-66. Two hours before the runabout can get in orbit of the TS-66 planet, it comes to a full stop. A micro probe is launched and the three officers aboard the runabout follow the incoming data very closely. At first there is nothing of importance, but when the micro probe should enter the gravity of the TS-66 planet nothing happens and the probe just continues its way, right through the planet as if it was not even there. But the data of the probe's sensors show the planet surface, its core and the surface on the other side when the probe comes out of the planet at the other side. The planet is not there and still sensors detect it as if it was real... Aboard the USS napoli this news is disturbing and Captain Verdun relays the information to Starbase 369, where Commodore Van Nieuwenhove follows the actions of Lieutenant Commander in the runabout Brown with extreme interest. Especially when Lieutenant Commander Brown requests that she can go to the TS-66 planet with the runabout to confirm that the planet is there or not. Captain Verdun doesn't seem to have much choice and grants Lieutenant Commander Brown to go to the planet... Two hours later the runabout arrives and sensors detect a small space station in the middle of the so called planet TS-66. This station has a large holographic generator which creates the planet. There is only one Stiegl aboard this station. This Stiegl has not yet detected the stealth runabout, otherwise the runabout would most likely have been destroyed already. It is clear now that the Stiegls want to manipulate the Galaxy with all kinds of holographic shows. Commodore Van Nieuwenhove will inform Starfleet Command and ask to start a full scan of the entire Federation territory for more Stiegl holographic productions. Players: Geert Van Nieuwenhove USS Thunderbolt On route to the Unicomplex of the Borg Collective the USS Thunderbolt has encountered a Borg sphere with a maked Stiegl aboard. Captain mechels orders the destruction of the Borg sphere and only a few shots later the sphere explodes, only leaving debris. It is clear now that the USS Thunderbolt crew have to fight the Stiegls. It were the Stiegls who created a time paradox, in which even the Borg Collective would be destroyed completely. But everyone aggrees that with fighting the Stiegls it would be also nice to deal with the Borg at the same time in such a manner that they would stay in their territory. But at this time the norg cannot even detect the masked Stiegls aboard their ships. And the Borg Queen knows this... She is getting worried. She monitors the USS Thunderbolt's every move, but she knows it will take at least 20 years before the Collective will have a defense against this ship with future Borg drones aboard. There is nothing she can do, except negotiate. But she is not yet prepared to do that... "Captain. It seems the Borg are afraid of us. Every ship we detect seems to be running away from us. they don't seem to be interested in a confrontation. I wonder why. I presume if a dozen of Borg cubes rams our ship, we would be gone." One of the Borg drones has a different idea. "That is not exactly correct. The maneuvrability of the USS Thunderbolt will lead to this ship's escape from any Borg ship. It is useless to think that any Borg ship or group of Borg ships can even come near to the USS Thunderbolt. But there is a way for the Collective to purify the collective from any Stiegl activity." All officers now stare at the Borg drone in disbelieve. But the drone explains. "They did it before and if there is nothing else that they can do they will do it again. They will make contact with Species 8472 and explain to them that the Stiegls are a danger to them. And the collective would be right. If the Stiegls do not destroy the Borg Collective, but take over all their ships and facilities, Species 8472 could be in trouble. And Species 8472 would not be the only one in trouble. I have the impression that the Stiegls do not feel any mercy." It is strange to hear a Borg drone talk like that. He said "I" and was more of a philosopher than an automated humanoid executing orders from a Borg Queen... But the USS Thunderbolt crew has become familiar with the three drones aboard and have started to trust them. Captain Mechels orders to open a conduit to fluid space of Species 8472 to inform them about the Stiegls. Then it is up to Species 8472 to do something or not. Players: Helena Straetman,Caroline Keuleers,Willem Keuleers, Lieselotte Keuleers, Wouter Keuleers USS Walang And indeed more than a few months have been saved by the decision to have the USS Walang travel through this region of nothingness. The Kiries are asked if they would agree to a small space station in orbit of their star with about ten people aboard. With the Kiries pefectly happy, the blueprints of a space station become a reality. With materials replicated and recycled, a small space station is build. With crews in three shifts, working around the clock with workbees working almost around the clock as well slowly but surely the first shapes of the structure of the small station becomes real. When after a week the first solar panel is installed some of the sensor systems and main computer of the station are already operational. The solar panels are the only source of energy for the station, but with the Kirie star closeby, there should not be a problem maintaining power. The crew staterooms are small, but will only be used for privacy and sleep. The building of the station goes much faster than expected. After two weeks the communications systems are tested. And the station is still growing. The giant solar panels are producing so much power even a small shield generator is installed and tested with success. A small cargo bay is filled with replacement parts, a small infirmary is build. Four weeks after the start of the building of the station, there is a subspace reply from Starfleet Command, in the center of the Federation. Incoming message from Starfleet Command: Admiral Vok, Diplomatic Corps, United Federation of Planets Captain Hendriks and crew of the USS Walang. Congratulations on the contacts with the Kiries species and the building of the space station. We surely hope this success will continue and we are looking forward to keep relations with the Kiries. End of message Everyone is very excited about the contact with Head Quarters. The Kiries probably the most. The Kiries also have made successful contact with other species, but those contacts were lost and forgotten. This is a new realtionship with an other species which promisses a long term, maybe even a very long term relation and it breaks the solitude way of life of the Kiries. It pleases the Kiries even more that the new station receives a new name: Kirie 1 Space Station. But there is also a time for other explorations and the mission for the search of the Trum new home planet begins to overtake and becomes again the priority of the USS Walang as soon as the space station in orbit of the Kirie star has been completed. Now the question remains. Who is going to stay behind and who will continue the voyage to the Trum home planet. Countor and the Trax have decided to continue their voyage to the Trum Home planet. They can stay in contact with the Kiries at any time now. There are 129 volonteers to stay on the station, but there is only room for 10. Captain Hendriks lets a group of volonteers stay on station Kirie 1 and move on to the home planet of the Gsnodes, or Trum, as the Trax call them. After the Trum are found, the USS Walang will return to station Kirie 1 and decide what's to be done. Players: Marianne Loogen USS Vertigo Day 120 14.00 During the senior staff meeting Lieutenant Commander Matz reports about the incident on Deep Space 9. She also has a new report about the destruction of Starbase 133 and on Starbase 64 and Starbase 82, several saboteurs were caught. All of them had Stiegl technology with them, either weapons or tools. Day 123 12.00 The USS Vertigo is on route to Zovala III, where a planetary earthquake has destroyed almost all homes of the 300 million inhabitants. All availabe ships have been send to Zovala III to help out with everything they can. It is clear this disaster was caused by nature and not by Stiegls. Day 125 06.12 The USS Vertigo has arrived and has established standard orbit around Zovala III. Medical personnel, engineers and crewmembers are transported down to help rebuilding the homes of the population. The USS Vertigo is the nineteenth ship to arrive. Six more ships are on their way. There is no need for a planetary evacuation. Players: Nadine Peeters, Caroline van Rhee, Thomas van Rhee USS Iceberg Two Lamara ships seem to be on an intercept course to the runabout where Colonel Crow and his team have taken every precaution in case of all posible outcomes. But the two Lamara ships take a turn, change course and clearly have not detected the Federation runabout... When the runabout crosses the border of Lamara space, into regular Federation space it jumps to warp 9. By the time the Lamara have discovered the warp traces the runabout has already docked aboard the USS Iceberg where Lieutenant Colonel Hawk gives the order to set course to Starbase 44, where General Lembeck is waiting for any news about amara and the USS Iceberg. Colonel Crow finds it to risky to send all the information using communications channels. Even secured channels can be hacked. This information ahs to be delivered to General Lembeck personally. At high speed the voyage of the USS Iceberg is interupted by a distress call from the USS Starmaker. The USS Starmaker is under attack, apparently by Stiegls. It is not clear how the USS Starmaker is attacked, but the USS Iceberg cannot ignore this distress call. Upon arrival it seems the USS Iceberg is to late. The USS Starmaker is overtaken by the Stiegls, the crew is locked up in the cargo bays, except for the Captain, Captain Korger, who contacts the USS Iceberg with a weapon pointed to his head of a Stiegl agent. "USS Iceberg. My crew is held hostage. The Stiegls will kill everone if you do not give up your ship and surrender. Please USS Iceberg, think about my crew. Please surrender. I have the word of this Stiegl agent that they will drop us off on the nearest inhabitable planet. They will not harm us, if you surrender your ship. Apparently they want your ship for information that is in your ships computer." Then the Stiegl Agent speaks loudly. "You have ten minutes to surrender, if not they will all die." The channel is closed. Major Bell has his own ideas. "Colonel sir, with all due respect to Captain Korger of the USS Starmaker, He should have self destructed his ship before giving it to the enemy or at least put up a fight. I have scanned the entire ship and there are no signatures of weapons fire at all, not on the bridge, not even in the smallest corridor. I think it is a trap sir. I think the USS Starmaker crew, or at least part of it is collaborating with the Stiegls. I think we should just leave them and continue on route." But things get worse. Lieutenant Colonel Hawk has some additional information and a very radical opinion. "Colonel sir, I have checked on this Captain Kroger. He was suspected of being a Maquis sympathiser, although never proven, he has been more than likely involved of two Maquis attacks on Federation facilities. But like I said, it was never proven. It is your decision sir, but I wouldn't trust this Captain Kroger. He didn't even defend his ship against the Stiegl intruders. He should have destroyed his ship like Major Bell already suggested rather than give it up this easily. I would like to say. Destroy the USS Starmaker. I am sure there are innocent people aboard... They are just casualties of war sir. We cannot take any chances. An Excelsior class ship like the USS Starmaker is no match for our weapons." Players: Jan Theys USS Colorado The crew of the USS Colorado is not really sure what is on the planet Fortune below, as all life seems to have disappeared. The Captain agrees with LT Torak and LT Sonak to send a robot to the planet first. but he also asks his First Officer about the idea. "Commander, what do you think about the Automated robot ?" "I believe that is a good idea, but we shouldn't send it alone." LT Sonak who realises Captain Harrison does not want to send any of his crew to planet Fortune, raises an eyebrow. "What do you have in mind Commander." "I was thinking about the EMH program, can be programmed to work together with the robot." LT Sonak thinks for a few seconds. "Yes sir, I believe so." And Captain Harrison likes this idea as well. He gives LT Sonak some time to make preparations. "Have the EMH ready in 15 minutes, and get back to me." A few moments later in sickbay LT Sonak and LT Torak adjust the EMH portable emitter. The emitter can provide the doctor with 6 hours of power. LT Sonak explains to the EMH that he has to go to planet Fortune and investigate what has happened there while LT Torak makes the necessary changes in the EMH program. But the EMH does not agree... "I am a doctor not a walking sensor grid. Why do holograms always have to do the dirty work ?" But LT Sonak's Vulcan logic is unbeatable. "You are expendable." The EMH opens his mouth, but then closes it again. He doesn't have much of a choice. LT Torak reports to Comander Walker that the new EMH subroutines have been installed. Within 12 minutes the robot and the EMH are on the transporter platform in transporter room 3, where Captain Harrison gives his last instructions. "You will scan the area and report every five minutes." But the EMH is not really enthousiastic about this mission with a robot. "What if it's security subroutines have been compromised and it attacks me or worse ?" "Well doc, you will be the first to know. Report to me when you have arrived on the planet." Captain Harrison waves his hand and the transporter is activated, before the EMH can say another word the robot and he are materializing on the planet Fortune in one of the bigger cities. All the robot detects are destroyed buildings, no sign of life, and lots, lots of dust... In the mean time LT Jones has scanned a large part of the planet with a higher resolution. And she has detected some structures which don't really fit into the planet Fortune infrastructure. It seems these are very old buildings. Although at first it seems that these buildings are left overs from the old Fortune civilization, after more scanning it becomes claer these structures have been build by a species, alien to Fortune. And more detailed scanning reveals signs on the walls... Those signs are old but recognisable as Stiegl signs. LT Jones looks again and again. There is no doubt. She has found Stiegl structures on planet Fortune... At the same time the robot starts doing strange things. Going forward and backward again, making strange noises and then again act normal... But the EMH has his own ideas about the robot. "USS Colorado, this robot is acting weird. I believe the robot is infected by a Stiegl computer program. Of course I am a doctor, not a programmer... But you must get us off this planet." Players: Johan Michielsens, Conny Parmentier USS Alice Cooper "You were there when the Doctor proved my memories of a previous life were genetically inherited, a direct result of the synthetic D.N.A. they gave Styles over eight hundred years ago during his conversion foto 'Cy Switzer'... the very first 'Cy Unit' ever! The only reason I even inherited his memories in the very first place was the bio-chemical procedure they performed on him to help bis body incorporate all those cybernetic implants his jailers tricked him into accepting back in 2016 -- a year after Boca Raton. Something may I remind you he wasn't guilty of in the very..." "Yes, yes. I know. But you still...", Andrei tried his very best to jump right in, all to no avail, Jas on a roll now... "...Something he wasn't guilty of in the very least!" "Then, as a distant ancestor of mine, bis artificially generated cyborg D.N.A. ended up passed along down my family tree eight hundred years.... ending up in me... activated later on due to the stress I suffered, trapped as I was in that freakin' shuttle over a year ago in the Oort cloud. Nothin but some synthetic gene passed down trom father-to-son... generation-to-generation... over the last eight centuries, activated by pure chance inside me." "That's all ! " "I know all that... including how Colonel Scarlett also ended up a part of your..." "Don't talk about him! ! ! " "Sorry. Forgot", Andrei backed off. "But don't forget I was also there when they purged that very same Cy gene from inside your very brain!". "Okay. All right", Jas granted at long last... "But, even so, this isn't the same thing at all. Jim, Cy Switzer, and even bloody Scarlett's memories were all explained away in the end through the use of simple science... a mediaal procedure forbidden now for over eight hundred years -- Cy Conversion!! !... whereas this life in the Federation Universe defies any and all explaination whatsoever..." "Whereas the Styles/Switzer incident occurred in the far past, this is taking place all in the very near future..." "Whereas those ancient memories involved some dead ancestor dead for nearly a millennia now, these events involve me... myself! I am the one experiencing a very real life in some other reality in some very near future -- ME!!! -- not Styles, Switzer, or even Scarlett himself". "So how do you, yourself, explain remembering future events you, yourself, haven't even lived Jet??", Andrei managed at long last to get a few good words in edgewise... Players: Crew of the USS Alice Cooper DS2 RPG General Status Report February 2004 USS Earth The USS Earth and USS Moon reunite at a small class-M moon somewhere in the Beta Quadrant. It is going to be strange for both crews to work together as not only Captain Steichen and Commander T'Lok will have to deal with their counterparts of the future, Admiral Steichen and Commodore T'Lok, but 112 other crewmembers aboard USS Earth will meat their future counterpart on the USS Moon. In a short course the USS Moon crew teaches the USS Earth crew about new technologies, weapons, defensive systems, propulsion, deflection, and much more, but the main problem still has to come as Admiral Steichen explains. "The Stiegls have developed technology with which they can take over any computer system or even subsystem. The Stiegls can simply rewrite any system from any distance if these systems are not shielded. We know how they do it. That is why the USS Moon has so many larger and smaller shield generators and almost every corridor has forcefields..." The crew of the USS Moon seems to become more relax. They all have a serious troubled time behind them, and this is their chance to make it right. None of them thinks about the consequences of their actions, or what will happen to them if they succeed in eliminating the Stiegl threat. New blueprints are made and the Galaxy-class USS Earth is rebuild. More power from the deuterium generator is needed. This is not going to be an easy task. Without delay and with the almost ten thousand crewmen of the USS Moon, a small base is build on the moon. The base is made with the defensive systems needed to counter any threat, including cloaking and holographic technology. As the base is not a ship, no treaty has been violated. As the base is build very fast, using the moon's resources, it becomes more than a base... it becomes a city. The moon even gets a name: Rock. But all of this has only meaning if this new technology can be tested against the Stiegls. There is no other alternative than sending the USS Earth towards the old Stiegl territory and hope Captain Steichen's ship will encounter Stiegls. It is all a strange idea, but a necessary test... A few hours after the USS Earth has left orbit of Rock Captain Steichen is contacted by Captain Acerta, in command of the USS Leibnitz, on of the ships attached to the Federation Trade Facility in Schulen territory, which is only a month travel away from Rock at high warp. "USS Earth, this is USS Leibnitz. How are you all. We are on course to JK-56, not exactly in your immediate path, but still close enough to exchange information of this region." Players: Christine Steichen USS Metrical Starfleet Command Head Quarters... "Ladies and gentlemen, the C-in-C." All officers rise and stand until Fleet Admiral Rudy Donner waves his hand. When all officers are seated the C-in-C starts talking. "This briefing is classified. This morning a runabout of the USS Napoli has reported a holographic planet mapped as TS-66. This holographic planet was an almost perfect simmulation of a real planet and only by the bravery of the commander of the runabout, a small Stiegl station was detected. This small station has a holographic generator aboard which creates this planet. Commodore Van Nieuwenhove has infromed us of this Stiegl presence and I agree with him that we have underestimated the Stiegl threat. I also think that we have to execute a security sweap of the entire Federation and close the Federation border. We are in trouble and we are going to need every ship and build more in a short time. In fact, there is no chance that we could even think of matching the Stiegl technology. Actually I think currently we are more or less at their mercy, depending on how much Stiegls there are in Federation space. So it seems, and other reports confirm this, that we will have the difficult taks of discovering all Stiegl activity. If we cannot do this in a short time, I don't have to tell you what we are facing..." It is silent in the briefing room for just a few seconds. Then suddenly and all together all officers at the table start speaking among each other... But only a few moments Admiral Frank Yankee, is the first to call for order. "Ladies, gentlemen, please. We have to find a solution here. The last thing we want is to fight among ourselves." But Admiral Giovani Fiori has a different opinion. "According the last reports, we have discovered some Stiegl activity, but we will never be able to discover them all. Some of our intelligence reports say that even the Borg do not have a decent defense against the Stiegls. We have to be realistic. I would like to send at least three starships out of the Galaxy, with a selected crew and passengers, to make the Federation survive... I mean just in case..." "Are you crazy. That is the same as surrender. We must crush this Stiegls and we have to do it now, as much as we can, to show them that we are not afraid and that they have to be afraid of us. They will see soon enough, that they don't mess with Starfleet and the Federation." After an hour of discussions, it is decided to send three starships out of the Galaxy to be sure the Federation way of life will continue, but at the same time the order is send out to all starships to destroy all Stiegl facilities, stations, ships, without warning and with all necessary force... On Starbase 369 Commodore Van Nieuwenhove receives the new orders concerning the Stiegls. From Starfleet Command Priority One The following order stands: destroy all Stiegl technology in any form with al lnecessary force. You will take no prisoners. The faith of the Federation is in your hands. End of Message The orders are clear and are send to all Starships and facilities. Captain Charles Verdun in command of the USS Napoli gives his orders and only a few moments later there is a runabout, close to the Steigl holographic planet TS-66 which fires a load of eight quantum torpedoes. It is all she has got, but Lieutenant Commander Brown, stays at her post, in case those weapons are not enough to destroy the small Stiegl station. But the explosion which follows destroys the Stiegl station and the planet TS-66 disappeares. On Starbase 369 the situation is discussed and a more tactical approach will probabaly be necessary and priorities have to be set. Commodore Van Nieuwenhove orders his fleet to retreat to Starbase 369 and do continu security sweeps of ships and Starbase to prevent any Stiegls coming aboard or being aboard ships or starbase. Players: Geert Van Nieuwenhove USS Thunderbolt The first contact with Species 8472 and the Federation is happening almost a year after the return of USS Voyager from the delta Quadrant. Although the USS Thunderbolt does not really represent the Federation or even Starfleet, Species 8472 does recognize the three Borg drones aboard the USS Thunderbolt as Borg and the rest of the crew as Federation. "Federation, Borg state your intentions." As one of the Borg drones starts explaining the situation with the Stiegls, the Borg and the rest of the Galaxy, Species 8472 gets more and more interested, but there is no decision yet of what they are going to do about it. Now that there is a conduit between fluid space and regular space, Species 8472 sends out scout ships to investigate the Stiegl matter. It is now well known that the Stiegls can controle any unprotected technology anywhere in the Galaxy, but Species 8472 is life biomatter, not artificial technology. The Stiegls cannot control anything from Species 8472. But they can control other species and use them to destroy Species 8472. The communications with Species 8472 take a full day, when the first Species 8472 scout ships returns and reports there are indeed attempts of Stiegls to take over the Borg Collective, which strangely enough seems to be an easy target for the Stiegls. Once they are able to take over one Borg ship, the entire collective will fall into Stiegl hands. They simply have to change some of the instructions in the root commands... Species 8472 realizes the danger. "Stiegls must be destroyed. We will begin." Communications with the USS Thunderbolt end and only a moment later, the first Species 8472 battleships enter regular space... And they keep coming... Aboard the USS Thunderbolt some crewmembers have mixed feelings. If Species 8472 is on time, the Stiegl threat will end. There is no doubt about that, but what will happen afterwards? Will Species 8472 go back home, or will they start hunting every other threat in the Galaxy... Will they consider the Federation a threat as well ? Does the crew of USS Thunderbolt care about the Federation enough to act if necessary? While Species 8472 keeps sending battleships through the gate into regular space, Captain Mechels assembles his senior staff and one of the borg drones to talk about the future... But Captain Mechels decides to let Species 8472 handle the Stiegls. The Stiegls have no way to take over or destroy Species 8472 systems or ships. And while Species 8472 destracts the Stiegls the USS Thunderbolt will try to find the cause of the Stiegl threat and destroy the Stiegl threat at the origin...or base... Players: Helena Straetman,Caroline Keuleers,Willem Keuleers, Lieselotte Keuleers, Wouter Keuleers USS Walang And so it is done. Under command of scientist Lieutenant Commander Doctor Lore Vladinski the small station Kirie 1 has become operational close to the Kirie star. There is a small reception aboard the USS Walang before departure and the Kiries themselves are also invited. After a meeting with the Trax aboard the USS Walang Countor and his friends have decided not to stay behind on the station Kirie 1. They know that within a year the USS Walang could arrive at the new homeplanet of the Gsnodes, or Trum as the Trax call them, and there is no Trax aboard who would like to miss that encounter. The Trum and Trax used to be neighbouring species... A few hours later the USS Walang sets course to the border of this empty region of space accompanied by the Kiries. It has been decided not to install any weapons on station Kirie 1, but instead make a docking port for a runabout space craft to use for more exploration in the region of the Kiries or for other scientific purposes. Two weeks later station Kirie 1 receives a message from the USS Walang that the starship has left the Kirie region of space and has returned to regular space to continue the voyage to the new Trum planet. But only a few days later the USS Walang is intercepted by two smaller vessels. "I am Supervisor Lechla of the Donnoranian Empire. We have seen that you have come out of the danger zone of empty space. You will tell us how you got out alive and what is in that region of space. If you do not, you will face the consequences. You have ten minutes." The communication channel is closed. Behind Captain Hendriks is Tactical Chief LT Patrick Kant who can only whisper. "Captain these ships are no match for our weapons and defensive systems. We could destroy them easily. But of course, these could only be scout ships and their battleships could be a hundred times bigger and more powerful." Captain Hendriks has ten minutes to make a decision. she calls ehr senior staff and is open for any suggestions. All officers and Countor agree. First they will negotiate with the Donnoranians, exchange introductions and ask whether the USS Walang has violated any of the Donnoranians laws. It is also decided that nobody will tell anyone about the Kiries or what is in Kirie space because the Donnoranians could be a violent species. "If the Donnoranians do not appear to be friendly, we will make no trouble and avoid their territory. We would of course want to know something about the Donnoranians too, don't we ?" Players: Marianne Loogen USS Vertigo Day 131 07.00 Senior staff meeting on the USS Vertigo, with 23 Captains of the ships in orbit of Zovala III. There has been so much help for the people of Zovala III that in less than a week several bigger cities have been build. Even the neighbours of the Zovala, who call themselves Kholsana, have sent almost 40 ships with more than 80 thousand people to help rebuild the cities of Zovala III. The gesture of the Kholsana is really appreciated and the bonds between the two neighbouring people only gets stronger. The Kholsana however are no members of the Federation and they are not interested in becoming members of the Federation, but they do have good relations with the Federation and when the meeting continues about the Stiegl threat, the Kholsana no longer stand aside. Day 131 9.19 The Kholsana have explained they also have heard about the Stiegls through their commercial fleet. But they seem to better informed than Starfleet Command. They share technology with Starfleet with which they can seal off any technology from Stiegl take-over. Day 134 20.45 Kholsana technology has been spread over the entire Starfleet. Now fleet is more than ready... everyone thinks... But is this true ? The test will be up soon... LT CMDR Matz reports from the bridge of the USS Vertigo... a fleet of at least 10 Stiegl ships is on its way to Kholsana. It is not a holographic fleet... It is a real fleet of real ships... Of course the Kholsana fleet aborts its mission at Zovala III and folowed by the Federation fleet under command of Commodore Slater they set course to Kholsana... Players: Nadine Peeters, Caroline van Rhee, Thomas van Rhee USS Iceberg The marines aboard the USS Iceberg are confronted with a hostage situation on the USS Starmaker. The Stiegls are responsible for that and they want to destroy the USS Iceberg computer so vital and secret information cannot be delivered to General Lembeck. But Starfleet Marines never give up, and Colonel Crow has no intention to give anything of his ship to anyone except for General Lembeck personally and certainly not to the Stiegls. "We're Starfleet Marines. We don't give up on our own people, good or bad. LT COL Hawk has made a battle plan to take over the ship. We will try to make as few casualties as possible. I will take two platoons and LT COL Hawk will take two platoons as well. I wil ltake the front and LT COL Hawk at the back. This should take no longer than 10 minutes." And so it happens... The datawarfare units aboard the USS Iceberg tap into the USS Starmaker computer, take out the shields, shut down internal sensors, disable force fields and shut down most of the power. While the Federation hostages are protected with force fields created by the datawarfare units on the USS Iceberg, four platoons of Starfleet Marines, heavily armed are transported on the USS Starmaker. While the datawarfare specialists guide the invading marines to their targets the entire operation is a walk in the park. 48 Stiegls are killed and 7 are captured. The entire crew is libertaed, including Captain Kroger who showed a questionable attitude. 20 minutes later the USS Starmaker is completely secured, no Federation hostages are hurt, but are all confined to their quarters. Colonel crow has no time to explain a lot... "We'll take the ship with us to Starbase 44. This is the General's problem. All I need to know is what I must do at Lanara. We'll see. Starfleet Marines... Oh Yeah we're good !!" When the two ships arrive at Starbase 44, General Lembeck has already been informed. A full scale investigation will be conducted. Especially the behaviour of Captain Kroger in command of the USS Starmaker is suspicious. Colonel Crow delivers the reports about Lamara to General Lembeck, who understands that diplomacy will no longer be effective with the Lamara population who are now colaborating with the Stiegls. "Colonel, we have to destroy all activities of Stiegls at Lamara. We cannot risk that the Stiegls have Lamara as a base for further attacks on the Federation. But a planet is a big place and although you have about three thousand marines aboard that will not be enough to conquer an entire planet. Therefore we must try to convince the population of Lamara, that the Stiegls are their enemies too, and that the Stiegls only use them to reach their own goal. Now that wil not be your job. We have a special infiltration team ready to do that. That particular team will leave already within the hour. Two days after that you will go to Lamara with a fleet of nine ships, with thirty thousand marines all together. If the attempt of the infiltration team has not worked or we do not hear from that team, we will stop all Stiegl activity on Lamara with all necessary force. Now get to work Colonel. I am sure you have a lot of preparations to do." One day later it becomes known that Captain Kroger has betrayed the Federation. He will have to appear for a court martial. Part of his crew, including his first officer are also suspects in this case. One day later the USS Iceberg leads a fleet of nine battle ships to Lamara, which is now considered a fortress of Stiegl activity. There is no report nor one word from the infiltration team. General Lembeck believes that team has been discovered or worse. The journey is short and fast. Before they realise it the nine ships enter Lamara space. This time there seem to be no ships trying to stop the Federation fleet, but Atad is more careful. "Colonel, a fleet of three Stiegl ships is on an intercept course. We will reach Lamara Prime before they can catch up with us. We can just ignore them and deal with them later. Four of our fleets battle ships are more than enough to stop and destroy the Stiegl ships, but that would split up our fleet. It is very likely that these Stiegl ships are only a deception to try to slow us down. Those are real Stiegl ships Colonel, not holograms..." Players: Jan Theys USS Colorado The USS Colorado has sent a robot and the EMH to the surface of the planet Fortune where all life has vanished and signs of the Stiegls have been found by Lieutenant Jones... At the same time the robot is doing strange things and Commander Walker takes the initiative to make a decision. "Captain we can bring back the robot, and let the EMH continue and retrieve what information more that is possible." "Very well, put a team together of three. I like you to start here from this posistion." Captain Harrison realises something has to be done and calls Lieutenant Jones and Lieutenant Sonak. "LT Jones put a team together of three, start from this position, where the robot and the EMH started. LT Sonak, I want you to go over the robot, and retrieve what ever information it has. There's a chance there might be some information usefull for the away teams." When it is time to get into the action Captain Harrison has a last advice. "People, keep your teams together at first sign of trouble your priorty is to get back to the ship. We do not leave anyone behind, and that goes for the EMH too. That is it people." A moment later two teams arrive on the planet surface. While Commander Walker and LT Sonak get to the EMH and the robot, LT Jones takes the same path as the robot did. Finally the entire away team gets together. The EMH is still protesting about this mission. "Now that we are all together could we return to the ship or at least get me back to the ship." But it is now to risky to send the robot and the EMH back to the ship. With the latest reports from Starfleet COmmand it appears the Stiegls have technology to reprogram any system, even without any kind of processor and... from an unknown distance. It is clear the robot has been affected by the Stiegls. It drives around without any purpose and more than a few times the away team members have to jump aside because they are in danger of being hit by the robot. As there is nothing else to do with the robot, LT Sonak fires his phaser to disable the robot, but LT Sonak's phaser doesn't work anymore. The other away team members try their weapons, but without success. The weapons are useless. "Commander Walker to USS Colorado. Colorado do you read?" There is no answer. LT Sonak comes up with the only logical answer. "This Stiegl technology has affected our communicators as well." It is clear that the USS Colorado away team is in trouble. They do not have any choice but to get into the buildings to find something that they can use, and some food as well. Just as the group is talking about it a shuttlecraft of the USS Colorado arrives and lands just in front of the away team. In a moment twelve security officers jump out armed with swords and crossbows. It is LT Godfried Van Bouillon who is in command of the security team. The shuttle is filled with bags with supplies, medicines, swords and crossbows. "Commander Walker, I am LT Van Bouillon. I have been sent here by Captain Harrison. My officers and I are very well trained with these weapons. We will distribute them and teach you how to use them. These weapons cannot be controled by any technology, but they are very effective. We have to destroy the shuttle, as we cannot risk that Stiegls will take over and use the shuttle against us. Your tricorders, phasers, communicators and all other technology will be destroyed in the Shuttle as well. The USS Colorado has a complete team following every move we make. Anyone who whishes to go back to the ship has to leave everything behind... Tricorders, communicators and all that. There is a personal transporter lock on all of us, through our bio signs. If you want to go back to the ship, just do some serious exercises so your heart beat increases. That is the signal to beam you back. All the USS Colorado systems have been shielded. There is no way the Stiegls could get control of any part of the ship." Commander Walker understands the situation is grim. He, and his away team are standing before a building. It is here that the search leaded, but the tricorders could have been manipulated by the Stiegls and this could be a false lead. Searching the entire city with no equipment, is a hopeless mission. Just as Commander Walker wants to explain his decision, a loud explosion is heard. The shuttlecraft has exploded... Players: Johan Michielsens, Conny Parmentier USS Alice Cooper "How do you explain finding yourself living another life, remembering in your sleep a life experience you claim your own, when even you admit of your own free will it takes place nearly ten years from now ?" "I don't know", Jas was willing to confess... "But I plan to find out!" "Verf good, then", Andrei granted his friend a genuine smile, more for Jas' very sake than his. "Maybe its some sort of prophetic vision"? Jas ventured forth a possible explaination, giving the matter some more thought. "Maybe", Andrei at least allowed... "But, if so, why do you suppose you've been permitted such an opportunity to see your very own future -- a future trapped in this... what did you call it... the 'Federation Universe'?" "Yes. That's it. But what do you mean?" "WeIl, if this is indeed prophesy, then both you and I both know from who this unique vision originates", Andrei elucidated in even greater detail... "The Bible is repleat with such examples of during supposed R.E.M. sleep so, if this is such be some Divine purpose behind it... a reason the showing you all these wonderous things". "Agreed: So?" "So why is He showing you, right now, your very own future?" "Once again I know not", Jas confessed with a weary sigh, sounding more tired now than troubled... "But, once again, I plan to find out". "How?" "By waiting to see what happens next in that ether reality", Jas determined this time with greater resolve... "By seeing what indeed happens there next time I fall asleep". "Very goed", Andrei gave him his full approval... "And, on that note, may I also suggest you pray well tonight for Divine guidance in all you do before going indeed to sleep". "Don't I always", Jas grinned in reply. "... and let Thy Holy Will, be done in both this, and all things, concerning both my present life and the future, praising always, Dear Lord, Your Holy Name", Jas ended his nightly prayers, turning off the light next to that bed both he and his wife shared in the Tammyite Universe. . . "May I always prove myself a loyal, humble, obedient servant of Thy Holy Will, straying not from Thy Holy path, but keeping in mind always Your Holy Word... humble and obedient in all I say and do, in one accord with Thy Holy Will. Amen". Players: Crew of the USS Alice Cooper DS2 RPG General Status Report March 2004 USS Earth Communications between the USS Earth and USS Leibnitz are happy ones. Both crews exchange greetings but there is also a warning from Captain Steichen about the Stiegl threat and she explains to Captain Acerta in command of the USS Leibnitz how to counter the Stiegl threat with the technology from almost 40 years in the future, although she does not mention the USS Moon or any time travel stories... This technology is not yet tested... Although Captain Acerta is a bit worried about a new Stiegl threat, the USS Leibnitz is in the process of updates and upgrades very fast. Captain Acerta relays the necessary information about the Stiegls and defenses against the Stiegls to the USS Unity and Ambassador T'nara at the Federation Trade Facility in Schulen territory. This way the entire Federation precense in the Beta Quadrant is informed and making preparations to defend themselves against another Stiegl threat. Communications with Stafleet head quarters are slow and unknown to the USS Earth crew and Ambassador T'nara, the entire Federation is already aware abou the new Stiegl Threat. But unknown also is that an agent of the Bladerend has been spying on the Federation ships and facilities in the Beta Quadrant. And that agent decides to come into action as well... It is Commander T'Lok who reports to Captain Steichen that sensors have detected one Stiegl ship, apparently some kind of supply ship. It is not a hologram. Chief of Security LT CMDR Ulo Hung has a suggestion. "Captain. That Stiegl ship does not seem very dangerous. Maybe we should follow it and it could lead us to a bigger Stiegl facility or even a Stiegl base of major importance." But Commander T'Lok disagrees. "Captain, we should test this new technology now. If we detect or discover a large Stiegl facility or a fleet and our technology does not work, we could be lost or destroyed without being able to send the information to Admiral Steichen or anyone else." It is of course possible that a Stiegl base could be discovered later, and for the moment there is no problem to keep following the Stiegl ship in stealth mode, but time could become a problem. But just at the moment a decision has to be made another problem arises. It is Lieutenant Carmichael who reports to the bridge his security team has captured an intruder. "Bridge this is security team 6. We have captured an unarmed intruder. He has been here for only three seconds." It is Chief of Security LT CMDR Ulo Hung who answeres the call. "Excellent work Lieutenant. I am on my way." Then he turns to the Captain. "Captain. This can only prove that our new systems work. At least our internal security." But Lieutenant Carmichael hasn't finished his report yet. "Captain Steichen, the intruder claims to be a Bladerend agent and he insists that the ship should come to a full stop and he says he has to speak with you immediately. We have him locked up in the brig..." "Understood. Follow the Stiegl ship. This gives us time to talk to the captured intruder." Players: Christine Steichen USS Metrical USS Carry, Commander Jeffrey Dunn in command... The crew of the USS Carry is a seasoned crew on this freighter. They all know what to do, have served with eachother for many years, and address each other with the first name. They don't always dress in uniform either but more like a jumsuit because of the dirty work they do most of the time. The life on a freighter is hard work, long days and most of the time very dirty... "John, what is our ETA to Starbase 369 ?" "Nine days Jeff. I whish we get there one day sooner. We can do that if we take route 14, but some of the relay stations in that sector have detected Stiegl ships there." USS Carry Chief Engineer Don Axapoulos is very sure of the status of the ship. "Well, we have shielded off every little bit of system here and there is no way these Stiegls are going to take over this ship. Even the cargobays are sealed off." And First Offcier Lieutenant Commander Zora Numba can only add. "Let them come, and we will drop some of our load from cargobay 6 onto their noses." The bridge crew laughs. But Commander Dunn wants everything running perfect. "Yeah yeah. Now get to work ladies and gentlemen. I want those manifests checked until the data drops out of the padds. We still have load 56 and 57 to do and that has to be done before we are entering spacedock of Starbase 369." It is daily routine for the USS Carry crew. And even at warp 5 the outer doors of the cargobays are checked manually. There has not been an accident on the USS Carry for nineteen years. With that the USS Carry is record holder in the freighter fleet. But that time could change very soon as one day later... "Jeff, can you come to the bridge please, I think you should see this." When Commander Dunn arrives at the bridge he already has an, idea what this is about. On the main viewer there are four Stiegl ships heading towards the USS Carry. They do not seem friendly. "They will intercept us in 5 days." "Red alert. Battle stations. Inform Starbase 369 of our situation." Starbase 369 receives the message from USS Carry that Stiegl ships are on their way to intercept the USS Carry. But Commander Jeffrey Dunn has added that the USS Carry can handle 4 Stiegl ships... The fleet gathered around and in the neighbourhood of Starbase 369 could be with the USS Carry within four days. There is time enough to jump to the action... Commodore Van Nieuwenhove sends only a part of the fleet to help the USS Carry. Players: Geert Van Nieuwenhove USS Thunderbolt It is uncertain where the Stiegl base or head quarters may be. Even the Borg drones aboard USS Thunderbolt, have no files on the Stiegls. It seems time traveling and thousands of years have taken care of the hiding of the Stiegl head quarters. But they have to have one. A place where the Steigl leadership coordinates all activities. There is no way the Stiegls can do this individually. They must get instructions from some kind of leadership. It now becomes clear to the USS Thunderbolt crew that they are the ones who have to do it. With protected technology the USS Thunderbolt is ready to jump to action, but first a Stiegl communication channel has to be found and spied on without the Stiegls noticing... "Captain. The Borg in engineering report sensors have detected a small Stiegl vessel, maybe even a shuttle only 19 lightyears away. We can be there in seven seconds sir." But First Offcier Els Antwerps does not agree... "Remember we have to monitor their communications. If we destroy all Stiegl ships in our neighbourhood, we will never find their head quarters." Captain Mechels can only agree. The cloaking device is engaged and while cloaked the USS Thunderbolt approaches the Stiegl ship undetected. Now there is only one thing to do: listen to what the Stiegls say to each other. As the first communications come in, the USS Thunderbolt drones only need a few seconds to decode the Stiegl communications... "...To base... approaching the coordinates... I will set up the holographic planet within the specific time. I do not detect any ships or any anomalies. I will report when the planet has been activated." End of communication. It was a short communication, but with advanced Borg drones aboard the USS Thunderbolt it is a rather easy task to track the communication. It is the Borg drone who was given the name Borg Leader who addresses Captain mechels with some terrible news. "Captain Mechels. The information we have retrieved from the tracking of the Stiegl communications, lead through 16 relay stations of the Federation. The Stiegls use the Federation and Hirogen communication networks to communicate with eachother in the Alpha and Delta Quadrant. The source of all these communications lead to your home planet." It is silent on the USS Thunderbolt bridge. Captain Mechels himself is the first to ask for a confirmation. "You mean Earth." "That is correct. We can be in orbit of Earth in 12 minutes from the moment the transwarp conduit is opened." Not that far away the Stiegl agent in his small ship starts up his powergrid. It is amazing that such a small ship can have power to create a holographic planet. But an hour later the planet is created and only sophisticated sensors can tell the difference between a real planet and this holographic planet. Captain Mechels has his own ideas. "This must be a trick. The Stiegls must realise anyone can spy on their communications and they will fool anyone with false information... If the Stiegls are already on Earth, it is to late and everything is lost for the Federation. Let them all die... Destroy the Stiegl ship. Maybe we should think about leaving this Galaxy..." Players: Helena Straetman,Caroline Keuleers,Willem Keuleers, Lieselotte Keuleers, Wouter Keuleers USS Walang The USS Walang has encountered the Donnoranians on route to find the Trum home planet. The technology of the Donnoranians is not as advanced, but still Captain Hendriks, doesn't want to dictate what happens next. In the following negotiations it is clear that the USS Walang has arrived at the border of Donnoranian territory, but this territory is rather small and going around does not result in a lot of loss of time. To keep the peace the USS Walang travels around Donnoranian space, to arrive in a large unclaimed region of space. While through Station Kirie 1 messages come in about the Stiegls and the threat for the entire Galaxy, the USS Walang crew has already made the upgrades to defend themselves against the Stiegls if necessary, although the Stiegl threat is not really expected in this region of the Galaxy. On route and on scedule, the USS Walang crew has time to relax, but also to map and study new stars and new space phenomena. While sensors gather data especially the scientists again have the time of their lives. This is what they have signed up for, exploration. But after a few weeks, the daily routine is getting to the entire crew. Maintenance is done, systems are checked, drills are executed, just as planned, but it is obvious this is going to be a long voyage without to much interesting events. In the mean time on Station Kirie 1, Lieutenant Commander Doctor Lore Vladinski in command receives some disturbing news from Starfleet Head Quarters. The message is a few days old and it is not certain the situation has changed. Vladinski doesn't hesitate and relays the Starfleet message to the USS Walang immediately. Incoming message Starfleet Command: Admiral C.G. Ropos To all Starfleet ships and facilities: We have lost contact with the fleet we have sent to another Galaxy. This small fleet could be having difficulties of any kind. A second fleet has been sent in the same direction. We ask all ships and facilities to monitor and relay any communication with both fleets. End of Message Although at first the message from Starfleet Command does not seem to matter for the USS Walang far away from the Federation, it indicates the fear of the Federation for the Stiegl threat. But only a few days later on the bridge of the USS Walang First Officer CMDR Harry Belafonte, reports. "Captain, we have received a Federation signal. There should not be any Federation ships and certainly not any Federation facility in this region of the Galaxy. I suggest extreme caution." Players: Marianne Loogen USS Vertigo Day 135 00.23 The Kholsana fleet has reached home and immediately joins up with their fleet to defend their home planet. The Federation fleet of 23 ships sets course to the coming Stiegl fleet, this way helping the Kholsana, who can regroup and get organised in the mean time. Day 135 14.36 The Federation fleet under command of Commodore Jeffrey Slater meets the Stiegl fleet in the most violent way. Space is filled with weapons fire, destructive projectiles and huge balls for fire... the result of Stiegl ships exploding. but the Stiegls also have some success. One of the older Federation ships, USS Conversion, has some damage in the early minutes of the battle. The Stiegls use their technology to take over the USS Conversion... Day 135 14.47 Captain Patrick Levermann, in command of the USS Conversion knows his ship has been taken over by hostile forces. He has no choice to initiate the selfdestruct sequence and orders to abandon ship The USS Conversion crew is transported of the ship, without any technology to be sure the Stiegls cannot use that in the disadvantage of the Federation fleet. The USS Conversion is lost and explodes just at the time the last Stiegl ship is also destroyed. The Stiegls did not have any chance... But without any warning a second Stiegl fleet appeares out of nowhere and starts attacking the Federation ships... Players: Nadine Peeters, Caroline van Rhee, Thomas van Rhee USS Iceberg The USS Iceberg is on route to Lamara Prime escorted by eight other Starfleet vessels, thirty thousand troops to stop all Stiegl activity on Lamara Prime. Three Stiegl ships also approach Lamara Prime, but the Federation fleet will arrive first. The ships are getting ready, the troops are saddling up. Players: Jan Theys USS Colorado On planet Fortune Commander Walker has already understood the situation. "Allright people lets get back to the Colorado. You heard what Lt. Van Buillon said, so start running." In the mean time aboard the USS Colorado. Captain Harrison gives his orders. "Mr Torak, as soon you have a transporter lock on our people start bringing then back." "Captain, Torak here sir the landing party is back on board the Silverado." Commadner Walker immediately confirms his presence on the ship. "Captain I'm on my way the bridge, I like to compare findings together with Lt. Jones ans Lt. Sonak." "Mr Sonak, please report to the bridge, and bring your report." "Sonak here Captain, on my way." Only a few moments later the small group of officers have gathered themselves with the Captain. "So people what can you tell me." First Officer Walker is the first to report and points at the viewscreen. "Captain we found some readings that looked more like drowings we found on earlier report like this. According the Lt. Jones it tells us how the Stiegls arived on the planet and what they planned on doing." "Lt. Jones ?" Lieutenant Jones explains and gives some details. "Captain it really is very simple te read." "Simple ?" "Yes sir, the drowings read like words. The drowings tells the story of how the Stiegls arived on the planet and hwo they took control over everything they found on the planet. They actually arived on the planet about 475 years ago with the plan to take over the planet and everything on it. The Fortunians had no defences to help them." Commander Walker seems very interested. "Everything is related to what happened 475 years ago. That's when the take over started. The drowings also clearly tell us that they had plans to take over a great deal more." "Clarify Number One." "Timetravel." "Timetravel ?" Commander Walker has some explaining to do. "Yes sir, timetravel, if we check our findings on what we have about Stiegls technology, we can preapere a counter attack before in a form a defence before the Stiegls ever started their take over 475 years ago." But the Captain is not yet convinced and asks Lieutenant Sonak for a second opinion. "Mr. Sonak do you agree!" "Yes and No." "Which is it Mr. Sonak." "Both Captain, I did find something else on other drowings that look similar. these tell us how they took over. Their plan is to take over what they find for their resources, once they have everything in place. Therefore I must agree with Commander Walker for timetravel. I can start my computation for timewarp." All officers are informed by the Captain that they have to prepare for timetravel. Tension rises almost immediately. Questions like what happens with the temporal directive are asked, but most of the crew realise this could be one of the few oportunities to stop the Stiegls or find out what they are going to do. the fate of the Federation and even the entire Galaxy is at stake. Only one hour later Lieutenant Sonak reports he is ready. The time warp computation has been locked into the ships computer. The USS Colorado will use the star of the planet Fortune for the time warp jump. The ship jumps to warp. As the exact day when the Stiegls arrive at planet Fortune is not known Lieutenant Sonak has calculated a margin so they should be at planet Fortune before the Stiegls do. "Warp 6... warp 7... warp 8... warp 9... warp 9.4... 9.6... 9.8... entering gravity of the star..." The USS Colorado makes the turn around the star and jumps over the warp threshold... Only a few minutes later the USS Colorado is in high orbit of the planet Fortune 475 years ago. Slowly all systems come back on line. But the waiting is long. The only subspace communications come from the Romulans... But after three months the patience of the crew of the hiding USS Colorado is rewarded. Sensors detect a Stiegl ship... Players: Johan Michielsens, Conny Parmentier USS Alice Cooper FEDERATION UNIVERSE: USS ALICE COOPER-B ( NCC-7734-999-B ) "Ambassador Stevens"? a voice in the dark wake Jas from another troubled sleep only to find himself in that other reality, lying in bed in his V.I.P. quarters aboard that Federation Starship... the USS Alice Cooper-B. "Yes, Cmdr. Eerag", Jas addressed by name that goed ship's esteemed First Officer. "Captain Kalee asked me to inform you we're entering now communications range of Angel One, requesting your presence here on the bridge before establishing contact with the new leadership planetside. As per your request, Ms. Corona has already been brought here under guard". "Very goed, Cmdr. And how's she doing?" "As well as can be expected waiting both your, and Captain Kalee' s, arrival. Both Lt. Albertson and two other security personnel are keeping a close watch on her every move. At least she seems to be cooperative, behaving herself". "Very goed. On my way", Jas assured the distant Cmdr. Eerag, terminating right after that his private comm link with the bridge. "Ah, yes", Jas muttered immediately thereafter, sitting on the edge of his other bed back in the Federation Universe... "Lieutenant Albertson. No doubt keeping a close watch as well on Gilly' s very mind, her every thought". Then, remembering his initial disapproval concerning Captain Kalee' s command decision to have a Betazed officer monitor Gilly Corona's every thought, Jas thought better now of Raz's decision. Hopefully, they'd have advance warning should their unwilling guest prove herself untrustworthy. Hopefully!! ... Players: Crew of the USS Alice Cooper DS2 RPG General Status Report April 2004 USS Earth The USS Earth is in pursuit of a Stiegl ship far away from Federation space, in the Beta Quadrant. But that is not the only problem Captain Steichen has to deal with. An agent of the Bladerend has been discovered and put into a holding cell. The Bladerend agent only wants to talk to Captain Steichen. A few minutes later Captain Steichen and Commander T'Lok join USS Earth Security Chief LT CMDR Ulo Hung in the brig. Before anyone can address the Bladerend agent steps out of his cell through the forcefield and gives his first warning. "Now let me tell you, there is nothing on your ship that can hold me. i just came here to talk, not to fight. So you better listen to me." But the security officers already have weapons in their hands pointing to the Bladerend agent, ready to stunn or even kill him if necessary. "And those weapons will not have any effect either. Now let's talk. The Bladerend are investigating the relations between species in this Galaxy, after we have detected some serious violations of altering time and space continuum. These violations could not yet be proved, so the investigation continues. Although I must say some of your species have done some serious damage by returning to their past." Security Chief Hung dos not agree with the Bladerend agent at all. "Wait a minute. We didn't start this. It were the Stiegls. You should go after them. We are only defending ourselves. Besides, you just come in here and tell us what to do ? How would you feel if we did that to you. You don't have any authority over other species. maybe you are on the side of the Stiegls. Captain I suggest we get this meddler of our ship." But Commander T'Lok has more sense for diplomacy. "Maybe you should tell us your name first and explain what you investigate." "All right all right. My name is Officer Dnebo of the Bladerend Space Agency. We investigate all anomalies in the universe. We try to addapt to the region we are working in, but sometimes more radical interventions are needed." Although this sounds logical to Commander T'Lok, it is not sure who is to be feared most, the Stiegls ot the Bladerend. "Who gives you, the Bladerend Space Agency the authority to intervene in Galaxies and in the evolution of other species ?" "We have to do that, otherwise the universe becomes one big chaotic place. We must keep order." Just before Commander T'Lok can say something, Security Chief Hung steps forward again. "So why don't you talk to the Stiegls. They started all this." But the Bladerend agent shows nis neutral intensions. "That is a serious accusation. Can you prove that ?" Hung doesn't hide his amazement any longer. He is on the edge of losing his temper. "Why don't you come out of your office a bit more and look around you." Just as Captain Steichen wants to intervene and have a little talk with her Security Chief, the Bladerend agent changes his attitude. "I have talked to my superiors. No your technology cannot detect my communications, don't even try. I will talk to the Stiegl authority. If they are hiding something or come close to any violation of principle Bladerend laws, they wil be... arrested. In the mean time your ship is going nowhere and will come to a complete stop until I return. Putting a Bladerend agent into a holding cell is a violation." Without waiting for an answer the Bladerend agent disappears. There is no trace of him. But Security Chief Hung has not yet spoken the last word yet. "Captain, if we come to a full stop, we will lose the Stiegl ship for certain. Who knows when this agent returns. That could take days, or even weeks. Captain, we can't let this go..." Although the Bladerend have helped Captain Steichen in the past, it doesn't mean they will now. Captain Steichen thinks that it is a good thing is that this Officer Dnebo is of her ship, now continue following the Stiegl vessel. Players: Christine Steichen USS Metrical The USS Starmaker, USS Cruiser, USS Sunrise and USS Energy jump to warp to assist the USS Cargo, which is under threat of four Stiegl ships. The rest of Commodore Van Nieuwenhove's fleet regroups in the region around Starbase 369. In the mean time aboard the USS Carry preparations are made for the worst. Commander Dunn, in command, gives his orders. "I want all weapons ready, shields and armor to maximum, plot sollutions and full safeties. Secure the cargo load in cargobay 6 and 7, reset gravity controls in all cargobays, lock off all sytems and create a holo diversion on all decks." The small crew of the USS Carry jumps to action and in a few days they have changed the freighter into a battleship. The loads in cargobay 1 and 2 are moved towards the lower deck... When the USS Starmaker, USS Cruiser, USS Sunrise and USS Energy meet with the USS Carry the Stiegl fleet is already closeby and a confrontation is not avoidable... "Red alert. Contact the Stiegl ships they have to break off their attack." "There is no answer sir. Sir we are hit and again." "Attack pattern Delta 5. Keep the range and follow up. Signal the other ships." In the battle that follows even the USS Carry mkes a few good shots. The Stiegls have not yet learned anything about open battle with ships. It is already well known to the Federation of how to destroy these Stiegl ships with polaron beams and one by one the Steigl ships are destroyed. Aparently the Stiegls use these kinds of attacks to test te defenses of their enemies. But at this time it is clear the Stiegls are not yet ready for a full scale attack on the Galaxy. With only light damage of the USS Cruiser and USS Energy, the Stiegl enemy ships are blown into oblivion. A few days later the USS Carry docks at Starbase 369. The escorting ships retake their position in the sector as a defensive ring around Starbase 369. The supplies brought by the USS Carry are very welcome. Among a lot of power generators there is a load of three thousand quantum torpedoes. A few days later, just when everyone is getting back into the routine of everyday work, a message comes in from Starbase 54. It is just a message, no further communication. Incoming message from Admiral Bridge, Starbase 54 Commodore Van Nieuwenhove, you are expected at Starbase 54 for a meeting with me as fast as possible. You will drop everything, take your fastest ship and get to my office at Starbase 54. End of message Starbase 369 Chief of Operations Commander Vera Johnsson has examined the message and she is absolutely sure the message did not come from Starbase 54. When Starbase 54 is contacted, there is no answer. It is like Starbase 54 does not exsist anymore... Still Commodore Van Nieuwenhove sends a message, but he does not tell the truth. He finds an excuse, tells a lie, and does everything he has to do, but he will not leave leave Starbase 369. He doesn't trust anyone anymore. Therefore Commodore Van Nieuwenhove asks Admiral Bridge to come to you on Starbase 369 himself. But there is still no answer... Players: Geert Van Nieuwenhove USS Thunderbolt The USS Thunderbolt does not go to Earth to investigate the possibility that the Stiegls have their head quarters on the Human home planet, center of the Federation. The pessimistic mood aboard lets the crew think that the Federation will probably be lost in a matter of time. These Stiegls seem to be so advanced and they keep coming that there doesn't seem to come an end to it. The USS Thunderbolt moves slowly throught he layers of the holographic planet, just created by a Stiegl ship and without any warning fires its weapons. A moment later the Stiegl ship is gone as is the holographic created planet. more and more crewmembers agree that this galaxy is no longer safe and they fear that they have to kleep fighting until the end of their days. Although they know that the USS Thunderbolt is almost indestructable, they do not look forward to a life of running and fighting. Captain Mechels has already said that it is best to leave the Galaxy, and maybe that is so... Because the USS Thunderbolt does not want to draw to much attention it travels at high warp towards the borders of the Galaxy. The journey still will take almost a year, but everything is better than staying in this Galaxy. The USS Thunderbolt crew comes to peace. some of the crewmembers families are picked up on the way, while the Borg advanced ship travels through the Lapha Quadrant and into Federation space, undetected as it is cloaked... Unknown to the USS Thunderbolt crew, by taking the decision to leave this Galaxy, history is changing. With the final crew and their families the now crew of 214 souls sets course to leave the Galaxy. maybe the USS Thunderbolt crew will be the last of the surviving human species... But the voyage is still long. While the crew make themselves at home in the small ship, the senior staff and the Borg Leader coordinate the trip on the Bridge. The nearest Galaxy is about two months away, using an extended transwarp conduit. It is decided that once the USS Thunderbolt is in open space, and the ship is no longer detected by anyone, the conduit will be opened and the jump will be made. "Captain, I estimate we will be in open space in 6 months, 7 days and 21 hours, at this speed." Of course this is still a long time, but there should not be taken any risks of detection. In a transwarp conduit the USS Thundrbolt could be in danger. No chances should be taken. "Captain, we are entering Klingon territory. Sensors detect Stiegl activity. A few lightyears away a small Klingon fleet is fighting against a small Stiegl fleet. It looks bad for the Stiegls. More Klingon ships are on their way to the batlle. I don't believe the Stiegls can see them as they are cloaked. The klingons don't need our help sir. But sir, our long range sensors also detect a large Stiegl fleet of 134 ships coming from the other side of Klingon territory. The Klingons do not have enough defenses against such a fleet at those coordinates if they don't act immediately. We could warn the Klingons sir or destroy that Stiegl fleet ourselves. We can be there in less than one minute at transwarp speed." The USS Thundrbolt seems the only defense against the Stiegls. There is a way to let the Borg drones find out where the source or base is of the Stiegls. Once the Stiegl leaders are terminated, the Stiegl threat could be almost over. Players: Helena Straetman,Caroline Keuleers,Willem Keuleers, Lieselotte Keuleers, Wouter Keuleers USS Walang When the USS Walang detects a Federation signal in that region of the Galaxy where there should not be any Federation activity, Captain Hendriks is cautious. "Report those signals to Starfleet head Quarters and let them handle it and in the mean time send a message in reply to the incoming signals and ask for more details." "Captain the signals we receive are only signals. There is no message or no further information. As the source of these signals is on our way to the Trum home planet, we will not lose time. But we will arrive there in one month and seven days." Although there is some anxiety among the crew of the USS Walang they are also hopeful that they might have found some lost ship or some Federation survivors. Whent he USS Walang is getting closer to the source of the Federation signal, the misterious message is not getting any better. While the USS Walang proceeds, a reply of Starfleet Head Quarters comes in through the Kirie 1 station. Incoming Message from Starfleet Command relayed by Station Kirie 1. Captain Hendriks; We have analysed the signal. It is a signal coming from the USS Athena, a Federation vessel. That is all I can tell you. The matter of the USS Athena is classified." End of message. Now the crew of the USS Walang get s more curious. All kinds of speculations go around and rumors fill the daily conversation. First Officer Harry Bellafonte has to explain to Countor the Trax what all this about the USS Athena means, as Countor does not really understand why there is so much talk about a Federation Starship. "You see Countor, a starship of the Federation has no way to get this far away from the Federation as fast as the USS Athena. As this is an experimental secret ship it can only mean that this ship has a new kind of propulsion system. If this is true, we can use this new technology and travel faster and gain time." Now even Countor realises the importance of the USS Athena. "That is indeed exciting news, if it is so of course as you say." And while time passes the USS Athena and USS Walang come closer together. Subspace communication is established when the two Federation ships are only two weeks apart. In command of the USS Athena is Lieutenant Commander Bradley. "Captain hendriks. I am Lieutenant Commander Bradley, USS Athena Chief of Operations and in command of this vessel. It is so good to see another Federation vessel. I cannot tell you about this ship, but you have to know that when we were doing some experiments, we ended up here in this far region of the Galaxy. But our ship was damaged, we lost 29 of our crew including the Captain and First Officer. We are doing the last repairs to our main systems and our ship should be in full working order when you get here..." When two weeks later the USS Walang and the USS Athena meet, Starfleet Command is contacted. But before there is an answer from Head Quarters Lieutenant Commander Bradley reports aboard the USS Walang. "Captain. My orders are specific. I may not allow any of your crew aboard my ship. This ship is top secret. Not even you can come aboard. My orders come directly from Fleet Admiral Jersey Bounder, Starfleet Security. Of course for the rest, I do not have any orders, so I will report to you as you are a superior officer. As long as you do not come aboard my ship, I will follow your orders until I have different orders from Starfleet Command." Captain Hendriks understands the position of Lieutenant Commander Bradley. She leaves it up to Bradley what to do. The USS Athena can go home or stay with the USS Walang. If Bradley decides to go home, Captain Hendriks will provide the USS Athena with all information they need, like wormholes. In the mean time there has been conducted a full scan of the USS Athena and the USS Athena's new propulsion system which looks indeed very promissing. Captain Hendriks wants her engineers to integrate the new propulsion systems into the USS Walang. Players: Marianne Loogen USS Vertigo Day 135 15.03 Commodore Slater realises that the Stiegl ships, appearing out of nowhere have surprised the Federation fleet completely. He orders Commander Matz to signal the fleet to regroup. It is clear a decisive battle will happen in the next 20 minutes. But the Federation fleet is totally outnumbered. Day 135 15.29 The first Federation ship, USS New Star, is destoryed by the Stiegl enemy, who only lost two ships themselves. While the Federation fleet is retreating, the USS Honduras is lost as well, the USS Paris, USS Pole and USS Star Jet, are heavily damaged, while the shields of the USS Vertigo itself are collapsing. Some of the crewmembers of the damaged ships are transported to a Stiegl prison ship. Lieutenant Commander Matz is one of those almost 50 in total. Day 135 15.34 The Kholsana war fleet arrives at the battle. Just in time to safe the Federation fleet from total destruction. Now the Stiegl fleet is totally outnumbered and the enemy ships are destroyed one by one in a matter of minutes. The last Stiegl ship surrenders and the commander of this Stiegl ship wants a free flight. He claims to have Federation hostages aboard his vessel. In the holding cells of this ship are indeed 48 Federation officers. The Stiegl Commander explains that if the federation and the Kholsana will not let him go, he will blow up the ship and the hostages... "Well, Number One, its concerning this recent communique from Starfleet H.Q.... the recent Stiegl incident involving the explosion deep in Siegl territory". "Yes, Sir?" "Yes, Cmdr.. Would you please contact Starfleet Command..., determine if they have any reason at all to suspect a connection between this and our present mission to Angel One". "Yes, Sir", Salgud Eerag promised after just amoment's pause, confusion evident in his curious voice... "Do you suspect a possible connection between events in Stiegl territory and our present mission here to Angel ene?" "I don't knov, Cmdr.. Honestly", Captain Raz Kalee confessed after a similar pause, hesitant... "However, at the very same time, I wouldn't rule out such a possibility. Don't forget that Stiegl territory is no farther from our present location than either the Romulans, Cardassians, and/or the Ferengi. "And, since we already have very goed reason to suspect these other three parties up to no goed here, it stands to reason that the Stiegl might also have goed reason to foster anti-Federation sentiments here on Angel One. After all there is a state of open hostility between both us and the Stiegl homeworld... perfect reason for the Stiegl to involve themselves in any hostile, anti-Federation, activity in activity in the local area". "Coincidence, Sir?", Salgud was bold enough to suggest from his current location on the Alice Cooper-B's bridge, unable to see over the intercom Captain Kalee's troubled expression sitting in hls Ready Room. "Maybe, Commander Eerag. Maybe. But one thing' s for sure I learned back in my native Israel working for the 'Mossad' ... the Israelii Secret Service... back in the 20th century". "Yes, Sir?" "Never take anything for granted. Suspect everybody!!" "Very goed, Sir". Players: Crew of the USS Alice Cooper DS2 RPG General Status Report May 2004 USS Earth Federation Ambassador T'nara is kept up to date about the situation and in case of emergency the USS Leibnitz and USS Unity are close by to assist the USS Earth, which is still following a small Stiegls ship, probably some kind of scout ship. It is not clear whether the Stiegl ship has detected the USS Earth, but if it did, it doesn't show any reaction to the presence of the USS Earth. After a few hours there is still no sign of the Bladerend agent Dnebo and with everyone back to the routine of duty, the thought of the Bladerend changing the universe and punishing everyone who steps in their way is soon forgotten, especially when the Stiegl ship suddenly changes course to a small star system designated as MM-999. The star system is so small, with only one planet, that the Federation didn't give it a name. "Captain, the Stiegl ship is changing course. Shall I stay in pursuit ?" "Yes keep with them, but not to close. Is there any contact yet with USS Moon or Admiral Steichen ?" "No Captain." Although Captain Steichen has sent a report to the USS Moon, there is no answer yet... "Captain, the Stiegl ship has come to a full stop. Captain some kind of tractor beam has appeared out of nowhere." "A cloaked ship ! Red alert." While the crew of USS Earth runs to their battle stations, the small Stiegl ship seems to be drawn into a bigger cloaked ship. There is no time to lose and a micro probe is launched. When the first data of the probe is coming in it is already to late. The Stiegls have detected the USS Earth. A huge ship decloaks... "Captain, that ship is four times the size of ours." "That doesn't mean anything Lieutenant. Weapons ready Mister Hung. Fire at will if they attack us. Open a channel to the Stiegl ship." "Channel open Captain. No respons." "Captain, the Stiegl Ship is powering up weapons, lots of weapons. I can't even count them. Captain we are being hailed." "On screen." "Audio only Captain." "Let's hear it then." The audio channel is opened and a heavy voice sounds on the USS Earth bridge... "You will lower your defences and surrender your ship. Prepare to be boarded. If you do not comply, you will be destroyed." It is silent on the USS Earth bridge for just a moment. Security Chief Hung is the first to talk. "They just sound like the Borg. Remember Captain what we did to the Borg ?" But before Captain Steichen can say anything the Stiegl ship fires some of their weapons. it is probably a warning shot, but it hits the USS Earth and damages the shields. "Captain shields down to 88 percent." "Use the enhanced weapons and fire." The weapon systems of the USS Earth have been upgraded to more than a few years into the future technology and this is as good moment as any to put them to the test. The quantum torpedoes mark 9, leave the torpedo launchers, and more and more as if it is snowing torpedoes. There is no defence against this kind of violence... "Captain torpedoes hit target, their shields are collapsing. Captain target is destroyed." "Look for survivors." But an almost familiar voice behind the Captain interupts further orders. It is Agent Dnebo. "So you are the one who leaves when I order you to stay. You have destroyed a vessel of the Stiegls. Luckily there was only one person aboard that ship. What exactly happened ?" Everyone stares at agent Dnebo. First question is obvious. Only one person on that kind of ship ? Captain Steichen decides to tell the Bladerend agent Dnebo the truth. He should be able to investigate the evidence. Players: Christine Steichen USS Metrical Mesages from all over the Federation come in at Starbase 369, from ships and facilities who have been attacked or are threatened by Stiegls. Up to now the Federation can handle the attacks and there is no report of a large scale attack of Stiegls. There doesn't seem to be anything to be worried about. But there is still the matter of Starbase 54 and Admiral Bridge... Aboard the USS Starmaker the engineers have upgraded and tuned the long range sensors and without leaving position the USS Starmaker can make a sensor sweap as far as Starbase 54. The first reports do not look promising. "Captain T'kon, sir, Our new sensors indicate that Starbase 54 is gone sir." "That would not be logical Lieutenant. Starbases do not disappear. Run a diagnostic on those new sensors." "I just did Captain. There is nothing wrong with the sensors. And if the disappearance of Starbase 54 had been set up by a holographic image or any other disturbance our sensors would detect that. I will run a second diagnostic Captain, but I think the result will be the same." "Report as soon as you are ready. I will contact Starbase 369..." The huge station in the middle of space, Starbase 369 was the center of communications in the sector, but communications in the sector had decreased rapidly. An investigation was done and the conclusion was very simple: "Commodore, communications towards us and from us are disturbed." It was now clear to everyone they had to prepare for a large scale attack. The nearest starbase, Starbase 54 was gone, probably destroyed, there were no other ships in communications range but the fleet of Commodore Van Nieuwenhove himself, and even Starfleet Command did not have any answers. After two full days, more and more of the communications were either interupted or just changed into static. But that was only the start of the problems. On the third day the USS Energy which was the most far away from Starbase 369 reported that stars started to disappear as well. Entire star systems seemed to have been erased from space as if they never exsisted. The USS Energy launched some probes, but those probes vanished as they reached two lightyears from the ship. More porbes were sent, also by the other ships of Commodore Van Nieuwenhove's fleet. It suddenly seemed as if space around Starbase 369 was collapsing slowly. As Starbase 369 Chief of Engineering, Commander George Senden reports. "Commodore, everything around Starbase 369 is disappearing. Our ships have tried their weapons, sent out probes, but without any effect. I can see only two possibilities. One, the Stiegls have a weapon launched at space itself and destroying the entire Galaxy, or two, there is something terribly wrong with our own technology, either done by the Stiegls or for any other reason..." "Understood. There must be something wrong with all your systems and the systems on our ships. It might be possible that the Stiegls have succeeded to control some of our systems without you knowing it. Get those systems repaired." Players: Geert Van Nieuwenhove USS Thunderbolt Klingon space... It is just a coincidence that the USS Thunderbolt, cloaked, is traveling through Klingon space at the moment the Stiegls seem to have found a weak point in the Klingon defences. A fleet of 134 Stiegl ships are on their way to enter Klingon space at coordinates they could break through the Klingon defences and open a gap for a much larger fleet. The Klingons would not be able to hold that kind of attack on their territory. The renegade Federation starship USS Thunderbolt jumps to transwarp speed and catches the Stiegl fleet in the act. Just at the point when these Stiegl ships prepair to destroy to heroic Klingon Birds of Prey, the USS Thunderbolt appears out of nowhere, opening high hield polaron weapons taking out 92 Stiegl ships in one attack. The Klingon Captains of the Birds of Prey can only watch in amazement. A second attack of the USS Thunderbolt destroys all remaining Stiegl ships. And only a moment later the USS Thunderbolt cloaks and disappears. "Captain, all Stiegl ships have been destroyed. We do not have any damage. There were two attempts of the Stiegls to take over our systems, but these attempts were neutralized. We are back on course towards the border of the Galaxy." Lieutenant Malory at the helm reports. "ETA to the border is 6 months, 6 days and 5 hours, at this speed sir." As soon as the USS Thunderbolt has eliminated the Stiegl fleet, threat to the Klingon Empire, the Klingons have time to regroup and prepare for the next Stiegl attack. Unknown to the Klingons there will not be another Stiegl attack on their territory. The Stiegl leadership have experienced a moment of shock, when they saw their 6th battlegroup blown to pieces in a matter of seconds. The Stiegl leadership believes this is the doing of Klingon special forces, with ships and weapons they cannot win against. On a small class-Y planet far away from the Klingon Empire the Stiegl Leadership has an urgent meeting. The Stiegl Supreme Leader speaks about his concerns. "We have to be carefull. This was an unexpected set back, but we have to deal with this. We must leave these Klingons alone until we find a way to defeat their secret weapons. It is as if the 6th Battlegroup was lured into a trap. This may not happen again." But another of the Stiegl Leaders is not yet convinced. "Sire, we must take them now that we can. We don't know how many of these secret weapons or ships they have, but there can only be a few. We must find those ships and destroy them at once. If we let the Klingon Empire survive, they will keep resisting and maybe even become a serious danger to our plan to get this Galaxy for our own. How can we defend this policy before our people. We must take..." The Stiegl Supreme Leader has taken a hand weapon and fires. The other Leader cannot finish his sentence and is vaporized. After a moment of silence the Stiegl Supreme Leader is the first to speak again. "Is there anyone else who wants to question my decisions?" There is no Stiegl who dares to object to the decisions of the Supreme One... In the mean time abaord the USS Thunderbolt plans are made, and especially the route to follow to the border of the Galaxy is the first priority. The region of space in which the USS Thunderbolt will pass on its way is scanned, to prevent any surprises. But after a day there already is the first surprise as Chief of Operations LT Leeloo Brussels reports. "Captain. Our sensors detect a small planet on our route, designated as PP-77, which has a huge amount of orbital defense platforms. The platforms are Stiegl sir. This might be the center of the Stiegl leadership." "Go to PP-77, we will investigate the situation. If the Stiegl leadership is indeed on PP-77, we will destroy everything." Players: Helena Straetman,Caroline Keuleers,Willem Keuleers, Lieselotte Keuleers, Wouter Keuleers USS Walang Quantum slipstream drive... "Captain, this quantum slipstream drive was first brought to us by USS Voyager, when it returned from the Delta Quadrant. Apparently Starfleet has found a way to use it and make it compatible with the systems of the USS Athena. But it seems Starfleet engineers were optimistic. We could integrate this quantum slipstream drive into our systems as well, but I estimate it will only work for an hour and then overload our systems. We should only use it in case of real emergency." Captain Hendriks understands the situation. And the first adjustments of the USS Walang engineers starts shortly after. Lieutenant Commander Bradley, in command of USS Athena has understood that although he has specific orders not to reveal what is aboard the USS Athena what it makes so special, he needs help from the USS Walang engineers to repair and updtae the USS athena systems. As the Captain of the USS Athena has been killed in one of the many experiments, the knowledge of Bradley himself is rather limited. And so a cooperation between the USS Walang crew and USS Athena crew starts. Not only does the USS Athena have a quantum slistream drive, it has secundairy shields, multiphasic phasers, shielded quantum torpedoes, enhanced sensor pallets and a subspace transporter system. All of these systems are experimental and when Captain Hendriks asks Bradley how the crew of theis very dangerous experimental ship was selected, Bradley only has one answer. "Captain, we are all volonteers. It wasn't even certain whether these systems would work at all. For all we knew the USS Athena could have exploded just by testing some of these systems. If the USS Athena systems prove to be working, it only has one purpose: destruction of a possible enemy." This thought has occured to Captain Hendriks and her officers before, but now it is confirmed. starfleet has made a super battle ship, with technology which could disturbe the power balance in the entire Alpha Quadrant. Bradley thinks there is only one of these ships in the fleet, but it is not unlikely there are more of them. A month later, the USS Walang quantum slipstream drive has been completed. All repairs on the USS Athena have been completed as well. Both ships are now on course to the Trum new home planet. Starfleet Command has been contacted at this time to report the situation, but a reply is not to be expected in two weeks due to the huge distance between the ships and Head Quarters. As the two ships proceed at high speed, the enhanced sensors of the USS Athena detect a very strange black nebula of some kind not that far away of route to the Trum home planet. Intreged by this strange phenomena Captain Hendriks gives permission to have a look and investigate. But getting closer, sensors give a more accurate picture of what happens here as USS Walang Chief of Operations LT CMDR John Strauss reports. "Captain in the middle of this phenomena there seems to be a rift in space. Wait a minute. That is not a phenomena Captain. These are creatures. And according the USS Athena there are thousands of small creatures who form this phenomena. All attempts to communicate with them are failing Captain. there is no way we can talk to them. They could be a threat, but they could be friendly as well. there is no way of telling until they attack us. Then we are sure they are hostile..." Players: Marianne Loogen USS Vertigo Day 135 15.38 Lieutenant Commander Matz has found a way to get the hostages off the Stiegl ship. But she is one of the hostages. The only thing she has to do is contact a Starfleet vessel and tell them to fire a polaron beam directly folowed by the transporter beam. This should work to transport the Federation hostages aboard the Stiegl vessel of and bring them into safety. Day 135 16.02 Lieuteant Commander Matz is the senior officer in the group of hostages. She starts organising the group to gather everything useful to get themselves free and out of this hall they have been locked up in. In a short time most of the hostages have found all kinds of pipes, wires, but some also found some kind of Stiegl scanning devices and even a few hand weapons. It seems the Stiegls do not know how to lockup and secure prisoners. Time is short. but no communications with the Federation or Kholsana fleet has been established. Day 135 16.19 The Starfleet hostages break the door of their prison open and the first of them walks through the door. Their doesn't seem to be any resistance... Players: Nadine Peeters, Caroline van Rhee, Thomas van Rhee USS Iceberg While the the USS Iceberg troops are slowly eliminating all Stiegl resistance, apparently the Stiegls central command has noticed that the Stiegls at Lamara are starting to be defeated. Therefore the last Stiegl reserve fleet is sent to Lamara... Players: Jan Theys USS Colorado Unknown to the crew of the USS Colorado, they are changing history by traveling through time, to shut down all activities of the enemy Stiegls. But is there an alternative ? On the bridge of USS Colorado, Lieutenant Jones reports. "Captain the stiegl ship has not yet detect us." Lieutenant Sonak at tactical has something to add. "Captain they are firing at the center of the city." But the Captain needs more information than that. "What's in the center of the city?" Commander Walker realises something has to be done. "It's were we found the drowings that's were they started the take over. We should destroy the ship captain, we can't take any chances." And the Captain does not hesitate... "Mr Sonak Quatum torpedoes." The Stiegl ship has no defenses against the USS Colorado. "The stiegl ship is destroyed." "Scan the surface for life signs." Lieutenant Ally Jones punches a few buttons. "Scanning. Scans indecate 460 million Furtonians throughout the intire planet." But again Lieutenant Sonak has to add some bad news. "I've detect a small cloacked ship intering the planets atmposhere, it will land about 5 mile's from the city." "Can you destroy the vessel." "Unpossible to do so!" "Lieutenant Jones, what can you tell me." "I scanned three stielgs in the vessel." "Can we transport them out?" Lieutenant Doran at operations looks at his displays while he makes a fast calculation. "Captain, we can fire a tachyon pulse on their ship, which will disrupt their shields. Then we can beam them out." Captain Harrison knows a fast move is necessary. "Do it. Beam them directly to the brig, neutralise their equipment and weapons." Only a moment later Lieutenant Sonak fires the tachyon burst. Only a moment after that the Stiegl crew of three materializes in the USS Colorado brig, in seperate cells. One of the Stiegls, who calls himself Horum asks to see the man in charge immediately. When Captain Harrison, First Officer Walker and a security team enter the brig, the Stiegl called Horum explains. "You must be the legendary Captain Harrison. I am honored to meet you. Although I knew this day was coming I don't really know what to say... I mean personally. Look, me and my friends here are in the Stiegl resistance group. We have traveled to planet Fortune, to build a resistance base against our government. We have bombarded the base of the regular Stiegl army on Fortune, who wanted to make the inhabitants of this planet their slaves. You must help us to build our resistance base. We know you are from the future and we can use your technology. Please help, before the Stiegl government starts the violent destruction of this Galaxy." Captain Harrison is most surprise. "Well mister Horum, I must say that history shows us that the planet Fortune has been taken over by Stiegls who are certainly not resisting Stiegl government. On the contrary, the Stiegls, present on Fortune only want to take over the Galaxy. We have been in battle with them to defend our federation. So either you are lying, or you seem to have failed your resistance." Now it is Horum who seems to be surprised. "Then we failed indeed..." Captain Harrison leaves Horum in the brig, and calls a senior staff meeting. It is clear that any Stiegl resistance against their government has failed. Should the USS Colorado crew help these Stiegls so their will be a resistance against the Stiegl government which can stop all Stiegl evil plans ? Or is this Horum not telling the truth and he will only use the Federation technology to execute the Stiegl evil plans ? History must have changed already, but in what way ? Players: Johan Michielsens, Conny Parmentier USS Alice Cooper "So, if the Stiegl are also involved somehow with present 'difficulties' on Angel One, I for one want to know all about it... everything they might be up to here". "Very, goed, Sir". "And, Cmdr.". "Yes, Sir?" "After you contact Starfleet Command, contact as well on my behalf the USS COLORADO -- Captain Harrison --- and see what he might think concerning possible Stiegl activity on Angel One. Anything at all! Maybe he can tell us if he see's same possible connection between the recent Stiegl incident and current events on Angel One". "Very goed, Sir. Will that be all?" "For now Cmdr., yes", Raz Kalee nodded, getting up from his Ready Room desk... "In the meantime, however, I'm on my way to the bridge. Be there in a few minutes. Meet You there with Ambassador Stevens and Ms. Corona before making official contact with Angel One... Beatta III" "Very goed, Sir. Eerag over". "Over and out", Raz likewise signed off, leaving at once for the bridge. And, riding the turbo-lift there, Raz hoped against his own better insincts there was no connection between either recent developments in Stiegl territory, or recent events here on Angel One. Then again... "Dear Lord Above", he almost moaned aloud before stepping onto an already anxious bridge... both Salgud, Jas, and Gilly Corona waiting his arrival -- the rest of his bridge personnel likewise all present and accounted for... Players: Crew of the USS Alice Cooper DS2 RPG General Status Report June 2004 USS Earth Bladerend agent Dnebo aboard the USS Earth examines the logs of the Federation vessel after the destruction of a large Stiegl ship, only manned by one person. To the surprise of Dnebo himself, The Stiegl ship had powered up weapons before the USS Earth fired a single shot. So it is clear that the USS Earth defended itself. But there is something else, much more disturbing. Agent Dnebo himself discovers that this type of ship could not be here at this time. It was a ship probably produced at least 50 years into the future. Denbo has no choice than to report his findings to his superiors. He does not spend more time aboard the USS Earth, lets the ship and crew as they are and disappears just the way that he has come. Captain Steichen orders to set course to Rock, the small base where Admiral Steichen and the USS Moon is waiting. In the mean time Captain Steichen and Admiral Steichen talk about the situation on a secured channel. "Captain. This is very important, but disturbing news. The fact that the Stiegls from the future have come here already, indicates that they know they are in trouble." To Captain Steichen's surprise, Admiral Steichen comes out with something new. "I know the Bladerend. They will intervene. You have already given them some prove that the Stiegls have used means to change time. I can only argument to the Bladerend that we have come back in time to defend ourselves. But I guess the Bladerend investigation will take some time. And they have a lot of work to do repairing the damage and preventing from happening again." A few days later when the the USS Earth rejoins with the USS Moon at Rock Admiral Steichen has a proposal to Captain Steichen. "Captain. I am going back to our own time. Although Commodore T'Lok disagreas, I have to see the result of what we do here. Especially that Steigl ship you have encountered disturbs me. I would like to ask you if you would like to come with me to the future. What do you think about a trip to the future? Oh yes I know the temporal prime directive... Starfleet has nullified that directive... Actually it will in about 17 years..." Captain Steichen decides to join her future counterpart Admiral Steichen to go to the future, about 40 years from the current stardate. Players: Christine Steichen USS Metrical Aboard Starbase 369 every system is checked. And the sollution is already found within a day. And it is about time as space is collapsing in the region. Aboard the fleet attached to Starbase 369, engineers are searching for a malfunction of any kind. And the problem seems to be very simple. In the last encounter with the Stiegl fleet some kind of low magnetic wave affected some of the ships systems, which passed this magnetic wave to all other systems and to other ships and finally the starbase itself. All of this was discovered when one of the runabouts which had been powered down a month ago for maintenance was launched from Starbase space dock. Apparently the systems of this runabout were not affected at first and long range sensors worked fine. Space was not collapsing. According the runabout sensors, space looked like it should be. But only two hours later the runabout systems had been affected by the magnetic wave. There had to be a way of stopping this wave and repair all the damage to the systems on the ships and on the starbase. "Comodore. Now that we have found the cause of the problem, we should be able to nullify it. We are already working on it." In spacedock on one of the landing padds a runabout is powered up. As the runabout is only a small ship with much less complicated systems as a starship, the first tests are executed on the small runabout. Aboard the runabout is a device that repolarizes the magnetic wave, which does all the damage. When the runabout is launched the device is tested almost immediately. And then there is the time of waiting. "Commodore, the runabout is launched sir. In command of the runabout is Commander Leo Gross. He is our most experienced pilot sir." "Open a channel to the runabout." "Channel open sir." "Commander Gross. Report." "Good morning Commodore. We have been launched successfully. All systems are operational for four hours now. It seems our little device here is working. I have already transfered all data to all starships. The entire fleet should be up and running again in a matter of hours. I also took the liberty of getting Starbase 369 engineers to work and get these kind of devices installed on every deck, in every section of the starbase. Until we find a better sollution this one will have to do. There is an engineering team already working on the source of the magnetic wave. As soon as we have located the primary source, we can eliminate it and then everything should be as it was." "Excellent work Commander. I am looking forward to your next report." "Thank you sir. All the credit should go to the engineers sir. They have build the device." "I agree Commander. I am curious. Is Starbase 54 still where it should be ?" "Yes sir it is. I have already informed Starbase 54 about our situation. But there is no reply yet. I am sure the reply will come in within a few days sir." A few hours later all starships and Starbase 369 are fully operational. Space is no longer collapsing around the fleet and the ships get back to their original positions. Morale is high, but the anger is also growing. It is now clear these Stiegls will use any means to destory all other life in the Galaxy. As the news of this kind of Stiegl weapon travels around Starfleet it is becoming clear that nobody else in the Federation has been affected. There is of course the possibility that this was an experimental weapon. "Commodore there is a message from Captain Verdun on the Napoli." "Let's hear it." "The USS Napoli has found the source of the magnetic wave. The ship is on its way to investigate further. Captain Verdun asks for assistance from at least two other ships." "Send the USS Cruiser and USS Sunrise and tell them to destroy that source." "Aye sir. Messages have been sent." USS Napoli, USS Cruiser escorted by the USS Sunrise, proceed to what apears a large Stiegl ship. Captain verdun doesn't need further orders. He knows what do do. "Attack pattern Alpha." The three Starfleet vessels form a attack formation and before the Stiegls aboard their vessel know what is happening, three Federation starships drop out of warp almost on top of them to fire their weapons, destroying the Stiegl ship almost immediately. When Captain Verdun reports in again the USS Napoli sensors detect seven other Stiegl ships on their way to Starbase 369. Apparently the Stiegls have no idea that the fleet and Starbase 369 itself does not have problems any more with the magnetic waves... In the mean time there is still no word from Starbase 54. Commodore Van Nieuwenhove doesn't seem to want to wait. He orders some of his shps to follow those Stiegls with a few ships. These Stiegls could eventually lead you to their base. Players: Geert Van Nieuwenhove USS Thunderbolt The USS Thunderbolt is on its way to PP-77. PP-77 is suspected to be the center of Stiegl leadership. The small planet PP-77 is heavily defended by Stiegl orbital defense platforms, but due to the cooperation between the USS Thunderbolt crew and three Borg drones from the future, the crew is confident they can eliminate the Stiegl defences. Invisable for the Stiegls the USS Thunderbolt approaches PP-77. Before the Stiegl soldiers can act most of the orbital defense platforms are already destroyed. There are two platforms left that can fire a few shots, but as the USS thundrbolt is already addapted, the Stiegls don't do any damage, and when the last Stiegl orbital platform is destroyed The USS Thunderbolt concentrates on the planet itself. "Fire." Deep under the surface of PP-77 the Stiegl leadership with the Supreme One are still sitting around their table, when PP-77 shakes heavily. A weapon of mass destruction has hit PP-77 and is now destroying the entire planet. But the Stiegl Supreme One still has a trick in his hat. He pushes a button on the small console. A few meters away from him a rift opens and before anyone can intervene the Stiegl Supreme One jumps into the rift. Some of the other Stiegl leaders understand that they have to try to escape and jump through the rift as well. But some of the Stiegl leaders do not seem to understand they are under attack and just before the rift closes the entire planet PP-77 is destroyed, exploding into an uncountable number of pieces of rock and sand. Aboard the USS Thunderbolt the entire crew realises they have given the Stiegls a serious blow, which will change the events in the Galaxy. But then the Borg drone called 1 of 3 reports it is not yet over. "Captain Mechels. Just before the planet PP-77 was destroyed, a displacement rift was opened. Our sensors have detected several Stiegl persons who went through the displacement rift. It is an older technique the Borg also used. The displacement rift leads to the Galaxy known to the Borg as G-753. That must be the home Galaxy of the Stiegls." Captain Mechels doesn't hesitate a moment. "Get us to the home galaxy of the Stiegls and destroy them. Period." Players: Helena Straetman,Caroline Keuleers,Willem Keuleers, Lieselotte Keuleers, Wouter Keuleers USS Walang Encountering a strange phenomena of creatures, all attempts to communicate with these creatures fail. To be on the safe side Captain Hendriks decides to go around the phenomena, although it will take more time. Captain Hendriks also asks Lieutenant Commander Bradley, in command of USS Athena what he is planning to do. "Captain. We have finished our repairs with the help of your engineers. I want to thank you for that. As you know my orders are to test this experimental ship, so we cannot stay with you, and have to return to Federation space as soon as we can. I think the USS Athena is now ready to return. Once again I want to thank you for your help, I cannot start to imagine what would have happened if you hadn't been in this region of space. We should be on our way now." "Excellent Commander. Good luck." "Thank you Captain. USS Athena out." A few minutes later the USS Athena takes a turn and sets course towards the Federation. It jumps forward as the ship engages the Quantum Slipstream Drive and after only a few moments the sensors of the USS Walang can no longer detect the USS Athena. "Captain, I think that the USS Athena has successfully used their new propulsion system." "If this is all successful, we will be in a new way of space travel Lieutenant." And of course Captain Hendriks is right. Propulsion systems are the key for space travel. And at this time the USS Walang is traveling to the new Trum home planet. The journey of the USS Walang continues without any problems. There is regular contact with Kirie Station in Kirie territory and the scientists on the Kirie Station make a lot of progress communicating and resolving the puzzles about the Kiries. But the tension rises aboard the USS Walang. Everyone starts to realise the new homeworld of the very advanced Trum, or Gsnodes, as they call themselves, is in their reach. And when Chief of Operations LT CMDR John Strauss reports: "Captain. Sensors detect a livable planet. According the Federation Database the planet is designated as ZK-69. There is no intelligent life on that planet but there are traces of a lost civilisation. If we want to gather more information, we need to go closer Captain." Because planet ZK-69 is almost directly on route of the USS Walang, Captain Hendriks orders to set course to the planet. But upon arrival the USS Walang crew and especially the Trax aboard the ship are in for a big surprise. As LT CMDR John Strauss presents his new report: "Captain. This planet was inhabited, but many years ago. The structures look a lot like the structures we have found on the Trum planet. Either the Trum stopped here and stayed, but then they have become extinct, or they moved on later. There are not many structures, some kind of temples maybe, or some kind of outpost. It doesn't look like the Trum have started a new civilization here. There are not many structures and they are rather small. If we want to find out more, we will have to go down to the planet and see for ourselves." "Commander Bellafonte, assemble an away team and examine the ruins on ZK-69. Maybe we find more clues to where the Trum went. We are near anyway." Only two Stiegls are encountered and stunned. Both of them are locked up and guarded. There are no other personnel aboard. Day 135 16.35 Lieutenant Commander Matz and the other officers have figured out the controls of the Stiegl ship and contact Commodore Slater. The Commodore aboard the USS Vertigo is very happy to hear the situation on the Stiegl ship has been solved. He orders a full investigation team under command of Lieutenant Commander Matz to get as much information about the Stiegls as possible. The other officers held as hostages are send back to Vertigo to rest. Day 136 17.29 Lieutenant Commander Matz is now in command of the Stiegl vessel. All kinds of data has been retrieved including several locations of important Stiegl bases. But there is more. There is a lot of data about the home Galaxy of the Stiegls. Files indicate that only one Stiegl scout ship has come to this Galaxy to explore new horizons for new territories to conquer. This happened about 6 thousand years ago. Just at that moment a Cardassian experimental ship traveled through time to the past and ended up about 6 thousand years ago in the neighbourhood of the Stiegl scoutship. The Cardassian experiment failed, but the Stiegls improved the technology and used it to their own advantage. Players: Nadine Peeters, Caroline van Rhee, Thomas van Rhee USS Iceberg With the upcoming last reserve ships of the Stiegls on course to Lamara, the USS Iceberg crew prepares for the upcoming battle. In the mean time the last Stiegl resistans on Lamara is eliminated by the Starfleet marines and security forces. The upcoming battle with the Stiegl fleet will determine whether Lamara will fall back in Stiegl hands or whether it will be free. Players: Jan Theys USS Colorado Unknown to the USS Colorado crew is what effect their actions have on the future. It is time to find out more and make more plans to be sure the Stiegls are stopped. "Captain I believe it is customary to have a full medical checkup for our three guests." Commander Walker doesn't simply want their prisoners to sit there in the Brig. The USS Colorado needs more information from them. "What kind of treatment ?" "I believe it is called a Vulcan mindmeld. And I believe Doc Wayne will have no objections." But Captain harrison is not easily convinced. "What about Horom's story about the planet." "I could take a small landing party, and run some scans." As the secondairy plan is discused, Lieutenant Jones interupts the conversation. "Cargo bay One, to Captain." "Captain here." "Lieutenant Jones here Captain, we have the Stiegl ship." "Lieutenant, don't enter the ship before a security unit has arived with one of the Stiegls." "Understood." Both Captain Harrison and Commander Walker understand that every resource available should be used to get as much information about the Stiegls as possible. Lieutenant Sonak is the first who has to jump to the action. "Mr Sonak prepare a team and bring one of the Stiegls to cargo bay one, do what you can to retrieve data from their ship. Their might be something that can tells a bit more about our guests." Lieutenant Doran is next. "Lieutenant Doran, see what you can find out about the people on the planet. And what we might need." And it is Commander Walker himself who volonteers to go the planet Fortune. "Captain, I like to leave in one hour." "All right Number One. First have a look at that Stiegl ship." When Commander Walker and Captain Harrison arrive in Cargo Bay 1, Lieutenant Jones and her scientists are already gathered around the vehicle which looks innocent. But Lieutenant Jones has waited to open the small vessel as the Captain had ordered. A security team is standing by. "OK Lieutenant. Report." "Captain. This is a Stiegl ship which could be dated as very old to our standards, but don't let this fool you. Stiegl technology in this time period is far more superior as the human abilities. We traveled 475 years into the past. Earth's date is currently 1904, the beginning of industry... Earth is an easy target. If the Stiegls realise that, we will end up in the same situation as when the Borg traveled through time to stop first contact in 2063. In 1904, Earth is an easy target. We must hurry and find out what the Stiegl plans are, and we have to keep in mind the Stiegls probably can also travel in time. If Stiegls in this time understand Earth will be the center of the Federation some day, they probably will attack and it will be very difficult to stop them." Unknown to the USS Colorado crew, the Stiegls don't have time for Earth in 1904. They have lost seriously against Species 8472 and the Borg. The war is turning against the Stiegls already... "OK Lieutenant. If you think it is safe to open this ship and to download files, do it." "Aye sir." Lieutenant Ally Jones pushes a few buttons on her tricorder. A small hatch opens. A few minutes later Starfleet engineers are downloading files from the Stiegl ship. But the files do not reveal anything yet. The first hour tension aboard the USS Colorado is rising. Until the moment one of the engineers have found two files in which Vulcan is mentioned. There is no indication that Vulcan will be attacked, but knowing that the Vulcans are already very sophisticated and have had warp drive for a long time in 1904, Lieutenant Sonak, a Vulcan himself suggests to go to Vulcan and warn his people... Commander Walker addresses Captain Harrison "Captain, we should continue as planned. Do the mindmeld, go the planet surface and see if what Horum is telling us the thruth." "Do you have a reason not to believe his story." "I believe what my eyes tell me. I never trusted a Stiegl and I don't plan to start know. There most be something to help us, in that Stiegl ship." In the mean time on the USS Colorado bridge... "Red alert-Red alert." Captain harrison instinctively asks for an explanation. "Bridge, what's this red alert." "We just scanned another ship in this sector." "Can you indentify?" "Yes, it's Federation." "I'm on my way, number one you're with me." Players: Johan Michielsens, Conny Parmentier USS Alice Cooper USS Alice Cooper-B Chief of Operations, Commander Alice V.F. Cooper the 7th, has his eyes on the console before her. She has some very strange readings. "Captain. I think you should have a look at this. As soon as we entered orbit of Angel One our sensors automaticly searched for holographic technology since we had those troubles with the Stiegls. There is no answer to our hails." Captain Raz Kalee is not yet worried. "Put the data on the main viewer." A moment later all kinds of sensor data appears on the main viewer. There is nobody on the bridge who needs more explanation. Angel One is full of all kinds of holographic technology. It is Gilly Corona herself who jumps forward to the Operations Chief station. "This can't be. She really done it. She has been manipulated by those men. I knew it. That..." It is all she can say. All she wants to say. Gilly Corona realises that she has already said to much. All Starfleet personnel on the bridge are silent and staring at her, some of them apparently confused. Captain Kalee turns to the Angel One rebel. "Is there something you want to say Miss Corona ?" Players: Crew of the USS Alice Cooper DS2 RPG General Status Report July 2004 USS Earth USS Moon, Commanding Officer Admiral Christine Steichen... 40 Years later... "Admiral, we have returned to our own time. We are scanning the area, the sector..." "Any changes detected yet ?" "No points of reference yet Admiral." "Keep scanning." The USS Moon sensor arrays work overtime, but in the first hour there is nothing detected that can indicate a change of the actions of the USS Moon crew in the past, but the good news is that there is no Stiegl activity either. Admiral Steichen is rather cautious, reminding herself that the Stiegls had most of the galaxy in their brutal hands. She orders to scan sector by sector. A full day later six uninhabited planets have been discoverd, planets which should be inhabited by Stiegls. The search continues. On the third day long range sensors detect a vessel. It is a Borg ship. "Red for red. Battlestations. So the Borg are now big boss in our Galaxy or at least part of it. What kind of Borg ship is it Commander ?" "I cannot say Admiral. The design is not in our database. I am running a crossover query now... I have some similarities Admiral, but I am not sure." "What do you mean you are not sure ?" "Never mind that Admiral. We are being hailed by that Borg ship. We Will soon know." Admiral Steichen sights deeply. "Well I guess this is going to sound very familiar. You will be assimilated, bla bla bla... put them on Screen." But to everyone's surprise a human face appears on the main viewer. It is a familiar face. "Hi there Admiral Steichen Good to see you again. So your little trip to the past has done some serious termination of the Stiegl species... I know we had something to do with that as well. Oh yes of course. In case you do not remember me, I am Guillaume Mechels, Captain of this ship, the USS Thunderbolt. Yes yes, how can I know about you traveling to the past ? Come on Admiral, stop thinking so three dimensional. We have Borg on this ship from the future, a very far away future. Anyway. I will tell you what the situation is in this Galaxy at this time. First there are no Stiegls. The Stiegls are completely erased from exsistance. The Borg have a large part of the Delta Quadrant under control. The Romulan Empire has expanded and the Klingons have occupied the most part of the Alpha Quadrant. There is no United Federation of Planets, and if you don't take the Vulcans in consideration, there would not even be anything that refers to your precious Federation at all. So I don't know exactly what you have done in the past, but maybe this wasn't a very good idea after all. Of course you are free to do as you please. You must have about 10 thousand people aboard your ship. You could settle down somewhere and start the Federation all over again. Well it was good to see you again. Good-bye. Is there anything I can help you with ?" Players: Christine Steichen USS Metrical The USS Napoli, USS Cruiser escorted by the USS Sunrise are in pursuit of Seven Stiegl ships on course to Starbase 369. The other ships of Commodore Van Nieuwenhove's fleet, USS Mexico, USS Starmaker and USS Energy are taking positions to intercept the 7 Stiegl ships halfway Starbase 369. the Stiegl fleet cannot escape. The Stiegls still have not found a defense against the polaron weapon that can destroy their ships with one shot, so the Stiegls are defenseless in case of a battle. Apparently these Stiegls do not know all this because they still proceed at high speed to Starbase 369. Aboard the USS Energy Captain Robbert Stow is looking over the shoulder of his tactical officer. He points with a finger to certain readings. The tactical chief nods. "That is right Captain. I have been monitoring that signal for the past ten minutes when it first showed up. It is a carrier wave the Stiegls use to communicate. Starfleet has already broken a part of the Stiegl code, so some things are understandable, but some things are not." Captain Stow has already been informed that the Stiegl communications are only part readable and nobody should take notice of that for the moment. These messages could be interpreted totally wrong. Then a message to the Stiegls is sent that they should stop their fleet and surrender their ships, but the Stiegls ignore the Starfleet threat. "Captain Stow sir, we are in firing range in 24 minutes." "We are ready for them." On Starbase 369 Commodore Van Nieuwenhove himself is watching every move of his fleet and the Stiegls. His senior Tactical Officer has some doubts. "Commodore. These Stiegls seem to be very confident and show no sign that they are afraid of anything. Our fleet is at the point of blowing them away and they continue as if they weren't even there. I don't understand." Back on the USS Energy the same thought has come up. What do the Stiegls want to try to accomplish ? Why do they not answer to any message ? "Maybe they just follow orders down to the last word. If their leaders order them to destroy Starbase 369 or die trying, they will just do that and nothing else." Captain Stow looks at the main viewer. The Stiegl ships are now very close. "Three minutes untile they are in firing range sir. We got them now sir. They are not going anywhere. Wait a minute. Sensors detect power fluctuations on the Stiegl ships. On all of them. I think they are powering up weapons or something... no it is some kind of self destruct mechanisme. Sir I can see escape pods launcing, no it is only one escape pod..." Only five seconds later the seven Stiegl ships come to a full stop and explode. the shockwave after the explosion is to weak to do any damage to the federation ships. there is no damage on any of them. Still all ships check their systems. It would not be the first time the Stiegls would surprise them with some kind of secret weapon. "Sir, I detect one lifesign in the escape pod sir. It is Stiegl sir." Only a few minutes later the Stiegl is transported into the brig of the USS Energy and brought to Starbase 369. All that he had with him is taken away from him, put into the escape pod and the escape pod is destroyed. "My name is Kozam. I am a Stiegl resistance fighter. I have destroyed the 526th squadron of that dictator who calls himself the leader of all Stiegls. I hate him. You must give me a ship, and let me go to sector 46598, where I must destroy a Stiegl base of the 62nd Artillary Company. That unit blocks the way of your merchant ships. So we have a common goal. You must help me to help both of us." But Commodore Van Nieuwenhove wants to be sure and gives his orders. "Put this Kozam on one of our Defiant class ships, go in stealth mode to the place this Kozam points out to be a Stiegl stronghold, investigate without being seen and then if this is all true, I will send the fleet there and destroy the Stiegl base and/or take prisoners. But if it is not true what Kozam says, we know it for sure and then we will send Kozam to Starfleet intelligence... and then... he will speak the truth." "Open transwarp conduit." "Conduit open Captain." "Engage." With transwarp speed the USS Thunderbolt races to the G-753 Galaxy. It is not the first time that a Federation ship leaves Earth's Galaxy. As the Federation Council did not expect that the federation would survive the attacks of the highly sophisticated Stiegls, the Council already sent 3 ships out of the Galaxy... But these ships were destroyed by a Stiegl fleet. Although the USS Thunderbolt crew have turned their back on the Federation it seems that this particular ship plays a very important role in defending the Federation. Only a week later the USS Thunderbolt approaches the border of the G-753 Galaxy and encounters the first star. It is necessary to make a stop at the star and recharge the power systems. In the mean time the first sectors of G-753 are scanned. "No Stiegl activity sir." "Keep scanning." And then without warning a man in a black cape has appeared on the bridge. He wasn't transported, the intruder alert does not sound, but Chief of Security Lieutenant Tomar already has a weapon in his hand pointing at the intruder. But the intruder doesn't seem to be impressed. in a fraction of a second there is a shining cilinder shaped rod in his hand. The man activates the rod and an energy beam comes out. The energy beam stays connected to the rod itself, like some kind of energy sword. Then the man begins to speak with a voice that seems to have influence on the crew's thoughts. "I am Lord Lamu. I am a Knight of the 7th Order. We resist the Government of our Stiegl Galaxy. You are strangers here. You will go away if your intetensions are to support the Stiegl Government. What is your answer?" While the man in the black cape was talking, Borg drone 2 of 3, present on the bridge has scanned the weapon and has addapted to it. 2 of 3 approaches Lord Lamu and grabs him by the arm, but not before Lord Lamu has hit the Borg drone a few times with the energy sword. But the sword has no effect and its energy is absorbed by the Borg drone's personal shielding. When he is caught Lord Lamu has to drop his sword that is deactivated. Captain Mechels picks up the sword. "Interesting weapon. What do you call it ?" "I will answer no questions." Captain mechels is not impressed. "Very well. 2 of 3, please lock this man up in the brig and stay with him." Lord Lamu is brought to the USS Thunderbolt brig. The third Borg drone, 3 of 3 comes on the bridge to replace his fellow Borg drone. Captain mechels will decide later what will happen to this Lord Lamu. Only a few hours later the USS Thunderbolt leaves the star and sets course further into Stiegl territory. It doesn't take long before the first Stiegl defense forces show up. "Red alert ! Battlestations !" A small Stiegl battle fleet approaches and opens fire without asking questions. But the USS Thunderbolt returns fire and a few minutes later the Stiegl ships are destroyed. In the mean time in the brig Lord Lamu tries to convince 2 of 3 to let him go. "You don't need to hold me here. You will let me go." While he speaks Lord lamu waves with his hand... 2 of 3 is not impressed. "You tried to access my brain with some kind of force wave. That will not work. You cannot order me. I am Borg." Lord Lamu sighted. He doesn't seem to understand and he speaks more to himself than to the Borg drone who guards him. "I don't understand. My force is greater than ever before. Why do I not have any influence on him ?" The Borg drone himself thinks Lord Lamu is talking to him. "I am Borg." Then the conversation in the brig stops... Meanwhile on the bridge. "Captain there is another fleet heading this way. 23 ships in total." "Weapons ready." "Captain, there is also another fleet on our six. 49 Stiegl ships sir. Wait a minute. The second fleet behind us is locking weapons on the Stiegl ships in front of us. That sis strange. Sir we are being hailed." "On screen." A Stiegl appears on the main viewer. "You in that small ship. I am General Korthu of the Stiegl Resistance. You are in the middle of a Stiegl civil war. We resist the Stiegl Government. We are the rebbels. We will not fire on you if you do not attack us. But we cannot guarantee your safety. You must leave this area." While General Korthu speaks the first Stiegl ships engage each other... All of the Trax form a defense perimiter. As their ability to stay invisible now comes at hand they use it. Only after an hour Commander Belafonte contacts the USS Walang for his first report. "Captain. These ruins and old structures are dated about the same age as the ruins we found on the old Trum planet. The Trum, or Gnodes as they call themselves have been here, but my first guess is that this is some kind of outpost. I'll report back within the next hour. While the invisible Trax are floating between the structures the USS Walang away team makes its way towards a larger structure, which seems to be less ramshackled then the others. But the gate at the entrance is open. As Commander Belafonte reports this findings he steps in to the building, which is rather well preserved. The walls at the inside are even shining as someone has been here in the recent past. It is one of the Trax who suddenly becomes visible in one of the bigger chambers in the building. He has discovered something extremely interesting. "Human Commander. I have found here this thing. There is something living in this thing. I do not know how Humans call it. please come." Commander Belafonte runs to where the Trax is floating above the ground, followed by the scientists and other Trax of who some become visible as well, including Countor. There is some kind of box on the floor, decorated with all kinds of shining figures. Commander Belafonte addresses the Trax who found the box. But he also looks at the readings of his tricorder. "We call this a sargophagus. Humans also had these sarcophagi in their history to honor important Humans when they passed away. But this is strange indeed. There is a life sign in this sarcophagus. Something in this sarcophagus is alive." The two scientists start examining the outside of the sarcophagus while they confirm there is a life sign in the sarcophagus. Commander Belafonte contacts the USS Walang immediately. "Captain, we have found a sargophagus here in the structure. there is a life sign in to sarcophagus. It could be just a rat or so, but then again it could be something very much more intreging. Our scientists here, have already found a way to open it. I don't know what to make of it. What should we do ?" "Let the sarcophagus be for the time being and investigate further. You can go back to it afterwards. We will know more by then. Maybe there are more sargophagi or more clues." Players: Marianne Loogen USS Vertigo Day 136 18.00 Of the 48 Starfleet officers aboard the captured Stiegl vessel none of them is planning to return immediately. They all want to examine the ship first. Commodore Slater gives the group the permission to do so. Lieutenant Commander Matz is dominated by her Klingon side and with the agreement of the other officers the Stiegl ship is renamed: USS Strike. Day 137 04.00 Commodore Slater is woke up by his first officer. Apparently Commander Matz and her officers have discovered that the Stiegl pilots of the ship were not well trained and the Stiegl ship was able to do much more. Some of the officers propose to use this ship to go to the home galaxy of the Steigls and destroy the enemy once and for all. Lieutenant Commander Matz feels the warrior side in her and decides to assign her new crew to positions. She assigns Lieutenant Ory Gion as her First Officer. After a heavy discussion between Matz and Slater, Commodore Slater has no choice then to order Lieutenant Commander Matz to surrender "her" ship. She will face a court martial if she doesn't. Day 137 04.17 Through her new first officer Lieutenant Gion, Commander Matz learns that her brand new crew is supporting her. This is their big chance to take care of the Stiegl enemy... now... Matz herself has a good idea what the Stiegl ship USS Strike can do. There is nobody in the Federation who can stop her. First mission will be eliminate all Stiegl activity in the Federation, not to difficult as the database of all Stiegl ships and facilities is in the ship's database. And on top of that all Stiegl communications can be monitored. Matz gives all the data needed to Commodore Slater. Then the USS Strike engages its engines. Transwarp to the first target. No Federation ship can follow the USS Strike. Commodore Slater decides that if he cannot command Matz any more, he better use the information he has received and participates in the elimination of the Stiegl threat, at least in Federation space... Players: Nadine Peeters, Caroline van Rhee, Thomas van Rhee USS Iceberg While the troops on the grounds of the planet Lamara have eliminated all Stiegl resistance above their heads in space a battle has begun between the USS Iceberg and a small Stiegl fleet. On the surface Major Roger Jumpy is in command of the troops. Whatever he does, he cannot regain contact with the USS Iceberg. Although Major Jumpy is worried, there is nothing he can do but wait until he hears from Colonel Crow or anyonbe else aboard the USS Iceberg... Players: Jan Theys USS Colorado Commander Walker and Captain harrison enter the bridge, followed by LT Sonak. On the main viewer there is indeed a Federation starship as LT Doran reports. "Captain. It is a the USS Methode, Miranda class. It is not yet very old. From our perspective the USS Methode was commissioned 35 years ago. The USS Methode has traveled into the past just as we did. The USS Methode is now in communication range sir." Captain Harrison pulled his right ear. Another ship from the future. What could that mean ? "Open a channel and on screen." On the main viewer an older man looks into the bridge of the USS Colorado. He does not have a uniform. He talks slowly, but firm. "Captain of the starship USS Colorado. You are the first humans we see in space for three months since we have arrived here in the past. Apparently Starfleet hunts us into the past as well. I am honored." Everyone on the USS Colorado bridge is amazed. And they all turn to Captain Harrison to see what he is going to say. "You do not wear a Starfleet uniform. Who are you ?" The older man aboard the USS Methode smiles. "We are Maquis. Actually, we are the last of the Maquis. Almost all of our friends have been killed by the Dominion-Cardassian alliance during the war. We found an empty cardassian ship with a device aboard which gave us the possibility to travel in time, but apparently the device shut itself down and we cannot go back or travel to another time period. At first we thought about changing everything here in this time in favor of the Maquis, but we have not done anything yet. I guess most of us have... realised we would be as bad as the Cardassians if we would use their methodes. We are looking for an uninhabited planet for us to live and start all over. Yes yes, we have stolen this ship, and we know we don't stand a chance against a Galaxy class vessel like yours, but we ask you to leave us alone and let us be on our way. We will not change history. We only want to settle down on an uninhabited planet and live free..." "I will talk to my officers about this. I wil give you my answer in two minutes." The channel is closed and Captain Harrison looks around to his officers. The last thing they needed was a group of rebellious Maquis in a time where the Stiegls are going to take everything away. LT Doran speaks first. "Captain. We are close to a breakthrough with these Stiegls. We must take the chance to find out as much as possible about them. Therefore, may I suggest that we continue the Stiegl investigation. We can catch these Maquis later if it is necessary..." Commander Walker can only confirm. "Lt. Doran is correct, Captain, we should continue with our investigation and let the Maquis be on there." But Lt. Sonak has some concerns. "If I may say so, the Maquis can be threat in this sector." But Captain Harrison has made up his mind. "Thank you people, but the Maquis are a problem. A problem we can not deal with at this time, there for it is my dessison and my responsibilty to let go." But First Officer Commander Walker has a last request. "Lets ask them what they know about the Stiegls, first! Mr Sonak see if you can scan their ship, I like to know just how many people are onboard." But it is Lt. Ally Jones who interupts. "Lt. Jones to the bridge." "The Captain here we are a little buzy Lt. what is it?" "Captain we found some logs entries, we are checking them over. So far we do believe that these Stielgs we encountered are actually the many group of the Stiegls resistance group." Players: Johan Michielsens, Conny Parmentier USS Alice Cooper Gilly Corona slowly turns around to face the Captain. "Some time ago, I cannot say exactly when, some males from another species visited our beloved Beatta III. I don't know what they talked about it, but as soon as these men left, Beatta III made a serious announcement that everything would change. We would receive a new way of living, with all comfort and no stressing work. I was the first one to doubt her word and started an opposition, soon to be exiled from the planet in extremely fragile freighters, with my group of followers. To make this story a little bit short, I wanted to capture this ship, to go back and force Beatta III to listen to me... I mean us. Just when I had Ambassador Stevens convince me that males and females could live together... It is clear to me now that these men have taken over our planet, our home... I don't know what they have promised Beatta III, but she will probably the only one who is getting a nice deal. We have to convince our people that she is not the one who should lead us. Captain, you have to do something." But before Captain Kalee can answer some of his officers have different opinions. Chief of Security Lieutenant Commander Gav Tiral is the first to speak. "Captain I recommend to take distance from Angel One and break orbit. Some Starfleet vessels have been attacked by Stiegl weapons hidden by holographic planets. Although reports say that all Stiegl technology is destroyed and all Stiegls are in captivity, it is possible Angel One's holographic environment hides the same kind of weapons. They are probably charging them now as we speak. We did not get any respons to our hails. I suggest we leave and wait for reinforcements. We haven't heard from the USS Colorado yet, but the USS Windblower and the USS Crusader are 14 days away. We can just sit here and wait at a safe distance. Angel One is not going anywhere." But one of the junior officers is brave enough to speak and contradict Commander Tiral. "Captain, why don't we go to the surface and have a look ourselves ?" Players: Crew of the USS Alice Cooper DS2 RPG General Status Report August 2004 USS Earth Fourty years into the future there is a confrontation between the USS Moon, under command of Admiral Steichen and the USS Thunderbolt, under command of Captain Mechels. Captain Mechels explains to Admiral Steichen there is no United Federation of Planets and claims the Admiral has done something wrong in the past... But Captain Steichen who has traveled with her older self into the future, knows this Captain mechels too and addresses the Admiral. "Don't believe a word this Guillaume Mechels of the USS Thunderbolt has to say. He is a traitor to the Federation and if he was or will ever be caught, he will have to be put in jail for the rest of his life. Explore more of this region in this time frame. We need more data." Admiral Steichen seemed to have the same idea already. "You just took the words right out of my mouth. And you Mister Mechels maybe you should move out of our way and let us pass." The Admiral said mister Mechels and not Captain Mechels. And although the USS Thunderbolt has survived all Stiegl threats, she would not give him any credit for it. While the main viewer shows space again the USS Thunderbolt opens a transwarp conduit and disappears a few seconds later. "We will see them again, no doubt. Helm set a course to Earth, Engage slipstream drive." "Aye Captain. Course set to Earth, engaging slipstream drive. ETA 4 hours 17 minutes." "Thank you." And so the USS Moon is on its way to Earth. In the few hours they have the USS Moon crew prepares itself for the worst. If Captain Mechels has spoken the truth, and Earth has indeed no meaning in the Alpha Quadrant, then indeed something has gone wrong... "Admiral we will arrive at Earth in 1 minute." "Very well, prepare to normal warp speed. Attention all hands, this is the Admiral. We will arrive at Earth in less then a minute, prepare for regular warp speed. Yellow alert." "10 seconds, 9, 8..." A few seconds later the USS Moon comes out of the slipstream velocity and jumps to warp 9, slowing down to lower warp and finally to impulse speed. The USS Moon is welcomed by three smaller ships, clearly Federation in design. These ships can travel warp 3 maximum and have only limited offensive and defensive systems. "Attention... USS Moon ? ... I am Captain Fiona slater in command of the USS Defender. Your ship looks like a Federation ship, but your ship does not match anything we have in our database. Identify yourself." Admiral Steichen identifies herself and her ship saying the USS Moon had some kind of accident, what caused the ship to end up here. After asking Captain Slater about the Federation, it becomes clear the Federation is only 16 planets, with species not more advanced than the Humans, except for the Vulcans... The Striegl threat was eliminated about 30 years ago, but that war did some serious damage to the Federation and the neighbours, like the Klingon Empire and Ferengi Empire... But hope is high in the Federation and Captain Slater seems to be very proud to be able to serve in Starfleet... Admiral Steichen makes a strange remark. "We seem to have traveled 400 years back instead of 40 into the future...." And Captain Steichen also has her own idea... "We should do whatever is necessary to find out what caused the current state of the Federation. We should not stop until we find this cause..." Players: Christine Steichen Starbase 369 While everything turns to normal on Starbase 369, one ship of Commodore Van Nieuwenhove's fleet is on its way on a rather dangerous mission. With a Stiegl, called Kozam abaord the Defiant class USS Energy under command of Captain Robbert Stow, the Federation ship travels to sector 46598. Kozam is locked up in the brig just to be sure he doesn't plan to do anything evil. Kozam claimed that he had to destroy the 62nd Artillary Company which should be located on the fourth planet of the only system in that entire sector. Starfleet has already designated this planet as SQ-65. But Starfleet long range sensor sweeps have not discovered anything on SQ-65. Not to take any chances Captain Stow orders to approach SQ-65 in stealth mode, low warp, with most non-essential systems off line. "Lieutenant, report." "Captain, there is still nothing on long range sensors. No Stiegl activity, and no other technological advanced activity. If the Stiegls are hiding around SQ-65, they are doing a really good job." "Stay on red alert and stay at battlestations. I am not taking any chances. In the mean time I wil lhave a little talk with our friend Kozam." Captain Stow rises to his feet and walks to the lower deck where he meets Kozam heavily guarded. "So mister Kozam. Apparently there is nothing there at SQ-65. As a matter of fact, the entire sector 46598 seems to be deserted. What do you have to say about that?" "That cannot be. Our data must be correct. It came from the Stiegl High Command itself. Many of our spies have died to get that information to us. I don't understand." "Maybe you were tricked." "The Stiegl High Command is not that smart. The only thing they know is torture, sadisme, killing people who stand in their way,..." "Yeah yeah. I get the picture, but you have to understand mister Kozam, that from our point of view your information is not correct. We, of the Federation, are people who don't let anything come to a chance. We do not gamble on lives of our citizens. Do you understand that?" "I understand. I would do the same if I were in your place. But please Captain, you must go to this planet you call SQ-65. There must be at least traces from the Stiegls who have been there." The conversation is suddenly interupted. "Captain to the bridge." The USS Energy is not that big and Captain Stow arrives on the bridge in a matter of seconds. "What is it Lieutenant?" "Sir, we detect high nutrino emmisions. There is a wormhole close to SQ-65. It is an open wormhole sir." Captain Stow doesn't need more information to come to a conclusion. "So that is how these Stiegls move to our territory. Lieutenant send a probe through the wormhole. Let's see what is on the other side." A probe is send. The telemetry shows a long wormhole, much longer than the Bajoran wormhole, but it seems very stable. The wormhole seems to be a natural phenomena, but it is strange nobody ever discovered it before. As the data from the probe come in, the probe leaves the wormhole. at first there is not much to see, but stars but as the probe travels further into the unknown region of space Stiegl ships are detected. "Captain, there are to many Stiegl ships to count. I think we are looking at a huge invasion fleet sir." "Take the probe closer Lieutenant and send our findings to starbase 369, to Commodore Van Nieuwenhove himself." "Aye sir. The Commodore has received our message. Sir, some of the Stiegl ships approach our probe sir. They are firing. Sir, we lost telemetry from the probe sir." "We have to prepare for the worst case scenario. If such a large fleet of enemy Stiegl ships comes through that wormhole, we will face a much larger war than with the Dominion. And this time we could end up losing. Contact Commodore Van Nieuwenhove and ask for orders." Captain Robbert Stow receives his new orders. Apparently Commodore Van Nieuwenhove does not want to risk a confrontation with a huge STiegl fleet. Better stop them now then give them a chance to invade the Federation in huge force. "Destroy the wormhole with a massive quantum torpedo explosion. The wormhole will be destroyed, and our only entry to what looks like the Stiegl home Galaxy will also be destroyed. I know the Stiegl home Galaxy is to far to get to in a short time. This wormhole could be the only chance for the Federation to launch a huge offensive against the Stiegls... a preemptive strike. I know..." Players: Geert Van Nieuwenhove USS Thunderbolt The USS Thunderbolt finds itself in a Stiegl civil war in the Stiegl home Galaxy. While Captain mechels is planning what to do next, a fleet of Stiegl regular forces are attacked by Stiegl rebellion forces. The fighting continues and it seems the rebbels under command of General Korthu are winnig. The regular Stiegl forces are retreating with the rebbels in pursuit. It is not certain what the final result will be of this Stiegl civil war or what exactly is going on. Captain Mechels only sees one possibility. "Captain Mechels to 2 of 3. Assimilate Lord Lamu. we need to know what is going on here. Assimilation is the only way he will speak the truth and assist us so we know what to do next." "Affirmative. I am starting the assimilation procedure.." In the USS Thunderbolt the forcefield of the cell, holding Lord Lamu, is not opened, but 2 of 3 just steps through the forcefield. Lord Lamu tries every thing and all force to get the Borg drone away from him. The drone flies through the air and bounces against the cell wall several times, just as Lord Lamu waves with his hands, but the drone does not give up easily. He addapts quickly and regulates his gravety generator. the gravety generator addapts to the force waves of Lord Lamu fast... ver fast. a moment later 2 of 3 assimilation tubes penetrate the body of the surprised Lord Lamu, saying his alst words as a free man... "How can this happen. My will is overtaken. How..." Lord Lamu does not move. "What is my designation." Inside Lord Lamu is fighting the Borg nanoprobes, but there are simply to many... "Your designation is Lord Lamu. You will link to us, the Borg. We need information." In the mean time on the Bridge of USS Thunderbolt the senior officers are following one battle after another between Regular Stiegl forces and the rebellion forces of General Korthu. More battles ar won by the rebbels, who are closing the net around the center of the Stiegl Galaxy, G-753. Tactical Chief LT Tomar has calculated it is only a matter of weeks before the regular Stiegl fleet will be defeated. The rebble ships appear out of nowhere and parts of the regular Stiegl fleet are changing sides already. Then suddenly 2 of 3 and Lord Lamu are stepping in on the bridge. The last of the Knights of the 7th Order offers his assistance to the crew of the USS Thunderbolt. And Captain Mechels immediately takes advantage of that. "We cannot take any chances. There is still a small chance that the Rebbels will lose this civil war. Maybe the Stiegl government has a secret weapon or so. We must help the rebbels by sending Lord Lamu to them and guide them to victory. We can participate in some of the battles yourself. After the war the chances that Lord Lamu will become one of the leaders of the new Stiegl government are seriously high. We can use him as a puppet on a string en let the Stiegls do what we want." Players: Helena Straetman,Caroline Keuleers,Willem Keuleers, Lieselotte Keuleers, Wouter Keuleers USS Walang In deep space the USS Walang has sent an away team to the surface of planet ZK-69, where First Officer Commander Harry Belafonte is in command. In the suins found on the planet, the away team finds a sargophagus. Captain Hendriks orders the away team to leave the sargophagus alone and look for other clues to what happened to the Trum or Gnodes as they call themselves. Commander Bellafonte proceeds under protection of the invisible Trax. after ten minutes the away team discovers damage to the ruins which can only be caused by energy weapons of some kind. Commander Bellafonte reports. "Captain. There has been fighting around here. It must have been about 600 years ago. I don't think the enemy is still around, but we will proceed mith caution. The enemy of the Trum could have set up traps of any kind. I will report every 10 minutes." "Understood Commander. Proceed." The small group of officers on planet ZK-69 continues their way into the ruins, while the Trax look for traps. Until another sargophagus is found. The Trax are getting excited as they believe these sargophagi could maintain something valuable to the Trum... After two more reports the away team enters a large hall, where almost 40 sargophagi are placed orderly on one line. The team has no choice than to examine the sargophagi with extreme caution. The damage to the walls indicate there has been battle and some of the sargophagi are destroyed. The Trax are getting nervous and they hope that this is not the last they will see of their neighbours, the Trum or Gnodes as they call themselves. But then in a moment of bad luck one of the scientists trips over a piece of rock and falls against one of the sargophagi, which starts to make a strange sound. The entire team pulls back while the sargophagus opens slowly. There is no time to report. In a fraction of a second a green humanoid like creature has stepped out of the sargophagus. he makes a strange sound. But totally unexpected the creature turns to the invisible Trax. Apparently he can see the Trax. "You are Trax. This is unbelievable. How did you get here ? You didn't have that kind of space travel abilities when we left. Oh I am so excited to see a neighbour. Oh I totally forgot... I am Husson. I am a Gnode. Have you traveled here to look for us ?" Counter, head of the Trax delegation is speachless for a moment. This is the moment his people have waited for for so many months, even years. Countor tells Husson how the Federation and Captain Hendriks have helped them to look for the Gnodes. But the Gnode Husson has some bad news. he doesn't know what happened to his people. He knows that some of them build this outpost as they were attacked by an unknown enemy of great force and a high degree of sophistication. They almost lost the battle and many of the Gnodes were killed. But Husson knows the rest of his people continued their voyage to the new home planet. But he doesn't know whether they made it or not. Husson activates all sargophagi in the ruins and in total 47 Gnodes, mostly soldiers are awakened and meet the Trax, their neighbours and the Federation officers. Captain Hendriks herself beams down to the planet and meets the Gnodes, who she is been looking for a long time, but apparently the voyage is not over yet... Players: Marianne Loogen USS Strike Day 1 06.51 A Stiegl ship is very easy to handle. Most systems are fully operational at automated functions. It does not take Commander Matz crew to become expoerts in flying a Stiegl ship. The first target, a Stiegl base at Jonara II, seems a good target for practicing and getting to know the defensive and offcensive systems. Day 1 08.34 The USS Strike engages three Stiegl ships at Jonara II. The Stiegls are so surprised that they don't even return fire. Jonara II is at the mercy of the USS Strike and is destroyed in a matter of minutes. The USS Vertigo also has some success. With the supporting fleet Commodore Slater succeeds in capturing a Stiegl ship himself. Exceptionally the Stiegl ship is renamed Strike 2. With the data sent by his Chief of Security, it takes no time for a crew to get to know the ship and engage the Stiegls at Gundynio IV where a small Stiegl fleet is destroyed by the USS Strike Alpha. Day 3 23.45 At this time seven Stiegl bases and 89 Stiegl ships are destroyed by the USS Strike and USS Strike 2. Three Stiegl ships are captured in good condition and are renamed USS Strike 3, 4 and 5. Starfleet does not entirely agree with the way Commodore Slater handles things, but realises this is a way to destroy the Stiegl enemy and safe a lot of lives... Players: Nadine Peeters, Caroline van Rhee, Thomas van Rhee USS Iceberg A small fleet of 4 Stiegl ships is traveling away at Lamara. Colonel Crow has lost contact with the troops on the planet but as there is no weapons fire anymore he can conclude that the Federation troops have control of the planet of Lamara. But although the situation at Lamara has been cleared Colonel crow decides not to pursuit any Stiegl ships. And although he speaks to his fellow marines, his team does not need an explanation. "The motto of the marines is that we never leave our people behind. Never ! The four other Stiegl ships are for the moment no problem. If they'd become a problem, we'll deal with that problem at the time." Players: Jan Theys USS Colorado Captain Jeffrey Harrison, Personal Log October 9, 1904 We have traveled back in time to counter the Stiegl threat. We have arrived at the same planet where we were, but several hundred years before, at a planet called Fortune, we have a Stiegl in our brig called Horum, who claims to be a Stiegl resistance fighter, but we don't know whether we can believe him or not. Lieutenant Jones has found log files on the Stiegl ship that indicate that these Stiegls and Horum are indeed Stiegl resistance fighters, but those files could have been set up to let us believe that these files are real. We have Horum's ship in one of the cargobays and LT Ally Jones is working on examining that ships database further. There must be more files which can help us. But we have a more complex problem. Apparently a ship from our time has also traveled to the same time period as we did, only a few months before. It is a Federation Miranda class ship in the hands of a group of Maquis, probably the last Maquis that will ever live. The leader of this Maquis group calls himself Jenkins. Mister Jenkins was not the one who contacted us. I am not willing to attack the Maquis ship, but we have to consider that these Maquis could change history. After following the advice of my First Officer Commander Walker I have been talking to Mister Jenkins and I came to the conclusion these Maquis do not know anything about the Stiegls that can be of help... End Log "USS Colorado. To show that you can trust us we will stay here with you in orbit of his planet called Fortune. We might be Maquis, but we really want to show that that is all in the past and that what we really want is to go home, if you have a way, we are ready to listen." Mister Jenkins seemed serious and honest. There were no Maquis anymore after the Cardassians and Dominion forces butchered them. Maybe it was better that they would given a chance to get back where they belonged and start all over. That way they also could not change the future... "Agreed Mister Jenkins. But you will not go to the planet." "Agreed. We will wait here until you have completed whatever you are planning to do." "We will talk again Mister Jenkins. Thank you for your cooperation. Harrison out." The image of Mister Jenkins on the main viewer is replaced with the image of the planet Fortune. In the mean time in the cargo bay Lieutenant Jones does a strange but terrifying discovery. She has found files which indicate the Stiegls have some kind of weapon that can start a chain reaction of huge magnitude. When this weapon is fired in the core of a galaxy this chain reaction will be so large it will destroy that entire galaxy in a matter of months... Just at the same moment, USS Colorado Security Chief Lieutenant Sonak and Commander Walker are called to the brig, where the Stiegl Horum tells the two officers... "Look, I have to tell you something and then you can take any action you find necessary, but I have to tell you... The Stiegls are working on a horrible weapon. That weapon can destroy an entire galaxy. The Stiegls will use it if they are not able to conquer a galaxy they have set their mind on. That is why we have organised reistance. We cannot let our leaders do something like that. those leaders have to be driven away, maybe even killed. But there is not much resistance and our rebellion doesn't mean much. Maybe it will in a few hundred years, but at this time we are powerless. There are not enough of us. We can only track down historical important happenings and try to change the time line. That has been working for some time now, but our technology is limited... Our Stiegl leadership cannot be stopped. It is just a matter of time... 400, 500 maybe 600 years, but eventually time will catch up with us. You showed you can travel through time. you must help us so we can help you..." Later Commander Walker reports to Captain Harrison. "Captain, we got bigger problems on our hands. Horum informed us that the Stiegls are developing massive weapon but doesn't know in what state it is." Captain Harrison doesn't hide his surprise. "What kind a damage can we expect." But LT Sonak has a goed idea. "Horum believes that the weapon can start chain reaction, which when fired at the core of the galaxy. Live in that galaxy would sieze to exsist in a matter of month's." If that is true, it could change things. The Stiegls could use that kind of weapon as a last resort to destroy the entire Galaxy. If they can't get it, destroy it... "Would you say that we can trust these Stielgs for an alliance." Commander Walker also sees the importance of the matter. "Not much, Horum knows what he's talking about. These Stiegls have no idea what happened in the future, it is very possible that the weapon his talking about dosn't exsist in the future and only in this timeline." And LT Sonak has something to add as well. "Horum is willing to help us captain, why find out just how much he is willing to help." Captain harrison likes the idea. "Tom this what I want you do, take your landing party as planned you leave in 30 minutes. Sonak I want you to take Hurom on tour of the ship, get his confedence to tell more about the weapon. And most inportantly, about the Stielgs plans for the future." But more information is needed, so the Captain asks LT Jones for a report. "Lt. Jones, what's your status on the Stielg weapon ?" "I could tell you a whole lot captain, I found six files. The only problem is, I cant read them." Players: Johan Michielsens, Conny Parmentier USS Alice Cooper Captain Kalee takes a padd from the table and shows it to his officers, including the young officer who suggested that there should be send a landing party to the surface of Angel One to investigate the situation. On the padd there is a message. To: Captain Raz Ben-Eleazar Kalee (USS Alice Cooper-B) From: First Off. Cmdr. Tom J. Walker (USS Colorado) Captain sir, our incouter with the Stiegl was short. We made contact with the Stiegl ship near an anomaly we were ordered to investigate. At first we believed that the Stiegl ship was powerless as our scans indicated. Asuming that the crew was in need of medical assistance, I ordered a landing party of 6 including myself. Lt. Richardz recorded all possible data. Within moments we encountered heavy resistance from the Stiegls. In our findings there is no data, that we have us believe that the Stiegl ship has been to or near Angel One. Included are our data reports from the Stiegl ship we retrieved. On the behalf of Captain Jeffrey Harrison First Off. Cmdr. Tom J. Walker (USS Colorado) After het gets the padd back Captain Kalee raises his voice just enough to get everyone's attention. "Now you all listen up. I think that there is no Stiegl around here, nor on Angel One. Around our Quadrant there have been many battles between Federation ships and the Stiegls. Most of these battles have been won by the federation. I even have received information from Starfleet Command that the Stiegls are losing on all fronts. They even tried to take over the Borg Collectiven, but they failed. I think that these males, Gilly Corona is talking about are no Stiegls. We must keep in mind Beatta III is the leader of her planet and we cannot violate the prime directive just because we think something is wrong or we think there are enemies. We need prove, but we must get it without violating any orders or any Federation law. So now I am open for suggestions which are realistic." Ambassador Stevens is the first to speak. He has earned the respect of all officers aboard the USS Alice Cooper and it is silent when he speaks. "We must wait for Starfleet Assistance which is only 14 days away, but we can send an away team over to Angel One to investigate further, and we should send females only. The away team should be composed of Jelana Frankel-Stangya, Judy Sarah Skwyr, and Gilly Corona with Ambassador myself, disguised through the use of holographic technology as a woman... three security women also going along on the away team, one of them a Betazed officer. Players: Crew of the USS Alice Cooper DS2 RPG General Status Report September 2004 USS Earth The USS Moon is stopped by three vessels at Earth. The lead ship, Captain Slater in command, has opened communications. Admiral Steichen doesn't want to let Captain Slater of the USS Defender know what exactly is going on. Apparently Captain Slater has no clue that there has been a lot of time travel done by several federation ships to prevent the Steigl threat. "Captain Slater, I can only tell you we are on a secret mission, with an experimental ship. We will be on our way now. That will be all Captain." Before Captain Slater can answer or ask any questions, the channel is closed and the USS Moon jumps to warp 7. For a moment Captain Slater considers to follow the USS Moon, but she knows she can't keep up, so she decides to report the situation and return to Earth in a standard orbit. In the mean time The USS Moon intelligence officers have gotten the information they needed from the Federation databanks, without getting noticed. Commander Lionel Karmel reports. "Admiral, we have found significant data on the war against the Stiegls. There are two possibilities. One, there is a major turning point at the time we have met ourselves in the passed at the moon we called Rock. This seems logical, as we cannot deny that we traveled back in time and changed history by doing so. But second and more curious is the fact that there are Stiegl reports found in their databanks that refer to an event at a planet called Fortune. We had to recalculate the time to our own standard and we found out that something happened at the planet Fortune in the Earth year 1904. What exactly happened there, we don't know, but it has to do with a lost Stiegl base. That must have been the start of all this. We did have a Stiegl threat. The reason why there is little left of the Federation is that apparently the Stiegls used a very powerful weapon in the last days of the war as an unltimate kind of revenge because they had lost the war. Most of the Federation, but other species, including the Borg were almost whiped out..." After a short talk among the senior satff and Captain Steichen, Admiral Stiechen has made a decision. "We go to Planet Fortune in the Earth year 1904." Players: Christine Steichen Starbase 369 The only entrance to Federation space and to the Galaxy of the Federation for the Stiegls is closed with a huge explosion of the weapons of the USS Energy, commanded by Captain Robbert Stow on orders from Commodore Geert Van Nieuwenhove. USS Energy Captain Robbert Stow Ship's Log We have closed the wormhole. Even mister Kozam, our Stiegl resistance fighter is very happy. Our Commodore is happy and Starfleet Command is happy, especially because other crews of other ships have been able to capture Stiegls and their ships. We are winning this war. It is a great feeling. Right after the war with the Dominion, I thought we would we to weak to defend ourselves against another threat. Even the Klingon and Romulan empire have thrown most of the Stiegl enemies out of their territory. I believe today was the turning point in this war. and the turn was in our favour... End Log But it is not over yet. Unknown to Commodore Van Nieuwenhove the Stiegls have a devastating weapon of mass destruction which can destroy an entire Galaxy. The Stiegls have been working on this weapon for centuries... When the USS Engergy returns to Starbase 369 there is a meeting of the Starbase senior staff and mister Kozam. It is Kozam who does most of the talking. "... No no no, you do not understand the kind of the threat. The Stiegls can do anything anytime. You have to destroy them in their home Galaxy. You just travel to it with a huge fleet of the Federation, maybe with help from others and help the Stiegl resistance to overthrow the Stiegl government." But Commodore Van Nieuwenhove has to explain to Kozam that a Federation ship would be traveling for generations to reach the Stiegl home galaxy. It is simply impossible to do. "You have to ask the Borg then. ask the Borg to help you. I am sure they would give you transwarp technology. Just ask them." Most of the senior officers shake their heads. "Mister Kozam. Have you ever met a Borg ? No ? OK I will tell you. You do not talk to a or the borg. If you would you are either destroyed after your very short conversation or assimilated. I am not sure which one is worst." Silence... "Attention all hands ! Red Alert. Sound general quarters. Commodore to Operations." A few moments later Commodore Van Nieuwenhove arrives in Operations and finds most of the officers checking all sensor logs and running diagnostics. "Report Commander." Second Officer Commander Vera Johnsson reports. "Commodore, we have detected a Stiegl Vessel only one light year away. It appeared out of nowhere and apparently slipped through or net of defending ships. This Stiegl ship is totally deserted. There are no life forms abaord." "Commander Johnsson, send an away team over to the Stiegl ship, with mister Kozam and let them use the ship against the Stiegl enemies." Players: Geert Van Nieuwenhove USS Thunderbolt The USS Thunderbolt has ended up in the Stiegl home galaxy in the middle of a Stiegl civil war. At this time this war has no result and it is not clear who is winning, but one thing is for sure. The assimilated Stiegl resistance fighter Lord Lamu will play a big part in this conflict. With his special gifts and special weapons he seems the perfect person to lead the Stiegl rebels to victory. With Lord Lamu on the USS Thunderbolt, it is an easy job for the crew to get to the most important planets of still in the hands of the Stiegl government, heavily defended, but these defenses are no match for the USS Thunderbolt which clears the way for the Stiegl rebels who more and more become convinced that this is all Lord Lamu's doing. The Lord himself is already a legend after two weeks of successes in one battle after the other. More and more planets who supported the Stiegl government suddenly change sides and join the Rebels. The rebel fleet is growing fast and it seems that after another week of fights, the Government fleet has become outnumbered. It is clearly a turning point in the Stiegl civil war. Therefore Captain Mechels assembles his senior staff one of the Borg and Lord Lamu to discuss the following step. Most of Captain Mechels officers like the idea to destroy all Stiegls who support the Stiegl government so a new government can be formed, a government that will stop all violence and stop attacking other galaxies. But things are not that simple. Lord Lamu explains. "The Stiegl Government has develloped a system we call portal. every minister in the government has a device with which they can activate a portal which leads them away to another portal. The exit portal can be anywhere. So if we approach the capital planet of Bonaa, they will surely escape. It is better to try to find out how this portal system works and then destroy it first... That will destroy their escape route..." Captain Mechels is not yet convinced he has to destroy something he can use himself. "It is clear the Stiegl government has a way to escape from any danger by using a portal system. We must find this portal system, use it to your own goals, and if you cannot, destroy it." Players: Helena Straetman,Caroline Keuleers,Willem Keuleers, Lieselotte Keuleers, Wouter Keuleers USS Walang ZK-69 is a planet where the Gnodes have build an outpost to prevent and nullify attacks from an enemy. This all happened a few thousand years ago, but still Captain Hendriks thinks it is better that most of the Gnodes stay on ZK-69 to rebuild and enforce the outpost. One of the Gnodes will accompany the crew of the USS Walang on its way to the Gnode home planet. The Trax aboard the USS Walang slowly get used to the word Gnodes in stead of Trum. Friendship between the old neighbours are renewed and both species are very pleased to have been able to meet each other again after several millenia. The Gnode called Husson will come with the crew of the USS Walang to continue the journey. He also is very exited that he can see his own species again, maybe even a few of his family. Husson and the Trax, especially Countor spend the next weeks talking and talking about how their species evolved and why the Gnodes left the planet near the Trax homeworld, as Husson explains. "Once every sixteen generations, that is every 64 thousand years, our species prepares for a special procreation. But we cannot do that on the world we live. We need space and a new world to raise our young. Not every Gnode will have young on our new home planet. The soldiers at the outpost you call ZK-69, were selected, because they would not have young." While Husson explains more about his species, the Trax explain about them, and what happened to them around the time the Gnodes left. at the same time the crew returns to the regular duties, while the USS Walang leaves ZK-69 and continues the voyage. But after a month A fleet of unknown ships is detected by the ship's sensors. These ships are twenty times the size of the USS Walang and the first scans indicate that these ships are very powerful. Husson recognizes the ships immediately. "It is them Captain Hendriks. That is our enemy. They are very powerful Captain. You will not win a fight." And Tactical Chief LT Patrick Kant has something to add. "Captain at this speed, they will intercept us in less than two days. There are nine of these ships coming directly to us." Captain Hendriks realises the danger this new enemy can be. She gives her orders. "Lieutenant, contact Federation Head Quarters and ask for orders. Contact the Kirie station and inform them about the situation and the threat, so they will be ready to defend themselves or maybe the scientists at Kirie station have an idea to upgrade our weapons or defensive systems. Maybe the powerfull Kiries themselves can help us. We still have two days so we will try to escape in a totally different direction as the Gnodes home world. Mister Husson, please contact your people, the Gnodes, and inform them of the threat. It will take some modification to the communications systems, but that is a matter of hours." Players: Marianne Loogen USS Strike Day 4 06.22 According the Stiegl database the most important stronghold in the Alpha Quadrant is the planet Lamara. Lieutenant Commander Matz orders to set course to Lamara using all the speed the ship can produce. Day 4 06.23 USS Strike 2 under command of Commander Louis Vandenbroeck is on its way to join the USS Strike to support the efforts of Matz and her crew to eliminate the Stiegl threat once and for all. Both USS Strike and USS Strike 2 report to Commodore Slater aboard the USS Vertigo. Day 4 06.34 The USS Strike arives at Lamara. To her amazement Lieutenant Commander Matz sees that already a Federation starship is in orbit of Lamara, the USS Iceberg and the planet is clear of all Stiegl activity. She contacts the CO of the USS Iceberg and explains hthe precense of USS Strike and that Lamara was one of the main targets of her mission. She also offers her assistance to Colonel Crow, in command of the USS Iceberg. Players: Nadine Peeters, Caroline van Rhee, Thomas van Rhee USS Iceberg With the planet Lamara under control of the local people, the Federation troops stay outside the habited areas of the planet, but stay there in case the Stiegls would return. The troops do not interfere with the daily life on Lamara, which slowly regains its daily routine. The USS Iceberg itself stays in orbit. In addition to air and space support the six runabouts are launched in orbit as well and are used as satelites and defense platforms. Unknown to Colonel Crow and his team, they have changed history in a drastic way. The Stiegls had taken Lamara to start their huge offensive against the Alpha Quadrant. But now with this base gone, the Stiegls have lost one of their most important strategic strongholds. And its getting worse for the Stiegls. Atad is able to intercept communications between Stiegl ships and has something to report that cannot wait. Atad's almost mechanical voice sounds on the bridge. "Colonel. I have intercepted Stiegl communications. It appears that they are retreating to their own home Galaxy. Apparently their own home Galaxy is under a large scale attack from Stiegl rebels and alien ships. There is no confirmation from Starfleet yet sir. It could be misleading communications to let us think we can leave this planet and the Stiegl threat is gone." "No problem. We do not have to leave here. We can stay as long as we want. We have already seen that the planet Lamara is of strategic importance and it is very well possible that the Stiegls will return. But we will stay here as long as we can." Major Bell, also has some news. "Colonel sir. The USS Premiere and the USS Archer are on their way her with reinforcements. They will arrive in three days sir. There are no Stiegl ships within three days from Lamara sir." But then Bell seems surprised. "Sir, I will have to correct myself sir. A Stiegl ship has just dropped out of transwarp sir. This Stiegl ship will be here in 3 minutes. They are already in communications range. We are being hailed sir." "On screen." On the USS Iceberg main viewer appears a Klingon female. "I am Lieutenant Commander Matz, Security Chief of Commodore Slater, USS vertigo. We have captured this Stiegl ship and we use it to find the enemy and destroy the enemy. The planet Lamara was on the list as important in this ships database, so we traveled here. But I see that you have everything under control. Is there anything you need ?" But Colonel Crow has his own thoughts and addresses his officers. "Are we sure this Klingon woman is telling the truth ? Maybe we should wait. If she attacks us, we can return fire and destroy the stiegl ship. Atad, find out who this Starfleet officer is so we have an idea whether she speaks the truth or not. If she's who she tells us she is, this would be a nice surprise. But for now the shields stay up and weapons locked. Atad is searching already to find is this person is truly who she claimes to be. This could be a great break through, but personally, I don't believe in surprises, so I'm keeping my guard up. We'll see." Players: Jan Theys USS Colorado Captain Harrison had three problems. Stiegl presence on the planet Fortune, which is solved now, Stiegl resistance operative Horum, now in the precense of LT Sonak on a tour around the USS Colorado, telling that the Stiegls are developing a weapon so powerful that it can destroy an entire galaxy, and a ship with Maquis in orbit of the same planet, who want to go home... And then there is the problem of the files Lieutenant Jones cannot read. Captain Harrison decides there is no other choice than to get Horum and translate the files. Although Horum, the Stiegl resistance rebel, is not yet one hundred percent to be trusted, there is little choice. With the USS Colorado in the Earth year 1904, subspace communications between the Romulans and a few other species has already put some of the communications officers aboard to work. It is to dangerous to let Horum free without escort, therefore he is brought to a terminal on which the files of th Stiegl shuttle are displayed. But even Horum is surprised to see these files. "Lieutenant Sonak, I don't know what these files are. I cannot tell. You must understand that we of the Stiegl resistance just steal a ship when needed. We don't examine first. We just grab what we can get our hands on and then escape as fast and far as possible. These files must have been in the ships computer before it was stolen. There are a few words I understand, like system and landing party, but I don't see any coordinates or directions to these systems, or instructions for any landing party. I cannot recognise anything that referes to a weapon or defensive or offensive action. I am sorry." Lieutenant Sonak reports to the Captain. It is clear the files will have to be studied more, but without a translation key, it seems inpossible. The ship's main computer has not found a pattern in the words either so that has not given a sollution. At the same time the landing party with Commander Walker in command, has not found anything yet among the small Stiegl structures, until one of the scientists discoveres the same drawings on one of the walls the Colorado crew had already found in their own time. They are on the right track. The Stiegls had setup a base here. And if the USS Colorado had not traveled to the past, the Stiegl resistance rebel called Horum would probably have been killed by the Stiegls and they would have succeeded in expanding this base. But the USS Colorado was just in time to prevent all that. There will be no Stiegl base on Fortune in the future. This mission is already very successful. Lieutenant Sonak gets the crewlist of the maquis ship and while he is looking, Lieutenant Jones is watching the list as well and to her surprise there is a very familiar name on the list: Doctor Carl Amphell. She explains to Lieutenant Sonak that Doctor Amphell is famous in the Federation of his knowledge and study of alien languages. She immediately reports this to the Captain. Commander Walke on the planet surface does not have a lot of success. There is no new information. But the Stiegl base is not completely destoryed, although there is no Stiegl presence anymore on Fortune and the life of the people on Fortune continues as usual Tom Walker and his team discover some Stiegl devices which still seem to be working. Players: Johan Michielsens, Conny Parmentier USS Alice Cooper With the USS Alice Cooper-B close to Angel One the crew has realised that the mistery on the planet is not caused by the Stiegls. What is going on with Beatta III leader of the Angel One community ? An away team is secretly send to Angel One to investigate the situation. Three female security officers, of who one is betazoid, accompanied by Chief Engineer Lieutenant Commander Jelana Frankel-Stangya, Communications Chief Commander Judy Sarah Skwyr, Gilly Corona and Ambassador Jas Stevens himself, disguised by holographic images to let him appear as a female. Stevens gets a last advice from the Chief Engineer. "Ambassador please remember this holographic generator only has power for 72 hours. By that time it would be nice that we have some answers to our questions. Captain, we are ready to go sir." "Very well than. Keep a low profile. When things get to hot under your feet just send the signal and we will beam you back. Is that clear ?" "Yes sir." A moment later the away team is transported to the surface and the crew returns to its regular duties. To keep as much low profile as possible contact between the away team and the ship will be extremely limited. Waiting for a reply from the away team , Captain Kalee is contacted by Captain Paulus Ginder in command of the USS Australia which is now 10 days away. "Captain Kalee, it is good to see you again. We met on the Starfleet Captain's Ball last summer. We talked about those new quantum physic drives. Anyway. There will be plenty of time to catch up with that. We will be at Angel One in 10 days. please inform me if there is new information. I have contacted the USS Polaris, and she will join us in a few days. So the cavalry is on its way." "Hi Paulus good to see you too. We will be expecting you." The channel is closed. Captain Kalee remembers Captain Ginder well. After the return of USS Voyager from the Delta Quadrant, he was the man who did a lot of research on the quantum slipstream drive. Seeing the optimistic Captain Ginder, Captain Kalee asumes the progress on the new propulsion drive is going well. But at this time he has other things to worry about. Captain Kalee is waiting for the first reports of his away team... Players: Crew of the USS Alice Cooper DS2 RPG General Status Report October 2004 USS Earth The USS Moon speeds up to go to another time period. The goal is set to Earth period in 1904, at planet Fortune. There have to be more answers to the Stiegl intentions. Maybe there will be some clues to this Stiegl weapon or weapons that are so devestating. All stations are secured. The crew is ready. The jump is initiated. Only a few minutes later the USS Moon arrives in the Earth year 1904, close to the planet called Fortune on October 11, 1904. But to their surprise the crew of the USS Moon look at two Federation ships in orbit of the planet Fortune. With a scan these ships are identified as the USS Coloradon, Galaxy class and the USS Methode, Miranda class starship. Both ships are from the time of Captain Steichen, but when the entire bridge crew looks at her they realise Captain Steichen does not have the answers either. "Admiral the USS Colorado is on red alert. Shall we raise our shields?" "What is the USS Methode doing?" "Nothing Admiral. They have not powered up their weapons and their shields are down. That is strange isn't it? Wait a minute. Our records show that the USS methode was stolen out of spacedock of Starbase 337 by a group of Maquis... And there is another thing Admiral. There is an away team on the planet's surface. They have just activated a Stiegl portal device." A moment of a fast talk of the USS Moon bridge crew. "As we don't have any answers, we have to ask them. Commander Horn, who is in command of the USS Colorado?" "A certain Captain Jeffrey Harrison. He has a fine record Admiral, an excellent record actually." "OK let's here what he has to say. Open a channel." "Channel open Admiral." On the main viewer appears an older man in captain's uniform. Apprently he is more worried about the presence of the USS Moon than the Stiegl threat. Admiral Steichen feels she has some explaining to do. "This makes things even more complicated. You must be Captain Harrison, in command of the USS Colorado. And that other ship is a refuge Maquis ship. I am Admiral Christine Stiechen. Next to me is Captain Christine Steichen. Captain Steichen is from your time, this ship and I are from about 40 years into your future. We have been fighting the Stiegls for four decades and the USS Moon is one of the few ships the Federation has left. We are very interested in the devices your away team has found on the planet's surface..." Players: Christine Steichen Starbase 369 Commander Vera Johnsson orders squad team one to assemble and take mister Kozam to the deserted Stiegl ship. Squad team one is under command of Major Jix Lato. Lato and his team are special ops infiltration specialists and it takes only a runabout and a few minutes before squad team one has control over the Stiegl ship. Mister Kozam, Stiegl himself, is surprised about the abilities of Lato's team. While the pilot returns with the runabout, the Stiegl ship is already moving with a crew of twelve, including mister Kozam. Kozam doesn't have to explain a lot, just point out some of the details or answer some questions. After ten minutes already Major Lato reports to Starbase 369. "369, 369, this is Lato, we will be moving towards you at full impulse. Currently Starfleet has captured three Stiegl ships and those ships are working to destroy Stiegl bases. I suggest we do the same with this ship. The database is large, but most of these Stiegl bases are already destroyed or deserted." "That is indeed good news Major. It seems we are winning. Anymore news?" "That is right 369. According the database of this ship the Klingons have captured 17 Stiegl ships already. They are using these ships to capture more. Apparently Klingon space is almost free of Stiegls. We also have some news from the Romulans. We just had contact with a Stiegl ship, captured by the Romulans. They told us that the home galaxy of the Stiegls is under attack, but they could not find out who or what." Now even Commodore Van Nieuwenhove is surprised, but before he can say something Commander Johnsson cannot hide her amazement. "The Romulans told you that?" "Yes Commander. I still have connections with Romulan operatives. One of them is on that Stiegl ship. I know him personally. He was very useful during the war with the Dominion. I have no doubt that he is speaking the truth. And there is more... One moment please..." While Major Lato listens to his assistant, the moments of silence seem to last for ever in Starbase 369 Operations. Then Major Lato continues. "369, I don't know whether this information is correct, but I thought you should know. This information comes from the Borg Colective. Apparently the Borg have destroyed the last Stiegl ship in their reach. They had some help from Species 8472... I know this sounds incredible. Apparently the Stiegls have tried to take over the machine components of the Collective, but they failed. 369, according this information there was a Federation starship involved in calling species 8472 to help the Borg. It was the USS Thunderbolt, Captain Mechels in command. The USS Thunderbolt is a renegade Starfleet vessel. Apparently Captain Mechels did his bit to help in the fight against the Stiegls. Please remember that this information is not confirmed by any other source we have. There is a huge log of communications between Stiegl ships, Stiegls fleets and Stiegl bases on this ship. It is to much to tell you all of it. i will not download any of this into the 369 computer. It still could be a trap. I suggest that we take no risks. One moment... there is a Stiegl fleet on its way to Starbase 369, 17 ships. We can take them out from here. I can enter the ships computers and let their engines blow themselves up. Just give the word." The conversation is interupted by Captain T'kon, in command of the USS Starmaker. "369, Starbase 369, we have visual contact with a Stiegl fleet of 17 ships. What are your orders?" But Commodore Geert Van Nieuwenhove has already made a decision. "Major Lato, you have authorisation to use any means to destroy that Stiegl fleet." Major Lato just pushes a button. About a minute later Captain T'kon reports in again. "USS Starmaker to Starbase 369. All Stiegl ships are destroyed. Apparently they all had engine problems." All ships of Commodore Van Nieuwenhove's fleet are informed about the Stiegl ship now on their side. Major Lato receives orders to find any Stiegls and destroy them. A moment later the Stiegl ship jumps to warp on its way to Yama II, one of the last Stiegl bases a few sectors away. On Starbase 369 tension drops. Finally a serious answer has been found against the Stiegl threat. Although the war seems to be going in favor of the Federation, it is not over yet. But due to all of the good news from all over the Federation Admiral Henry Clemont has called all Starbase commanders under his command to his Starbase 111 for a meeting. But the thoughts of Commodore Van Nieuwenhove speak for themselves. "Are you crazy ? This is not the time to have a meeting. Sounds rather dangerous to have all starbase commanders at the same place while desperate Stiegls can strike and cripple Starfleet." There is one thing for sure. Commodore Van Nieuwenhove will not go to such a meeting. Players: Geert Van Nieuwenhove USS Thunderbolt In a galaxy far far away... The USS Thunderbolt crew has been informed with technology that the Stiegls call portal. The perfect escape for anyone, especially for the Stiegl government members. While the Stiegl civil war continues, Lord Lamu informs Captain Mechels that there is a uninhabited planet where probably portal devices can be found. It is the former capitatal planet of the Stiegls called Palador. Palador was the capital planet of the Stiegls before the government moved to the planet Boona. That move to the planet of Boona was strange. But one thing is for sure. After the move the government started to eliminate their political enemies one by one. They also started to expand the Stiegl territory and conquer other galaxies. And Lord Luma continues. "I think that on the planet of Boona there has to be something, that has had influence on our government. I can feel it, but I can not prove it. When I use my force, I can feel a disturbance in the force on planet Boona. Well, everything in good time." While the meeting with the Borg and Captain Mechels continues the USS Thunderbolt is on its way to the planet palador. But the Stiegls probably see the intensions of the USS Thunderbolt crew and while the Stiegl resistance fighters keep the regular Stiegl military at a distance there is a very small ship making its way through. The USS Thunderbolt is contacted by a Stiegl who calls himself Minister Bada. Lord Lamu knows this Minister Bada and explains to Captain Mechels he will deal with Minister Bada himself. Lord Lamu goes to an empty cargo bay on deck 2 and takes his weapon. Without warning there is suddenly a small rupture in the shields just aside of the cargobay. Minister Bada takes the opportunity to transport himself aboard the USS Thunderbolt. Before anyone can intervene, the shields are already online. The three Borg drones enter the cargobay followed by Captain mechels and a security group under command of Chief of Security Lieutenant Tomar. Just as Tomar wants to order to fire on the intruder one of the Borg drones stops him. "This is a fight between one man and one other man. Do not intervene. The forces used in this battle are to large for you to understand. You will be destroyed by them if you come to close. If anything happens to Lord Lamu, we will intervene and kill this Minister Bada." Not really happy with this explanation the security officers still have little choice than to wait for the result of this fight. Now also Minister Bada has a cylinder shaped weapon in his hand. The weapon of Lord Lamu is already activated. A green static energy has come out of the cylinder... an energy sword. Minister Bada's sword is red and makes a soft humming noise. Some of the resistance Stiegl ships have gathered around the USS Thunderbolt. apparently they can see with their sensors what is going to happen in the USS Thunderbolt cargobay. The battle begins. Both men jump five meters up. Their swords hitting eachother in the air high above the floor. The two men move so fast that it is difficult to follow where exactly they are. Their bodies seem to fade away, and during the fight both men are only recognisable by the color of their swords. The fight takes fifty seconds, ending with Minister Bada on the floor, not hurt, but on the floor. In a last desperate attempt to kill Lord Lamu, Minister Bada jumps up, points his sword forward and hits Lord Lamu in the chest. But nothing happens. Lord Lamu is still standing. And for a moment Captain Mechels remembers that Lord Lamu has been assimilated by the Borg and now can use his nanotechnology to generate a forcefield around him, probably addapted to the energy of this energy sword. But Minister Bada does not understand at all. Lord Lamu should have been killed. But Lord Lamu is still standing there and he is not even hurt a bit. "How can this be? How did you do that?" Lord Lamu is not prepared to tel the truth. "I am one with the higher force. Surrender." Whatever happend to Lord Lamu, Minister Bada will never know. Minister Bada realises he has been defeated. "Never. I would rather take my own life." Before anyone can intervene Minister Bada has pushed his energy sword into his body. After only a moment the body of Minister Bada vaporizes and is gone. His sword falls on the floor, deactivated. Lord Lamu bends over and takes the sword. He offers it to Captain Mechels. "This is yours now. Use it with honor." Before Captain Mechels can answer Chief of Operations, Lieutenant Brussels, calls him from the bridge. "Captain. We have arrived at the uninhabited planet in the Palador system. We have detected one of those gateway devices." "Do not send anypone through the gateway. Wait until someone comes from the other side." Players: Helena Straetman,Caroline Keuleers,Willem Keuleers, Lieselotte Keuleers, Wouter Keuleers USS Walang With a threat of a large fleet of enemies of the Gnodes, the Gnode called Husson, has not yet been able to contact his people. So at first there is no help to be expected from the Gnodes themselves. The USS Walang is to slow to escape this enemy fleet and contacting them is not been successful. On the contrary as Commander Bellafonte, First Officer reports. "They will have caught up with us in less than a day Captain. I don't see how we can escape. I suggest we seperate the saucer section..." "Would it matter Commander ? The saucer is even slower than anything in the fleet. Besides, we might need the power of the saucer's engines." Commander Bellafonte has to agree. "I know, but I was just trying to find a way to survive all this. If they attack... We will be no match for them, if Husson is right." Twelve hours later the enemy fleet is close enough for the USS Walang to scan these ships. The results of these scans are incredible. "Captain. We could not even win a fight against one of those ships. And there are nine of them. We should consider hiding or something. Although I must say there doesn't seem to be a hiding place nearby." With no reply of the Gnodes themselves and no reply from the Kirie station, most of the crew write letters to their families and friends, which are sent to station Kirie, hoping station Kirie will sent all those messages to home... the waiting has come to an end. All of USS Walang defensive and offensive systems are at peak performance. The enemy of the Gnodes still does not reply on the communications attempts of Captain Hendriks and her crew... A battle seems unavoidable... Eleven hours later... Without warning the first alien enemy ship open fire on the USS Walang. The USS Walang is shaken like a small toy. Most of the systems are damaged and are off line. The USS Walang is not even able to return fire. The second alien enemy ship approaches... A dark mass coming out of nowhere jumps the alien enemy fleet, destroying a first enemy ship in a matter of seconds... It is Chief of Operations, Lieutenant Commander John Strauss who reports. "Captain. The Kiries. It's the Kiries. They are attacking the enemy. they are helping us. The enemy ships are destroyed by the Kiries. There must be thousands of them. It's incredible. It's the Kiries. Wow. Did you see them go..." The enemy fleet is completely destroyed by the Kiries, who return to their home afterwards, except for one of them. Through Countor the Trax this one Kirie explains. "We have come. Your enemy was bad. We have read their minds. You would call them pirates. No right they had to attack you. And as you are our friends, we came and help you. It was our pleasure. Wait. I see a familiar person on your ship, who have not seen for many many time. You must be a Gnode. We have met long time ago..." Husson recognizes the Kirie. The pleasure of seeing each other again is pleasant for both. But the renewed friendship and the feast is short as the USS Walang has to be repaired and the Kirie are going home again. But the voyage continues and looks very promissing. It is clear that this region of space holds much more dangers than expected. Captain Hendriks decides to ask the Gnode Husson which way is safer, even if it takes a year more... "If the safe way takes too long we go on traveling carefully with high speed at the streches that seem reasonably safe, always at yellow alert." Players: Marianne Loogen USS Strike Day 4 08.12 The USS Strike is leaving Lamara to a new destination on the list of the Stiegl database, known as a Stiegl base. Lieutenat Commander Matz explains to Colonel Crow, she is pleased to find Lamara under Federation control and that she is needed elsewhere. Day 6 03.17 Starfleet Command has confirmed that a huge Stiegl doomday ship as large as a planet has entered Federation space. Klingon and Federation forces have engaged this Stiegl doomship, but until now the attacks have little effect. The captured Stiegl ships, including the USS Strike, have to intercept this Stiegl doomship and find a way to destroy it. It is believed that this Stiegl doomship has a weapon aboard that can destroy an entire galaxy. Day 6 22.49 The USS Strike and USS Strike 2 are in sensor range of the Stiegl doomship. About a hundred Klingon and Federation ships are attacking the Stiegl doomship, but with little effect. most attack runs are suicide missions... It is time to make a decision. Players: Nadine Peeters, Caroline van Rhee, Thomas van Rhee USS Iceberg But to his surprise and his team, the Stiegl captured USS Strike with the Klingon female Matz in command leaves Lamara and a few moments later the USS Iceberg sensors do not detect the USS Strike anymore. In a last message to the USS Iceberg, Lieutenat Commander Matz explains she is pleased to find Lamara under Federation control and that she is needed elsewhere. It seems that the planet Lamara is now in complete control of the troops of the USS Iceberg. A few days later when the USS Premiere and the USS Archer take over the defenses of Lamara the US Iceberg is ready to leave, but as Colonel Crow has not yet received new orders he still has time to talk to the other Captains. So he learns that the Stiegls are retreating. According the communications received by the captured Stiegl ships, the Stiegl home galaxy is under attack. There is not much more information, but as Captain Louis Denger says... "I guess it was just a matter of time. If you try to conquer galaxies, you probably run ionto enemies who are stronger, faster and more advanced than yourself. the Stiegls must have encountered such an enemy and they are helping us and everyone else who has been in conflict with these Stiegls." During the meeting new orders come in for the USS Iceberg. A huge Stiegle battleship, almost as big as a small planet has crossed the border of the Klingon Empire and Federation space. While the Klingons are still attacking this ship they have many losses. This huge Stiegl battleship seems to be unbeatable. More firepower is needed. While the USS Premiere and the USS Archer will stay at Lamara just in case the Stiegls return the USS Iceberg sets course to intercept the huge Stiegl battleship which is traveling only at warp 4. It seems this ship has been somehow dropped into this galaxy by the Stiegls. It is on its way to the center of the Galaxy, which makes the federation Council believe this ship has the so called doomsday weapon abaord, which can destroy an entire galaxy. As special Starfleet Marines it is expected from Colonel Crow and his officers to come up with a plan to destroy this huge Stiegl battleship without having the Galaxy destroyed. Already 49 Federation starships have joined the Klingon forces to try to destroy this Stiegl ship, but they are destroyed or heavily damaged one by one. The situation is grim. More Starfleet vessels are on their way, but Starfleet Command doesn't have any good ideas at this time... A fleet of six ships has set course out of the Galaxy, just in case of the worst case scenario. The Federation has to survive, but to buy these ships some time, the Stiegl doom ship will be attacked untill there are no ships left... Players: Jan Theys USS Colorado Translations, alien Stiegl devices. It is all around and on planet Fortune. It appears that the Stiegl threat started here... Lieutenant Sonak is working with Lieutenant Jones to get a better view on the files in the STiegl database of Horum's Stiegl ship. "Sonak here captain, we found someone that can be of use to us, that persoon is Doctor Carl Amphell." "Where is doctor Amphell?" "Dr Amphell is onboard the Maquis ship. Captain, Dr Amphell is greately know in the Federation for his knowledge and study of alien languages." "Thank you Lieutenant. Mr Sonak, see if you can reach Dr Amphell." While Lieutenant Jones and Lieutenant Sonak are trying to persuade Doctor Amphell to come over and study the Stiegl files, Commander Walker, on the surface of planete Fortune reports. "Walker to Colorado." "Harrison here commander, what is your status." "Captain we found some active devices between the dibree. Horum made sure the base is destroyed, premission stay longer and scan the devices." "Time is something we have a lot of, Number One. Stay as long as you must. Report your progress." "Aye sir. Walker out." Doctor Amphel realises this is about the end of everything humans know and is transporting over to the USS Colorado, where he starts working on the Stiegl files immediately. Accompanied by Lieutenant Jones, Doctor Amphel turns every Stiegl meaningless word into a clear understandable word. One by one the lines of the files are becoming clear. And finally when Doctor Amphel is ready with the complete translation, the files indicate a serious attack on a galaxy, in which that galaxy will be completely destroyed with only one weapon. The galaxy is not identified, but pictures and holographic images of that galaxy are available. It is not the Galaxy, humans call home. That is the only good news. In the mean time on the surface of planet Fortune, The away team has found a way to activate the Stiegl devices. With the permission of the Captain one of the Stiegl devices is acivated. The device is making a strange noise, just for a short moment and then just a few meters away from the device some kind of door opens. Apparently the device created this door. Through the door is nothing to be seen. There are no sounds either. Just before Commander Walker can report this to the USS Colorado, something happens close to the planet Fortune as Chief of Operations Lieutenant Doran reports on the bridge of the USS Colorado. "Captain a temporal rift is openening. A ship is coming out of the rift." "Red Alert. Shields." Sir that ship is clearly a Federation ship, although the design is not in our database. It could be one of the new ships or prototypes. The designation of the ship is USS Moon. Sir we are being hailed." "Channel open, on screen." On screen there appear two female Starfleet officers. They look almost the same, except that one of them is older. It is the older offcier that speaks. We are very interested in the devices your away team has found on the planet's surface..." Players: Johan Michielsens, Conny Parmentier USS Alice Cooper The USS Alice Cooper-B is close to Angel One in an investigation of why women rebbels have started what looks like a civil war against the Angel One leading government under Beatta III. The leader of the rebbels called Gilly Corona, has been captured while she and her rebbels were trying to take over the USS Alice Cooper-B. Captain Kalee has sent an away team to Angel One with only female officers, Gilly Corona herself and Ambassador Jas Stevens. Ambassador Stevens is equiped with a portable holographic emitter which makes him look like a female. But the holographic emitter only has power for 72 hours. Since their landing on Angel One, there has not been any communication with the away team, but scannings indicate the entire group is still alive and in good health. A few decks below the bridge of the USS Alice Cooper-B, some lower ranking officers have finished their shift for the day and are wondering what they should do the next hour, before going to sleep. Ensign Nepal Jo, Ensign Erwin Hook and Ensign Laura Ramirez have decided they should go and have a drink in the lounge. When they come in the lounge it strikes them that it is silent. Only a few higher ranking officers are talking about the away team, that has not returned yet and from which they have not heard, but when Jo, Hook and Ramirez come closer to their table, they stop talking. Passing them the three Ensigns have a good idea what this was about and sit at a table as far as possible from the others. While they ordr their drinks the conversation of course is about the away team... Ensign Erwin Hook, security officer opens the conversation whispering. "Come'on Jo, you have heard them. The away team is lost. We should send some security troops." Ensign Laura Ramirez, clearly the smartest of the three only has one answer. "Erwin, Erwin, Violence will not solve anything. Even with the away team dead, violence will not bring them back." But Ensign Nepal Jo, still has some remarks. "I think they should inform us all. We have been in Starfleet for seven months. We could learn a lot from this. In case we are going on away missions ourselves. Surely you must agree with me Laura." "I don't know. I must say that I had to pull everything out today to get those plasma inducers on line again. I am sure they are not going to let me go on away missions. Who knows what I will do in unexpected situations. Yes yes Erwin you would should a friendly alien, just because you don't know anything about that alien and while he is making a friendly gesture, you would think you are under attack..." It was silent for a moment. Erwin Hook had to admit that Laura was right. "Yeah probably. You know sometimes when I have to do patrols of the lower decks, I'd rather walk around with a phaser in my hand. And that is my own ship here. And I have two security crewmen with me. I should have gone for ops. Security is not really my thing. And yes you are right Laura, maybe I would shoot a lot of aliens before I really had a good idea of what they would want." And then all three of them agreed that they weren't ready to go on away missions. They still had a lot to learn. They started to talk about other things... ----- The away team on the surface of Angel One are rather successful. They find out that the male unrest is motivated by Cardassian/Romulan interests in the area, a joint effort by both to bring Angel One under their combined influence -- create a Cardassian/Romulan Anti-Federation alliance with Angel One as their launch point for an invasion of Federation territory. And to gain control of Angel One they've promised the rebel male dissidents, "The Rising Sons", weapons to overthrow female rule in return for a declairation of loyalty (a mutual alliance pact) to the new Cardassian/Romulan Alliance -- Ferengii traders paid by the Romulan Senate and Obsidian Order supplying the "Rising Sons" with their weapons. However, the "Rising Sons" are not representative of the average male populace in feeling, more violent... extreemist... in sentiment: the average male willing to settle for social reform granting men greater rights/respect under the current Matriarchate order. Players: Crew of the USS Alice Cooper DS2 RPG General Status Report November 2004 USS Earth The USS Moon has arrived in the year 1904 in orbit of the planet called Fortune. Also in orbit are a Maquis ship USS Methode and a Starfleet vessel, USS Colorado. Captain Steichen and Admiral Steichen think about the same thing. "This doesn't seem right, but then again it could be. There are to many questions. We should just stay here and let the USS Colorado crew finish their investigation. When they have, we will ask for all information available." But Captain harrison invites Admiral Steichen to come over to his ship. As Admiral Steichen accapts the invitation she aslo decides to send an away team to the planet Fortune to get one of those devices. Upon arrival abaord the USS Colorado Admiral Steichen meets with Captain Harrison and his first officer Commander Walker in Captain Harrison's ready room. Admiral Steichen explains again that they have tried to find a way to destroy the Stiegls. Their worst fear is that the Steigls have a weapon which can destroy an entire galaxy. Captain Harrison can only confirm this as his officers have found files which refer to that kind of weapon. And the Stiegls apparently already have used this kind of weapon on at least one other galaxy. Admiral Steichen is very happy that the devices found on the planet Fortune have nothing to do with a doomsday weapon. And as the officers talk and exchange information time passes quickly. Admiral Steichen returns to the USS Moon and orders to make preparations to leave this time frame. The USS Moon's away team is transported back, with one of the Stiegl devices. These devices have to be studied more. But before the preparations are complete something happens on the planet close to away team of the USS Colorado. A Stiegl man steps out of the portal created by one of the devices. Before the Starfleet officers can react the Stiegl man waves his hand. All of the officers are thrown up into the air and are thrown against the walls by an unknown force. The Stiegl man picks up one of the devices, pushes a few buttons and is transported elswhere. Lieutenant Doran, in command of the USS COlorado away team, gets back on his feet and reports to the USS Colorado. A communication closely monitored by the USS Moon. "USS Colorado. A Stiegl came through this portal. He smashed us against the walls with incredible telekenetic powers. We didn't have a chance. He somehow transported out of here." When Lieutenant Doran has just finnished his report, the entire crew of the refuge Maquis ship, USS Methode is transported down to the planet Fortune. A time rift opens close to the Maquis ship and before anyone can do something, the Maquis ship, with only the Stiegl man aboard, enters the time rift, which closes immediately behind it. The Maquis ship, USS methode is gone. The Stiegl man is gone. It all happened in less than a minute. Admiral Steichen realises there is no time to lose. She orders to open a time rift. "We will make a decision on our way." A few seconds later another time rift opens The USS Moon jumps into the time rift and is gone as well. "Admiral we are on our way. We can follow the USS Methode, but we don't know what this Steigl is planning to do. We are currently calculating where and when this Stiegl is going aboard the USS Methode. We are much faster as the USS Methode is an old Miranda class ship. If we want, we can be at the destination and time of the USS Methode before the USS methode arrives. We can just wait for this Steigl." Players: Christine Steichen Starbase 369 Now that the war against the Stiegls has taken a turn, it is time for the USS Carry to set course again to several planets to collect new supplies. The freighter USS Carry has been in Starbase 369 spacedock since the danger of the Stiegls has begon. Now Commander Jeffrey Dunn once again takes his ship to space to get the necessary supplies for the starbase. With his crew Dunn is happy to be in space again. When the USS Carry increases speed from low to high warp Commander Dunn sits back in his old center seat. This was his first ship and this ship did not have any other commander. In the years aboard this ship his crew and he have experimented with all kinds of new technology. It started because some of the crew were getting bored. Running cargo from one planet to another and than back to the starbase again, were not exactly entertaining. So the crew and their Commander looked for things to do. Not the usual battle drills, but non-standard enhanced tactical specialities, shuttle operations, and more techniques which are very close to the admissible... It is Lieutenant Folkes who first has contact with Major Lato on the captured Stiegl ship. Commander Dunn is informed about the huge Stiegl ship on course to the center of the Galaxy, carrying a device able to destroy the entire galaxy. And there doesn't seem to be a way to stop this ship. The situation gets worse. This Stiegl ship, classified by Starfleet as the Doomship, will pass Starbase 369 at a rather close distance. Major Lato knows about the abilities of the crew of the USS Carry and counts on that crew to come up with a sollution. Starfleet has lost 17 ships already trying to destroy this Stiegl Doomship. And the honorable Klingons have already lost 6 ships. There doesn't seem to be anything that can stop this Stiegl doomship. Commodore Van Nieuwenhove is informed of the situation by Commander Dunn, but also by Starfleet Command. The Federation is even thinking about asking help from the Borg. After all this is also their galaxy... But Commodore Van Nieuwenhove has more immediate problems. After a recalculation of his navigation officers it has been established that this Stiegl Doomship is on a course which will take it directly onto a collision course with Starbase 369. That ship will collide with Starbase 369 within less than three days. Major Lato in his Stiegl ship is send to help destroy this Stiegl Doomship. Players: Geert Van Nieuwenhove USS Thunderbolt An entire security team is standing ready at a Stiegl gateway device, activated on Palador. Behind them is Lord Lamu, standing and waiting. Among the Stiegl rebels the story of Lord Lamu is already going around and especially the part where Minister Bada hit Lord Lamu with his sword and nothing happened. Slowly all Stiegl rebels know all about Lord Lamu. But the Stiegl government who is not yet defeated, hears about Lord Lamu as well. And Ministers Gogma, Finok and Lordam are sent out to destroy this Lord Lamu. The Stiegl High Leader stays behind on his planet. Unknown to Gogma, Finok and Lordam, the Stiegl high Leader is preparing to flee to another galaxy. It all seems like an easy job as Lord Lamu is standing at one of the Stiegl gateway portals. It doesn't take long for Gogma, Finok and Lordam to find the right route and jump out of the Gateway on Palador. Not expecting heavy resistance Finok is the first to attack Lord Lamu, but is shot down by the USS Thunderbolt security officers. Gogma and Lordam have learned fast and both of them are able to stop the phaser fire from the Security officers with their swords. Captain Mechels realises his security officers are no match for these Stiegl ministers and transports them back to the ship. Captain Mechels also realises that Lord Lamu's upcoming fight is followed by Stiegl rebels and they will tell all Stiegls about Lord Lamu if he wins. Lord Lamu could be a living legend after this fight... The fight of the titans is decisive for the future of the Stiegls. While Gogma and Lordam drive Lord Lamu into a corner both ministers think they have already won, but they realize to late it is a trap set up by lord Lamu. Lord Lamu uses his force to jump over the two ministers and attacks them from behind. Gogma is hit on the shoulder and on his back. He dies a few seconds afterwards. While Lordam hesitates, Lord Lamu takes the chance to attack. But Lordam is able to jump out of the way, at the same time hitting Lord Lamu with his sword. But again Lord Lamu seems invulnerable. He is not hurt at all. On many Stiegl ships whisperes go around, even on the Stiegl ships of Stiegls loyal to the Government. The name and fame of Lord Lamu is rising and even Lordam, using his force to control the Stiegl Governement fleet with the Stiegl High Leader feels the Stiegls are taking the side of Lord lamu. But Lordam has to obey his master, the Stiegl High Leader and he has no choice but to fight Lord Lamu. But he has enough force of his own to give Lord Lamu a last message. "Lord Lamu. I have to obey my master. I have to do everything to defeat you or to gain time so my master canescape. I hope you understand." While both men cross swords Lord Lamu feels that Lordam cannot be safed and has been to deep and to long under the force of the Stiegl High Leader. "I know. I am sorry, but I cannot save you. You can only save yourself." "It is to late Lord Lamu. I am doomed. You must destroy me." Lordam attacks, jumping high up in the air... At the same time Stiegl High Leader Hindoria has opened a gateway and steps through it. His influence on Lordam decreases rapidly. Lordam's attack fails and he falls on the floor a few meters away from Lord Lamu, on his own sword. Badly hurt he addresses Lord Lamu for the last time. "Free... I am free... Get him... Lamu... Free our people..." Minister Lordam vanishes. It is over. Lord Lamu reports to Captain Mechels who has followed the fight on his bridge. "Captain Mechels. We can use this gateway to get Stiegl High Leader Hindoria. We have to act quickly... Far away all Stiegl Government troops surrender. Peace has returned among the Stiegls... Players: Helena Straetman,Caroline Keuleers,Willem Keuleers, Lieselotte Keuleers, Wouter Keuleers USS Walang The Gnode, called Husson explains a lot about this region of space. He has not been able to contact his people, but calculations indicate that the journey to the new Gnodes homeplanet will take at least another year. The relation between Husson and the Trax, Countor is becoming like friendship. Husson tells Countor about how they discovered the Trax and what kind of primitive people the Trax were in those days. In a short time Countor learns alot about his people's history, whitnessed by the Gnodes. The word Trum is no longer used. Some of the crew are getting a little bit worried as communications through Station Kirie are coming in about a enemy Stiegl doomship, which has a weapon aboard that could destroy an entire galaxy. If that weapon is launched, the entire galaxy would be destroyed, including the worlds of Trax and Gnodes. But at this time there is little the crew of the USS Walang can do about it, except hope for the best. As the journey continues, more repairs are done and only a week later sensors are at full capacity. Lieutenant Commander John Strauss already has a new report. "Captain. We detect a planet only four lightyears away. It is an habitable planet. But... wait a minute... Captain, our sensors detect technology of Stiegls... our enemy... Sensors do not detect Stiegl life forms, but that doesn't mean anything. These Stiegls can hide themselves or use technology to fool our sensors." The USS Walang gets closer to the planet designated as PP-499. This is certainly not a planet in Federation space. So in principle the USS Walang can not interven on this planet, but because there is Stiegl technology on this planet, Captain Hendriks has to make an exception. Countor, the Trax has heard about the war between the Stiegls and the other species of the Galaxy. During a meeting with Captain Hendriks and Husson, Countor has a suggestion. "Captain Hendriks, these Stiegls are not only enemies of your Federation, but enemies to all of us as they want to destroy our entire galaxy. The Trax are invisible for them. Let us go to the planet you call PP-499 and let us investigate." As Countor and the Trax volonteer Captain Hendriks will let them go to PP-499 for an investigation. The Trax are invisible. If there are Stiegl enemies, they will not be able to see the Trax. Captain hendriks wants to investigate now. "Otherwise our return journey might be interupted on their terms. We want to make sure what is going on." Players: Marianne Loogen USS Strike Day 6 23.06 A decision is made aboard the USS Strike and USS Strike 2. Both ships will concentrate on trying to get crew aboard and stop this Stiegl doomship. Sensors indicate there is no life aboard the Stiegl doomship. In addition the Stiegl doomship is on a course to collide with Starbase 369. Time becomes an issue. Day 7 01.14 More Federation ships arrive at the location and start their attack runs. Calculations indicate that there is no way the Federation and Klingon forces can stop this Stiegl doomship, which is on an automatic course towards the center of the galaxy, where it will explode, destroying the galaxy. Day 7 02.09 The crews of USS Strike and USS Strike 2 have found a sollution to get aboard the Stiegl doomship. A warning is send out to get the other ships out of the way. Lieutenant Commander Matz uses the communications array of the Stiegl ship USS Strike and the Stiegl doomship. This way she is able to access the Stiegl main computer. But it is not over yet. The Stiegl doomship has to be stopped manually from aboard that ship. A team under command of Lieutenant Commander Matz transports aboard the Stiegl doomship through the shields. The small group is on its way to the main computer... Players: Nadine Peeters USS Iceberg All captured Stiegl ships are now on their way to this Stiegl doomship, which has to be stopped. All available other ships are on an intercept course and making plans how to stop this huge Stiegl ship, which carries a weapon that can destroy the entire galaxy. The orders are clear. Players: Jan Theys USS Colorado In the year 1904 the USS Colorado is in orbit of a planet called Fortune, together with a refuge maquis ship and a ship from another timeline, USS Moon, Admiral Steichen in command, who makes contact with the USS Colorado. Captain Harrison is the one who responds. Admiral Steichen shows a lot of interest in the Stiegl devices on the planet Fortune, found by Tom Walker and his away team. "I am Captain Jeffrey Harrison, any reason why you are interested in the devices." "Let's just say they could make a difference, can we meet!" Captain Harrison himself is very interested in what Admiral Steichen has to say. "Let's say in half an hour." "Agreed." When the channel is closed Captain harrison contacts his away team. "Colorado to Commander Walker." "Walker here, is there a problem?" "No problem Commander, we have new guests. Prepare to transport back to the ship, come alone. And Commander, inform the landing party that they can recieve some guests." "Who can they expect." "Let's just say that they are Federation, anyway tell the crew to be alert." Commander Walker turns to Lieutenant Doran to give him the last instructions before he returns to the USS Colorado. "Lieutenant Doran, we have some new guests, be alert the Captain tells me that the USS Moon has arived. Keep me informed." "I'll inform the rest of the landing party, we'll send what we have on the devices." With these last instructions Commander Walker is ready to return to the USS Colorado. "One to been up." Upon arrival Commander Walker meets with the Captain and Admiral Steichen in Captain Harrison's ready room. The USS Moon also sends an away team to the planet Fortune to examine the devices. Admiral Steichen is very happy that the devices found on the planet Fortune have nothing to do with a doomsday weapon. And as the officers talk and exchange information time passes quickly. Admiral Steichen returns to her ship and orders to make preparations to leave this time frame. The USS Moon away team is transported back, with one of the Stiegl devices. Lieutenant Doran, who gets back on his feet reports to the USS Colorado. A few seconds later another time rift opens The USS Moon jumps into the time rift and is gone as well. Players: Johan Michielsens, Conny Parmentier USS Alice Cooper Admiral Viscount van den Coeckel entered the breefing room. He had called a meeting with his senior officers right away when he received a report from the USS Alice Cooper-B. "Ladies Gentlemen, please sit down. I have received a very disturbing message from the USS Alice Cooper-B which is in orbit of Angel One. Apparently the Cardassians and the Romulans are working together to start a take over of the planet Angel One. At this time it is unknown how severe the situation is, but we are the closest starbase to Angel One so I want battle ready reports on my desk in two hours. The USS Australia is also already on its way to Angel One. More information should come in very soon. Oh yes, and there is one other thing. Now that the Stiegl threat is almost gone, we fase a new threat. We cannot ignore this new threat. Maybe it is just a small thing, but maybe this is much bigger. You can imagine that other species in the Alpha Quadrant will take advantage of the situation sith the Stiegls. That is all. Dismissed." On Angel One the USS Alice Cooper away team has not yet discovered something new. The away team has found a place to hide. It is an old uninhabited house in a small forrest. It gives Ambassador Jas Stevens the chance to shut down his holographic generator. This way he can save energy and stay longer on Angel One, but unknown to the away team, four disciples of "The Rising Sons" have noticed there is something suspicious about the Starfleet away team. The four disciples have followed the away team to the abandoned house in the forrest. As soon as most of the awayteam members are asleep, the four men bust into the house pointing weapons to the away team. Although taken completely by surprise two security officers are able to escape through the windows and Ambassador Stevens still awake, the four disciples of "The Rising Sons" realise they don't have much time. All away team members are now awake and returning fire. But it is Gilly Corona herself who comes up with an idea. "Ambassador. You have told me you know a lot of matriarchale communities. You could pretend you are a captive, I mean our captive. You are a man, and you could join these terrorists to gain more information about how and where they will strike. That could be the end of it." Jelana Frankel-Stangya has heard what Gilly Corona has just said. And she agrees. This could be an unique opportunity. Ambassador Jas Stevens agrees with the plan. He will join the "The Rising Sons", which could provide you with more information about the Romulan/Cardassian plot. The Ambassador will have to improvise... Maybe say a lie or two... Players: Crew of the USS Alice Cooper Ovion (Hirogen Hunting Vessel) Delta Quadrant. The war between the Borg, Species 8472 and the Stiegls has ended. Species 8472 has returned to their home environment, leaving a lot of damage... A damaged Hirogen hunting vessel is at drift in the Kondari System... The last of the Stiegls are hiding somewhere in the Delta Quadrant... Horkan woke up, his head hurt. He did not know what had happened. Instinctively he looked around. The bridge of the ship looked like a war zone... The memories came back. They had been fighting against an alien prey they had never seen before. They were very sophisticated. Jotarn and Horkan had to destroy the alien ship in order to survive the battle. There had not been any trophy. The aliens called themselves the Stiegls. The prey was alone on his ship. This had not been a good hunt. Maybe they should have stayed in the holographic environment, but most of the Hirogen had already given that up. Then suddenly Horkan realised... "Jotarn ? Where are you ?" He heard a sounds behind him, more sounds, a lot of noise of falling materials... "I am here. I am all right." Slowly Jotarn got back up on his feet. He looked at Horkan. Both Hirogen hunters knew exactly what had happened. "Although we do not have a trophy, we had a good hunt. Maybe we will encounter some more of these prey. Then we will be better prepared." Both of them started to repair the damage and only a few hours later their ship, Ovion, was ready for battle again. Jotarn knew Horkan was right. And if these Stiegl preys would still be in this region, they would find one very fast. Just at the moment they looked at eachother again, the proximity alert sounded. It was a Stiegl vessel, probably responding to the distress calls of their friends. Horkan and Jotarn had exactly the same thought. "We have a new prey. Let's make this another good hunt. Let's get this pray." Players: Thomas van Rhee DS2 RPG General Status Report December 2004 USS Earth The USS Moon is in pursuit of the USS Methode, stolen by a Stiegl, apparently very powerful. Unknown to Captain Steichen and Admiral Steichen This Stiegl is none other than Stiegl High Leader Hindoria. No action will be taken yet, but Admiral Steichen wants to see where this Stiegl is heading and what his plans are. It is clear now to the USS Moon crew that they have come to the right time and right place. This is where it all starts. But more information is needed. "Admiral. Something is happening here..." "Can you be more specific Commander." Aboard the USS Methode Stiegl High Leader Hindoria is completely surprised what his sensors detect. Only a few seconds later the same kind of rift opens and pulls the USS Methode in. Whatever Hindoria tries, it fails. Even his force does not help. But not only the USS Methode is pulled into the rift. Also the USS Moon is pulled in. "Cloak. Cloak." When the sensors of the USS Methode are coming on line again Stiegl High leader Hindoria realises he is back in Steigl space. A Stiegl rebel called Lord Lamu has gotten the Stiegl High Leader back and now he will deal with the Stiegl High Leader to let him stop all Stiegl evil activity. Lord Lamu is gifted by a certain unexplainable force, which he used to pull Stiegl High Leader Hindoria back into Stiegl space, home galaxy of the Stiegls. "Admiral, there are a huge amount of Stiegl ships here. I strongly suggest we should leave." "We are cloaked Commander. Can they see us ?" "Apparently not Admiral. Otherwise I don't think we would be talking to eachother. I detect the USS Methode Admiral. I will tap into the USS Methode's systems to have a look what is going on on that ship. And there is something else, Admiral. The USS Thunderbolt is here too. It could be that the USS Thunderbolt and that Captain Mechels have something to do with all this. But I am afraid we are no match for the USS Thunderbolt. Battle is not recommended." "Let's keep our attention to the USS Methode. What is happening ? Put it on the main viewer." Aboard USS Methode, the Maquis renegade ship, This Lord Lamu appears right behind Hindoria. "So you are Lamu. I have been expecting you. When I have finished with you, I will show the entire Stiegl community your head. Then they know you are just another joker and not the liberator who they hope you to be. You will die today." But Lord Lamu is not impressed at all. He can only shake his head. "I don't know whether I should have mercy on you or not Hindoria. You have used your force so badly for such evil ways, that I don't know whether it is a good thing to have mercy on you. I think that all life is worth saving, but the destruction you have brought and will bring when you are alive, is beyond anyones comprehention. All of my force tells me that you are not alive anymore. You have become pure evil. And the devestation you will bring in the future has to be prevented. Good-bye Hindoria." It is silent for a few seconds. "Admiral, there is something you should know. This Lord Lamu, he is an assimilated Borg. Apparently he has been assimilated by the Borg aboard USS Thunderbolt." It seems that Hindoria alse has realised that Lord Lamu is much more than this man standing before him. It is as if an entire species is standing there, watching him. Hindoria realises that he cannot win, even if he destroys Lord lamu. But he has no choice. This is a fight to the death. Hindoria raises his energy sword and attacks. But lord Lamu does not react. He is hit by Hindorias sword in the chest, but nothing happens. Lamu is hit again, but nothing happens, and again and again. Hindoria starts beating Lord Lamu with his sword with so much anger that his body can no longer hold the preasure. While Hindoria hits Lord Lamu with his sword again and again, slowly his body gives up on him and totally crazy of insane anger and hate suddenly Hindoria drops his sword and falls next to his weapon. His own madness has killed him. Blood is coming out of his nose when he finally has stopped moving. Lord Lamu who has not even taken his own energy sword to defend himself, slowly picks up Hindorias sword and destroys it. It is a symbol of the defeat of the Stiegl High Leader. Almost immediately almost every Stiegl has heard about Lord Lamu and the death of High Leader Hindoria. Celebrations start spontaniously on almost every Stiegl planet. "Admiral. There is singing... Singing on all the Steigl ships as far as we can detect. I think we found the cause of all the Stiegl evil. It is like the Stiegls are celebrating... Admiral, there is something else. In our own Galaxy there is a Stiegl Doomship, an automated huge vessel with a weapon aboard that can destroy an entire galaxy. I don't see how we can stop it, even with our advanced technology." But Captain Steichen has an idea. "Try to contact this Lord Lamu, although he is apparently a Borg, he might help all of us to destroy or stop that Stiegl Doomship." Players: Christine Steichen Starbase 369 Major Lato in command of a captured Stiegl ship has arrived in the battlezone around the Stiegl Doomship. Almost immediately he gets contact with some of the crews aboard other captured Stiegl ships who use the Stiegl technology to get aboard the Stiegl Doomship. One of those officers who is already aboard the Stiegl Doomship is Lieutenant Commander Matz, a half Klingon-Human female officer who has begun a search of the Stiegl Doomeship from the inside. Major Lato uses the same technique and only a few minutes later major Lato and Lieutenant Commander Matz meet abord the Stiegl doomship to find a way to stop this ship and neutralize weapons and defensive systems. Meanwhile the fleet of Commodore Van Nieuwenhove prepares for either the evacuation of Starbase 369 or to battle the Stiegl Doomship. All of this is passing by for Commander Dunn, in command of the freighter USS Carry. Dunn has set course to Outpost 33 on planet Frinoda III to deliver supplies. Strange thing though is that the Stiegl Doomship also passes Outpost 33 on Frinoda III. Lieutenant Friso Hildebrand, in command of the outpost decides to evacuate the outpost with 14 scientists just to be sure everyone will be safe until this is over. When the USS Carry arrives Lieutenant Hildebrand explains his decision to Commander Dunn, who understands the young Lieutenant very well. And so a few hours later the USS Carry evacuates Outpost 33. After an intense search in the Stiegl Doomship, Major Lato and Lieutenant Commander Matz meet again. They have found the main propulsion system of the ship. The Stiegl spy Kozam recognizes the Stiegl main engine. Kozam explains that he can shut down the engine, but it seems to dangerous to him as the Stiegls probably have build in some kind of booby trap. Most likely the ship will explode and the galaxy will be destroyed if anyone tries to take control over this ship. But Lieutenant Commander Matz doesn't want to know all this. She takes her phaser and points it to mister Kozam. "You will stop this engine and this ship here and now." It is clear that mister Kozam, the Stiegl spy is scared to death. "I cannot do this now... I need several minutes at least..." Major Lato is completely surprised. Lato is the senior officer... "Commander Matz, what are you doing ? We have no idea what will happen if we try to manipulate systems on this ship. Only Kozam knows. We need more time. Put away that weapon. That is an order." But Lieutenant Commander Matz does not comply. Major Lato has no other choice than to contact Starbase 369 immediately. "Starbase 369. You don't have much time. We have some crazy officers here aboard the Stiegl Doomship. They want to do things that will result in the explosion of this ship. We have to eliminate them if we want to survive. I ask permission to fire." "You have the permission to use any means to prevent to explosion of the Stiegl Doomship. The fait of our galaxy is to inportant." Players: Geert Van Nieuwenhove USS Thunderbolt Escaped through his own portal Stiegl High leader Hindoria has traveled through time and space. In a strange twist of space and time Hindoria ends up on a planet called Fortune in the Earth year 1904, where the USS Moon, USS Colorado and a Maquis renegade ship, USS Methode are in orbit. Hindoria is able to escape from the USS Colorado security officers and uses his force to get the entire crew of the USS Methode on the surface of the planet Fortune. Before anyone can stop him, he opens a rift in the space time continuum and the USS Methode with him aboard enters subspace. But to the surprise of Stiegl High Leader Hindoria only a few seconds later the same kind of rift opens and pulls the USS Methode in. Whatever Hindoria tries, it fails. Even his force does not help. And while Lord Lamu transports himself to the Stiegl capital planet, the three Borg drones abaord the USS Thunderbolt call Captain mechels and his officers. The Borg drone called One addresses the senior staff. "Captain, this is not over yet. The Stiegls have peace, but through Lord Lamu who is now in our collective we have found out that there is a Stiegl class D ship on its way to the center of our galaxy. This Stiegl ship carries a weapon that will destroy our galaxy as soon as it arrives in the center of the galaxy. there is nothing you know that can stop this ship. But we can. You have to keep in mind that we are from the future. If our galaxy is destroyed, the Collective will be destroyed and we will not exsist. The same goes for your families. i suggest we travel back and destroy that Stiegl class D ship. That ship is running automaticly. There is no Stiegl crew aboard. We will stay in constant contact with Lord Lamu. If the Stiegls are ever a threat again, we will know about it. But at this moment that Stiegl class D ship is the only threat left in the entire universe." Most of the senior officers aboard the USS Thunderbolt are shocked. The idea of losing their families to an enemy weapon... an enemy they have just stopped in their own galaxy... They all suggest to Captain Mechels to stop this Stiegl Doomship. "How has it come to this. Aren't these people of our home galaxy able to stop this ship ? This is our chance to make demands. What will we ask in return for stopping this Stiegl Doomship ?" Players: Helena Straetman,Caroline Keuleers,Willem Keuleers, Lieselotte Keuleers, Wouter Keuleers USS Walang Two of the Trax accompany Countor to planet PP-499. The Trax species cannot be detected by any sensors or even visually. Althouhg apparently the Gnodes have a natural way of seeing the Trax, some of the federation officers aboard the USS Walang still have to get used to the presence of the Trax aboard their ship. Aboard the USS Walang the Trax wear a small device which indicates their position, but this device is now left on the ship by Countor and his two compagnons. The Trax will investigate the small Stiegl base on PP-499. It is the very first activity of Trax in a possible war situation ever in the Trax history. Not even the Gnode Husson has known about fighting by the Trax or even among themselves. Countor and his men fly low over the planet surface. Countor realises that if there is indeed Stiegl presence on the planet PP-499, the stiegls must have been able to detect the USS Walang as well. So time has become an important factor in this mission. Undetected do Countor and his men enter the Stiegl base. It is only a small base, with only a few small rooms and a larger hall in which a small Stiegl ship is on stand-by. This Stiegl base looks deserted for at least a year. Everywhere there is a lot of dust, and there are no traces of any precense of any Stiegls. One of the Trax is able to start up main power of the base and accesses the computer. Computer files indicate that this base was set up in case of an emergency. It was not meant to be manned at all. Countor decides to brake the communications silence and reports to the USS Walang. "Captain Hendriks. This is Countor. This Stiegl base is deserted for at least one year. According the computer files this base was not intended to be manned at all. according these files, this is a small operational base for one Stiegl, but this one Stiegl has been picked up by a larger Stiegl warship more than a year ago. The Stiegls must have been in a hurry, as they left without destroying this base which seems to me the reasonable thing to do. There is a small Stiegl ship here and they just left it. This Stiegl ship is still operational." It has become clear Countor knows more about war than expected... "Countor, first investigate if this Stiegl ship might be useful to us, if so, take it aboard so we can use its technology. But be quick about it. If possible examine the computer as well and download the data." Players: Marianne Loogen USS Strike Day 7 03.14 Major Lato and his team, send out by Commodore Van Nieuwenhove of Starbase 369 has joined Lieutenant Commander Matz in her search on the Stiegl ship to stop this Stiegl Doomship. In the team of Major Lato is a Stiegl rebel named Kozam. Day 7 05.23 After an intense search in the Stiegl Doomship, Major Lato and Lieutenant Commander Matz meet again. Day 7 05.29 But Lieutenant Commander Matz doesn't want to know all this. She takes her phaser and points it to mister Kozam and orders him to stop the engine of the Stiegl Doomship. Major Lato fails in convincing Matz to lower her weapon and he gets orders from Commodore Van Nieuwenhove to fire at Lieutenant Commander Matz if necessary. Commodore Van Nieuwenhove finds the faith of the Galaxy to important. Players: Nadine Peeters USS Iceberg few teams are already aboard the Stiegl Doomship, but they cannot decide how to stop this Stiegl Doomship. Even in these difficult times Federation officers argue among eachother which course of action they should take. Aboard the USS Iceberg preparations are made to prepare for the worst. Players: Jan Theys USS Colorado Just before the timrift closes, It is rather busy aboard the USS Colorado. Time is a luxuary Captain Harrison does not have. It is Lieutenant Doran who takes initiative. "Doran to Colorado, prepare to beam up landing party." "Standby!" Commander Walker realises there is little time, but the Maquis are still on the planet surface. "Captain what do with the Maquis." But Captain harrison seems to have made up his mind. "We don't have time for the Maquis, do what you can for them." Commander Walker has understood. "Mr Sonak see what we can spare, and beam it down to where the Maquis are!" "I will provide for two weeks." On the bridge Captain Harrison contacts Lieutenant Jones. "Harrsion to Lieutenant Jones please report to the bridge." "Jones here Captain, I just need some more time." But the Captain knows time is running out. "Lieutenant report the bridge, and tranfser what ever you have to bridge control." In the counting moments Lieutenat Doran has some good news. "Captain, the Stiegl came out of no where, but we recorded what he did on one of the devices. We may have his destination Captain." Commander Walker as always has his concerns. "Captain it might not be where the Moon or the Methode is hidding." There is little time, but Captain Harrison still wants opinions from Lieutenant Doran and Commander Walker. "What are you proposing?" The time rift is almost closed... There is only one sollution. Commander Walker makes a suggestion. "Maybe it's time to launch the Explorer, and persuit send the Colorado the coordinates that Lieutenant Doran has. And send the Explorer through the timerift, I can put a crew together of 50. The USS Explorer, carried by the USS Colorado was already on stand-by. It is launched with a crew of 50, including Commander Walker, Lieutenant Sonak, Lieutenant Doran and Lieutenant Ally Jones, who now is a mission specialist now. The USS Explorer enters the time rift. Time is up. The time rift closes. Aboard the USS Colorado Captain Harrison realises that what this time travel wa all about now seemed to have had its purpose. He orders to transport the Maquis of the planet Fortune and take them back to the the time frame the USS Colorado belongs. Captain Harrison realises that it is possible that he will not hear from the USS Explorer or Commander Walker, but he cannot wait in the year 1904. The risk of being discovered would be to big. After about an hour the USS Colorado is ready to leave. "Take us out of orbit. Prepare for time travel..." The USS Colorado arrives in its proper time only a few minutes later. Captain Harrison is informed by Starfleet Command about the situation with the Stiegls. Apparently the war with the Stiegls is over. There is only one problem to be dealth with. A Stiegl Doomship is on its way to the center of the galaxy. It is believed this Stiegl Doomship has a weapon aboard which can destroy the entire galaxy. Until now this Steigl Doomship cannot be stopped. An entire fleet of Klingon and Federation starships are firing weapons at the Doomship, but without much effect. There is nothing that seems to be able to stop this Stiegl Doomship. More Federation ships are joining the attackforce and even Starfleet officers have been able to capture Stiegl ships and use the Stiegl technology to transport aboard the Stiegl Doomship, but it seems that those officers are not able to stop the Stiegl Doomship... At the same time the USS Explorer jumps out of the time rift. Apparently the USS Explorer has arrived at a location far away from the home galaxy. Sensors detect a lot of Stiegl ships nearby. It is as Lieutenant Doran describes. "Commander, Stiegl attack ships, warships... We are doomed sir. There are hundreds of Stiegl ships within firing range in less than ten minutes. I don't see how we can survive here..." Players: Johan Michielsens, Conny Parmentier USS Alice Cooper A small group of men, running almost silently through the street looking around suspiciously. Without being noticed these five men enter a small house in a row of many. Once inside the lights go on and the large man with the beard waves with his hand as if he wants to say that the rest of the group can sit down. The beard is a sign of manhood, in this matriarchale society. As soon as the men have put their coats on there chairs they sit down, very disciplined, without a sound. It is then when the large man with the beard sits down that the members of this group start asking questions. "Is it true ? Did we recruit a traitor ?" "What do the Cardassians think of that. Is he trustworthy ?" "Is it true he is not from this world and that he was captured by the women ?" "Is he safe ?" "Enough questions gentlemen. This is Group One. We have more important things to do than speculate about a new recruit. First order of business is the attack on the Building of Liberty. We all agree that this building is the symbol of the fatc that not everyone is equal on this planet. We have received new and light explosives from the Romulans Who are in orbit. Yes yes, we know about the Fedeation ship in orbit and the other Federation ships which are on route to Angel One. They will not interfere. These Federation weaklings have their laws which forbids them to interfere and those laws are sacred to them. Anyway. The plan is to go tomorrow night. There will be no people in the Building of Liberty, so we don't have to worry that we will be discovered and we don't have to worry that someone innocent gets killed. So let's go over this one last time. Fiorst we..." There is a weak knock on the door. One of the men stands up, with one hand under his shirt he opens the door. He nodds with respect. Two men enter accompanied by two Cardassians... At the same time Ambassador Jas Stevens is escorted to a house in the same street, next to the house in which the meeting of "The Rising Sons". Unknown to Jas Stevens there is a group next door planning an attack on one of the most important buildings of the planet. But soon he will know. His three man strong escort has given Stevens something to eat. Because he is a man he is almost immediately trusted as if all men on Angel One have the same opinion about women and their way of dominating men. Unknown to "The Rising Sons" they are only the pawn of the cardassians and Romulans who are willing to sacrifice their lives for a certain cause. This cause is still unknown even to "The Rising Sons". After the meal the escort of Ambassador Stevens ask him to follow them to meet some of the leaders of "The Rising Sons". One of them openes a secret door in the wall and enters the room secret plan room where Group One has just received news from the Cardassian agents. When Ambassador Stevens enters the room he immediately recognises the two Cardassians. Luckily for Stevens the Cardassians do not recognise him as a spy... Players: Crew of the USS Alice Cooper Ovion (Hirogen Hunting Vessel) The Hirogen ship slowly moved into an attack position. The Stiegl ship didn't seem to notice the hirogen in any way. The Hirogen stealth mode was initiated. uddenly, without any warning, the Stiegl ship was under fire, totally unexpected, without any defensive systems activated. After the Stiegl ship was crippled, Jotarn grabbed his talon and transported on the Stiegl ship. But he was to late. The one Stiegl aboard was already dead. Jotran had no choice than to take some souvenirs. He returned to the Ovion where he presented his bounty to Horkan, who was rather pleased. They had been clever in this fight, but the prey had been weak. With a few shots Horkan destroyed the Stiegl ship after which he set course following the warp trail of the Stiegl ship. There had to be more of these preys closeby. But there was something else here in space that was more intersting. The Hirogen had never knwon where these Stiegls came from, but they knew that these Stiegls had been fighting the Borg, an enemy of the Hirogen, perhaps the most powerful one. This worried Jotarn a bit. These Stiegls were either stupid or they really think they could defeat the Borg. Apparently the Borg had won the big war with the Stiegls. Now the Hirogen, not only Horkan and Jotarn, could learn to fight against the remaining Stiegls. This would give them new ways of hunting and something to hunt for. These Stiegl preys would not be missed. But after a few hours a surprise awaits the two Hirogen hunters. Sensors detect an open wormhole. Another hour later the Hirogen hunter ship Ovion is parked at the mouth of the wormhole. "Our probe does not give us enough information. This wormhole leads far away. It is not certain we can go back." Horkan has his doubts as well. But this is a great chance to find new hunting grounds, but it is also a chance for a possible enemy greater than the Hirogen to eliminate the Hirogen once and for all... Both Hirogen Horkan and Jotarn decide to enter the wormhole... Players: Thomas van Rhee
