DS2 RPG General Status Report January 2011 Lorem The time to neutralize the Ori priors has come... Christine Steichen asks permission from the Lorem to interfere with the Ori activities. And the Lorem give that permission without asking questions. That is a bit strange as the Lorem always keep out of things and only observe the universe. But Christine takes the chance and transforms back to a Starfleet officer... To the crew of the USS Earth it is a great and pleasant surprise to see their Commodore again. Although Christine does not explain a lot. But the crew trusts her, especially first officer Commander T'Lok. The USS earth sets course to the coordinates where Ori prior Gnam will visit a planet. The device to take the Ori prior out of business is set and ready. An away team is transported to the planet. Leader of the team is Commodore Christine Steichen. Her first officer did not launche one single word of protest... A day later Gnam, the Ori prior arrives. At first he is a bit surprised to see new people aside of the local population, but he doesn't seem to think to much of it. But when the moment comes the population rejects the Book of Origin and everything the Ori stand for, he wants to destroy them all, but when he tries, nothing happens. A moment later the Ori prior Gnam is stunned and falls down. A medical team has taken the unfortunate Gnam and give him an injection to restore his original DNA. Several hours later Gnam is no longer an Ori prior. The device was a great success. But Gnam still worchips the Ori and is therefore locked up aboard the USS Earth. It is still strange that Commander T'Lok let Christine handle this without even asking a question. It is not a habit of a first officer and certainly not T'Lok to try everything possible to prevent his commanding officer to get in a dangerous situation. But before Christine asks T'Lok about that, T'Lok explains already. "Commodore. A day before you came back aboard I found a written letter on my desk in my quarters. Nobody can enter my quarters except me and Chief of Security Lieutenant Commander Ulo Hung and Hung only in cases of emergency. I checked all other possibilities. The letter told me to expect you and do exactly what you wanted without asking any questions. The letter was written by myself. There were traces of my DNA on the letter. As I understand it I wrote this letter myself with knowledge of what the future would bring. Maybe I even wrote it in the future and somehow delivered it in my quarters. Now this is all over there are more Ori priors waiting to be neutralized. I am standing ready to assist you." Before Christine can answer she receioves a telepathic message from the Lorem. Apparently the Lorem have not been very honest. They are in a war against the Ori, and the Lorem are not exactly winning... Players: Christine Steichen 369th Fleet Commodore Van Nieuwenhove knows what to do and he wants to continue the hunt of the Ori priors and a second team follow the Borg. Commodore Van Nieuwenhove sends the USS Harbour and USS Energy to help our the victims of the USS Sunrise and continue to get an Ori prior. The USS Wexico and the frighter USS Carry, keep following the Borg. After a few days the Borg seem to have found an Ori ship. "Commodore Van Nieuwenhove. The Ori ship has transported one person to the planet nearby sir. I presume it is the Ori prior. The Borg sir. They are transporting drones on the Ori ship sir through the Ori shields sir. They must have addapted already sir. I guess they are taking advantage of the absence of the Ori prior sir. To be honest sir, I don't want to be on that Ori ship right now..." There is a moment of silence. everyone knows what the Borg do when they board a ship... Then a new message comes in from the USS Energy. It is a very short message send by a message buoy: USS Energy, Captain Robbert Stow... USS Energy, USS Harbour destroyed by Ori ships. Only a few survivors escaped with the escape pods. Players: Geert Van Nieuwenhove USS Thunderbolt The idea of Master One is rather simple. "Without the Ori prior abaord the Ori ship of prior Dunee is vulnurable. The ship itself cannot be assimilated. The Ori prior can only be assimilated if he is neutralized with the device. But the crew and soldiers aboard are just humanoids. They can easily be assimilated. By assimilating them into the collective you will share their thoughts and know everything they know, maybe even the central base of the Ori priors if there is such a base." Commodore Mechels does not need much time think about that. "Do it! Assimilate them! Assimilate the crew of the Ori ship! Do it now before the Ori prior returns!" The infiltrated drones disrupt the shields of the Ori ship. In a few seconds the Ori ship is overrun by Borg drones. In a few minutes the Ori crew and soldiers are assimilated. Master One reports. "Commodore Mechels, we have new information about the location of a gateway which connects our galaxy and the galaxy of the Ori. We also have new information on the Ori technology. We can now neutralize the power of the Ori prior and assimilate him." Players: Helena Straetman,Caroline Keuleers,Willem Keuleers, Lieselotte Keuleers, Wouter Keuleers USS Walang Captain Hendriks informs her senior officers about the possibility that people in Starfleet are willing to do everything to get their hands on the technology of the Zolo, the Kirie, the Trsterts and the Hunanan. And therefore she has extra orders for her officers and crew. "We will not tell the Zolo, the Kirie, the Trsterts and the Hunanan about the fact that some humans back home want to steal their technology. There is no way these people can get to this region of space within 15 years or so. We will report something suspicious to Admiral Danny Benturia of Starfleet Security. For the time being, they need not know someone is after their knowledge. We will tell them when and if necessary, but we will not wait for the last minute. They too need time to prepare for trouble. It may never come though." A few days later talks between the Zolo, the Kirie, the Trsterts and the Hunanan reveal there is another very old sophisticated species not to far away from the Hunanan home planet. They called themselves Musks. But the Musks are extremely shy. As an outsider Captain hendriks is asked by the Zolo, the Kirie, the Trsterts and the Hunanan to go to the Musks and ask them to join the old species in harmony. Players: Marianne Loogen USS Vertigo Day 226 04.31 The USS Vertigo arrives at the homeplanet of the Xnor, escorting the Henna. The Xnor are very thankful. Day 226 09.12 Apparently the Xnor and the Sjor are in dispute over areas of space. But the Sjor have already occupied those regions and the Xnor have given up hope to get their territory back. Day 226 10.00 Senior staff meeting. The USS Vertigo will stay in orbit of the Xnor homeplanet for a few days. Players: Nadine Peeters USS Iceberg General Crow and his crew are getting closer to the Ori priors. "There are 7 Ori priors. We have the coordinates and the time where they will show up. We will setup an ambush on those planets for them and neutralize them with the devices. We will capture them and let our medical teams heal them so they get back to their original state. We'll make seven away teams as soon as Atad has made the seventh device. Then of we go and capture the Ori Priors and hope we can capture them without any casualties on either side. Hopefully we can extract information about the Priors ships. We'll see what the future holds." The first target is in sector 15496. The plan is simple. An away team will be transported to the planet a few days before the Ori prior arrives. The USS Iceberg will leave and stay hidden for the Ori when they arrive. And so it happens. Just before the away team is sent to the planet a message comes in from the USS Earth. With the same tactic the crew of the USS Earth has neutralized an Ori prior and captured him. And that tactic works indeed. The Starfleet marines of the USS Icberg just have to wait. On the third day the Ori prior is transported from his ship to the planet. He is neutralized with the device and captured rather easily. But there is still an Ori ship in orbit... Players: Jan Theys USS Atlantis Day 100 Aboard the USS Arlington a message is received as Yorlan reports. "Commander T'pau, I have faint message coming through. It has a Starfleet signal." "Can you pinpoint its origin." "Yes T'pau, even bitter I have the coordinates." ----------------------------------------------------------- Aboard the USS Atlantis Captain Walker wants to know the status. "Report!" Commander Sonak reports. "Battleships patrols report closing in on the coordinates, no any enemy vessels approaching at this moment." "Maintain position, and keep the ship on red alert. T'nak are you sure your scans pick nothing." "Yes Captain." "Keep scanning. Annaka is this the position for the aray?" And there is still a ship searching for the missing ships. Players: Johan Michielsens, Conny Parmentier USS Alice Cooper Ambassador Jas Stevens seems to be in some kind of trance and images change very rapidly. Aboard the USS Alice Cooper-B everything has returned to daily routine although the threat of powerful aliens is still there... Players: Crew of the USS Alice Cooper Ovion (Hirogen/Ori Hunting Vessel) Horkan needs another plan. He also needs to make some changes in the past of the other players in this galaxy, like the Klingons, Romulans, even Cardassians. But when Horkan is back on his ship, there is no sign of communications in the entire region. But Horkan receives another message from the Ori themselves. There are now only five Ori priors in the galaxy teaching the Book of Origin and the Path to Salvation. The situation seems to get worse for the Ori. Reinforcements are needed... Unknown to Horkan he is in the wrong past... Players: Thomas van Rhee Earth Alliance Starship (EAS) Terradyne Sixty-two men stepped closer to eachother. "They seem to be everywhere and their numbers are clearly increasing." "This is getting ridiculous sir. We seem to be losing more and more." "Yes, I seem to remember that a few days ago there were almost eighty of us. This calls for an emergency alert. Call all reserves. All." All agreed and left. Players: Steve Elliot DS2 RPG General Status Report February 2011 Lorem Although the Lorem are in trouble in their war against the Ori, Christine decides to construct a new device and continue neutralizing Ori priors. The USS Earth is moving to the next known location where an Oi prior is expected, Nomsra II. The journey will take 7 days, but that is still plenty of time to construct a new device. The USS Earth is sceduled to arrive at Nomsra II two days before the Ori prior will arrive. The crew can prepare itself. But after three days... "Sir, sensors detect an Ori ship heading towards us on an intercept course." "Try to contact the Ori ship and try to find out what their intentions are. We cannot win a fight against such a ship. So we can still run if they are planning to destroy us." "Aye sir. Sir we have contact with the Ori prior aboard the Ori ship sir." "On screen." On the main vieuwer an Ori prior appears. "I am prior Flacon. We do not plan to harm you. I only want to talk to Christine Steichen. Please let me come aboard your ship to explain further. I need to talk to Christine Steichen about the war of the Ori against the Lorem." There is a moment of silence... Players: Christine Steichen 369th Fleet Commodore Van Nieuwenhove is losing ships rapidly. "We cannot fight the Borg. We will pick up the survivors of the USS Sunrise." The USS Mexico and USS Carry speed up to the last known location of the destroyed ships of the 369th fleet, leaving the Borg and the Ori ship behind. When the two ships arrive at the designated coordinates, there is indeed nothing much left of the ships, but debris. Scanning reveals a large number of escape pods and a few shuttlecraft with survivors. It takes almost an entire day to pick up all the survivors. There is nothing more to be done than return to the nearest starbase, Starbase 17, to drop of all those survivors. But on its way to Starbase 17, sensors detect an Ori ship. But the Ori ship is on a course away from the USS Mexico and USS Carry. Apparently the Ori are not interested, do not detect the two Federation ships, or have more important things to do... Players: Geert Van Nieuwenhove USS Thunderbolt The Borg are now able to neutralize an Ori prior as well. The orders for the collective are obvious. "Try to find other Ori priors. Now that we have addapted to the Ori technology, you can assimilate or destroy the Ori ships easily." There are still 5 Ori priors in this realm. By assimilating one of them, the Borg have found the origin of the invasion of the Ori. It is a super gateway, a huge ring in space where spaceships can go through from one universe to another... When the huge Borg fleet arrives at the Ori gateway, there are about 60 Ori ships coming through. Master One and Master two look at eachother. They share the same thought. Master One takes the lead and smiles. "These Ori ships are easy to assimilate now. But why don't we do this like we did when we were young?" "We are the borg. Lower your shields and prepare to be boarded. You will be assimilated to serve us. If you do not comply, you will be destroyed. Resistance is futile. We are the borg. Lower your shields and prepare to be boarded..." Players: Helena Straetman,Caroline Keuleers,Willem Keuleers, Lieselotte Keuleers, Wouter Keuleers USS Walang The USS Walang is traveling to the last known location of the Musks. If Captain Hendriks can find the Musks she will try to convince them to join the Zolo, the Kirie, the Trsterts and the Hunanan. "There might be much to learn." But when the USS Walang arrives at the planet of the Musks, there is no life on the planet. Away teams are send to the planet, but the only things they find are very old ruins, broken statues, and all kinds of very old equipment. Thes earch for clues continues for three days and just when it seems all traces to the Musks are lost and the Musk civilization seems to have been ended a young geologist finds an electronic news board where there is information about the destiny of the Musks. Apparently the Musks have left their home planet for reasons unknown to another suitable planet... Players: Marianne Loogen USS Vertigo Day 227 10.00 Exactly 24 hours after the arrival in orbit of the Xnor the USS Vertigo crew have found out that the Xnor and the hostile Sjor are related. Apparently the ancestors of the Xnor were once living on the homeplanet of the Sjor sharing it in peace. Day 227 11.24 As the Xnor and the Sjor are related and maybe even some of them are family, Commodore Slater calls for a senior staff meeting to find a permanent sollution to the hositlities between the Sjor and the Xnor. Day 227 11.37 Chief of Security Lieutenant Commander Matz suggests to bring the Sjor and Xnor back together in peace. Players: Nadine Peeters USS Iceberg General Crow and his Starfleet marines have neutralized an Ori prior. General Crow gives his orders. "We will take the crew of the Ori ship prisoners. We can use the ship to fool the other Ori ships. With an Ori ship in hand we could study it and find out more about the Ori. Also we stand stronger against the other Ori if something should happen. And yes it fouls the other Ori in believing we're the same. We will see what happens." The USS Iceberg uses tachyon bursts so the Ori have to remodulate their shields and at that moment Starfleet marines are transported aboard the Ori ship. The Ori soldiers are outnumbered and outgunned and the battle for the ship does not take long. All Ori soldiers are locked up. It is Atad who makes a study of the ship and in a few minutes he explains how it works: weapons, propulsion, life support... Only an hour after the take over of the Ori ship, the Ori ship is already at warp aside of the USS Iceberg. Apparently the Ori ships can use a transwarp hyperdrive to travel over great distances in a short time. But the system is not compatible with Federation technology. At the next location, Klomsyd III, there is already an Ori ship in orbit. But sensors indicate there is no Ori prior aboard, but there is no Ori prior on the planet Klomsyd III. Apparently this is an Ori ship without an Ori prior in command... Players: Jan Theys USS Atlantis Day 100 The search for the USS Atlantis USS Elpaso and USS Arlington finally has some success. The crew of the USS Paladin, conducting the search can only cheer when they finally hear the voice of Commander T'Pau, in command of the USS Arlington. "USS Paladin this Commander T'Pau of the scout ship Arlington, I am sending you our co-ordinates to rendezvous." ------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 100 Patrols are reporting in to the USS Atlantis. "T'Lan to Atlantis, my scans have pick two large objects. They appear to be silos of some sort, I am proceeding to investigate." "T'Lan, this is the captain. Before you engage scan area for hostiles." Anakaa has an interesting remark. "Captain the silos could be held to fuel ships. I am curtain there are patrols nearby, this a region of Elementals captain." Captain Walker reacts. "Hostiles!" "Yes captain, they control the passage to the array. But they would not leave the silos behind unless!!! Atlantis to patrol, stay alert." Another report comes in from Talnok, conducting one of the patrols. "Delta patrol to Atlantis, we have found a planet, scans shows starfleet signatures. It could be the missing patrols. Atlantis please advice on how to proceed." Players: Johan Michielsens, Conny Parmentier USS Alice Cooper The world around Ambassador Jas Stevens has become weird. It is as if he has been poisened with a chemical that makes him halucinate. A species called the Kraken is trying to help, but they have not been able to make contact with the Ambassador in his dream world. The USS Alice Cooper-B the first Ori activity is detected... Players: Crew of the USS Alice Cooper Ovion (Hirogen/Ori Hunting Vessel) Horkan has received word from the Ori themselves. There are now only five Ori priors in the galaxy teaching the Book of Origin and the Path to Salvation. The situation seems to get worse for the Ori. Reinforcements are needed... Unknown to Horkan he is in the wrong past... So when he starts his search for suitable candidates to become an Ori prior, he only finds primitive animals on the inhabited planets, where there should be human, Klingon or even Cardassian colonies. Some of the planets on his map do not even contain life... Players: Thomas van Rhee Earth Alliance Starship (EAS) Terradyne 103 men and women stepped closer to eachother. There was a lot of whispering... "Silence please. I am getting frustrated by the low number of us returning. after missions." "Sir we need a full scale attack force. There are more Shadows than expected." "I agree sir. We need more..." "Yes yes yes. We can only use a full attack force when we are up against a large Shadow invasion. These Shadows are spread all over. We cannot move an army for full attack force around just to eliminate a few of them. We need to expand our hunting groups." Again there was a lot of whispering. "There is no other way. Expand your teams." All agreed and left. Players: Steve Elliot DS2 RPG General Status Report March 2011 Lorem Christine Steichen lets Ori prior Flacon come aboard the USS Earth. The device is used to take away Flacon powers and neutralise his technology to protect the ship and crew. Ori prior Flacon does not seem to mind and does not resist. Then Christine lets him talk. "I am Flacon. I used to live on a planet called Jenarola. Most of my people have been killed as they resisted the enslavement of the Ori. Only a few survived, including me. Since then I have planning revenge. They made me an Ori prior, but they did not know I can resist. It takes a lot of effort, but when I am far away from the Ori themselves, like now, it is easier. I know your ship is no match for mine, and I know it is very difficult to believe me and to trust me, but know that with one word, your ship would have been destroyed. The Ori themselves do not live in this realm. They trust their Ori priors to take over this realm. But I took this opportunity to find people who would oppose the Ori. Even when they do not have the technology they need to do that. You have a device that neutralizes our technology, but only for one man. You have no defence against an Ori ship. But I need your help and I am sure you can use my help. So this is what I suggest. JOin me on my ship and I will take you to the master gate which is the connection between our realms. Their we will destroy the master gate. We cannot do that alone. We need help from an advanced species like the Lorem to do this. If you accept, you must know the journey will take 2 months on my ship, almost six months with yours. You, Christine Steichen, will be in command of my ship. There is only one thing. You have to give me my powers back by shutting down your device. Without my powers, I will lose my credebility aboard my own ship and my soldiers will most likely turn against us. Most of them will follow me, whatever I do, but some might start asking questions. We don't want that." Players: Christine Steichen 369th Fleet The USS Mexico and USS Carry are in pursuit of an Ori ship. "Follow the Ori ship. I will ask Starfleet for reinforcements like a new starbase and some more ships as well. We need at least 50 ships to destroy one Ori ship..." Starfleet Command knows about the seriousness of the situation and will take every chance to eliminate the Ori threat. While the USS Mexico and USS Carry follow the Ori ship a large fleet of 61 ships is deployed and send to join the USS Mexico. Commodore Van Nieuwenhove only has to wait for the large fleet to arrive at his coordinates to order a course of action. After several hours the large fleet moves towards the Ori ship. It is time for action. Commodore Geert Van Nieuwenhove gives his orders... Players: Geert Van Nieuwenhove USS Thunderbolt The Borg are confronted by 60 Ori ships coming through the supergate from the Ori realm. But apparently the Ori underestimate the Borg, who already have addapted to the Ori shields and weapons. When the Ori ships attack the Borg ships are not damaged at all. But the Borg do not return fire. The Collective has a different plan. The call is repeated... "We are the borg. Lower your shields and prepare to be boarded. You will be assimilated to serve us. If you do not comply, you will be destroyed. Resistance is futile. We are the borg. Lower your shields and prepare to be boarded..." Players: Helena Straetman,Caroline Keuleers,Willem Keuleers, Lieselotte Keuleers, Wouter Keuleers USS Walang The USS Walang is searching for an ancient species called the Musks. Aboard are also representatives of the Kirie, Scaton Federation, Trsterts, Zolo and Hunanan. But when the USS Walng arrives at the Musks home plnet, the planet seems to be evacuated and the Musks have moved to another planet. The reason why the Musks had to evacuate their planet is unknown. he Kirie, Trsterts, Zolo and Hunanan are doing everything they can to decipher the data they have to determine where the Musks have been moved to. Players: Marianne Loogen USS Vertigo Day 227 14.13 A message to the Xnor and to the Sjor that they are related and that they have the same ancestors is shocking for both species, but for the XNor it explains a lot. Their myths and legend stories tell the story about a huge exodus. Nobody ever understood where the stories came from and from where the Xnor were fleeing from, but now all of the pieces of the puzzle of the pâstof the Xnor come together. Day 228 07.14 The messages from the Xnor to start diplomatic relations with the Sjor and renew their long forgotten relation are ignored by the Sjor. But the Sjor fleet has come to a full stop in between the Sjor home planet and the Xnor home planet. That is considered a good sign. Day 229 04.22 When the news came out that the Xnor and the Sjor are related, a large group of people on the Sjor home planet have gathered before the palace of the Sjor president. They demand more information and demand to stop the hostilities with the Xnor... Players: Nadine Peeters USS Iceberg "There are still 5 Ori priors. You have the coordinates and the time where they will show up. We will continue to setup an ambush on those planets for them and neutralize them with the devices. We will capture them and let our medical teams heal them so they get back to their original state." In orbit of Klomsyd III the USS Iceberg detects an Ori ship without Ori prior aboard. While the officers aboard the USS Iceberg think about what to do next, Atad has a technical report on the Ori ship. "Sir, that Ori ship is clearly heavily damaged..." Before Atad can finish his sentence, a distress call from the Ori ship is received. "This is the Ori ship Nethering. There has been an accident on our ship. Our prior has not survived the accident. We need immediate help. The ship is going to explode in a few hours. Please help us." Players: Jan Theys USS Atlantis Finally the crew of the crew of the USS Paladin can inform Starfleet Command they have found the USS Arlington Which has been missing now for a long time. But there is one problem... The three ships, USS Arlington, USS Elpaso and USS Atlantis have traveled throuh a wormwhole and the Captain of the USS Paladin is not sure whether he wants to travel through that wormhole as well. There is a possibility his ship will be missing too. So he contacts Commander T'Pau, in command of the USS Arlington. "This is USS Paladin for Commander T'Pau of the scout ship Arlington. We have received your coordinates. We are very happy that we have found you. Do you need assistance?" -------------------------------------------------------- Aboard the USS Atlantis things seem to come together, but maybe not everything is like it seems. Delta patrol has discovered Starfleet signals and Captain Walker is still waiting for a new report. Players: Johan Michielsens, Conny Parmentier USS Alice Cooper Ambassador Jas Stevens seems to be halucinating and sees all kinds of things which cannot be real but seem real to him. The Kraken are trying to get Ambassador Stevens back in the real world, but it will be a long time before there is some kind of recovery. While Ambassador Stevens is not really sure where he is, the USS Alice Cooper-B has its first encounter with an Ori ship. But Captain Kalee knows what to do. He invites the Ori prior aboard his ship, pretending he and his crew want to convert to the ways of the Ori. As soon as the Ori prior is aboard the device is activated to neutralize his powers and technology... Players: Crew of the USS Alice Cooper Ovion (Hirogen/Ori Hunting Vessel) While Ori prior Horkan is searching in the past to be able to convert species easily, he ends up in the wrong time frame. In the current time nothing has changed. The Ori priors are neutralised and there is even a danger that the supergate, the connection between the Ori realm and the Alpha Qudrant will be discovered. But all of this is unknown to Ori prior Horkan, who still tries to find a sollution to convert or destroy people as the Ori have ordered him. But due to the danger to the Ori in the current time frame, the Ori make contact with Horkan in the past... The super gate which the Ori use to transport ships and people to this realm, is probably under a great threat of the Federation. the Ori themselves cannot defend the gate... Horkan decides to return to his ship, stay in this time period and build a super gate in the past... Players: Thomas van Rhee Earth Alliance Starship (EAS) Terradyne 204 men and women stepped closer to eachother. The discussions between them were very confusing, loud and seem to be only noise... "Silence please. Silence please!! So many have not returned... But we had some success in destroying Shadow units. So we are getting into this better and better." "But Sir, there are so many more. We need much more people. During some missions we were totally outnumbered. I suggest a full strenght attack force..." "I agree with the lieutenant here sir. We need more..." "We all know the Earth President and the Centauri emperor are the victims of the Drakh. It will take caution to proceed. There is a possibility that the Drakh will manipulate those leaders so they will be able to put them up against us or even eachother. Only some of the humans and Centauri have actually seen that the Earth President and the Centauri emperor are the victims of the Drakh. At this moment I don't think they will be believed. That is why we have to continue these kind of covert operations." Again there was a lot of noise. "I know how you feel. But at this time we do not have much of a choice. You must all see that." All agreed and left. Players: Steve Elliot DS2 RPG General Status Report April 2011 Lorem The ori prior Flacon aboard offers his services to the USS Earth crew. Christine Steichen decides to trust Flacon. "I will join the Ori prior on his ship escorted by security. I will allow him to get his powers back and let him go to the master gate: the connection between the realm of the Ori and the realm of our own realm, which includes the realm of the Lorem. I will ask the Lorem for help to destroy the master gate. We must remember it is a long way to the master gate and anything can happen during the journey..." Prepared as good as they can, Christine joins Ori prior Falcon with six security officers. Aboard she immediately has contact with the Lorem as well. A representative of the Lorem appears aboard the Ori ship. He has a good look at Ori prior Flacon. "Good. I am Kiandor. I will help." A moment later the Ori ship moves beyond any possible speed followed by the USS Earth, just by the will of the Lorem Kiandor. It seems as if only minutes have passed when the ships come to a full stop in front of a huge ring in space. The ring is big enough for an Ori ship to pass through. But the ring seems to be a dead object in space. It doesn't seem to be powerd. The Lorem Kiandor explains. "The Gateway is not active. I have the sequence to activate it, but also a way to destroy it..." Players: Christine Steichen 369th Fleet Commodore Geert van Nieuwenhove is now in command of 63 ships. His flag ship is the USS Mexico. The fleet is on the point of attacking an Ori ship... "We will fight the Ori ship until we die or until we are captured, or until it surrenders. We will try to take prisoners." The Commodore's orders are clear. And so the attack on the Ori ship begins. It is not easy to let the fleet move at the same time. Starfleet ships can only take three or four hits from an Ori ship. But Commodore Van Nieuwenhove is a brilliant strategist. He keeps the fleet out of the Ori firing range until all ships are in position to attack all at the same time. All ships attack. Torpedoes and phasers are firing all at the same time. The Ori ship fires a few shots, then the shields collapse. The Ori ship is destroyed in 52 seconds. Only three ships have moderate damage... After the battle Commodore Van Nieuwenhove receives new coordinates from Starfleet. These coordinates are locations another Ori ship. But the coordinates are out of Federation space... Players: Geert Van Nieuwenhove USS Thunderbolt We are the borg. Lower your shields and prepare to be boarded. You will... The 60 Ori ships coming through the supergate apparently do not understand... Commodore Mechels in command of a serious Borg fleet has no time for endless discussions. "If the Ori ships resist we will assimilate them, then we will go through the gateway and invade the Ori realm." And so the battle begins. 60 Ori priors on 60 Ori ships are neutralized by small groups of Borg drones transported aboard the Ori ships. For a moment the Ori soldiers aboard their ships are helpless, but seeing the Borg drones, they can only asume the Borg are creatures from hell. They fire their weapons, even fight with swords and axes, but without effect. More and more Borg drones are invading the Ori ships and more and more Ori soldiers are assimilated. After twenty minutes of hopeless battle against the Borg fleet the first Ori ships are getting assimilated by the Borg drones aboard their ships. The Borg work very efficient. They take over weapons, shields, propulsion... An hour later all Ori ships and crews have been assimilated and connected to the Collective. With the new information of the Orie priors and soldiers, the huge fleet travels through the supergate, the gateway to the Ori realm. But apparently the settings of the gateway have been altered. This does not seem the place where the Ori ships came from. Upon investigation this realm is rather primitive. Maybe the Ori can change their realm. Maybe they are hiding here somewhere... Players: Helena Straetman,Caroline Keuleers,Willem Keuleers, Lieselotte Keuleers, Wouter Keuleers USS Walang On the Musks home planet it is clear that the Musks had to leave their planet. Captain Hendriks has an issue. "First we will try to find the reason for the evacuation of the planet and then try to find the Musks. Where have they gone too?" Expeditions are set down on the planet, including crewmembers of the USS Walang, officers of the Scaton federation, the Trsterts, Zolo and Hunanan. The few Kirie who have come on this mission patrol space and try to find something in and from space. It doesnt't take long for the extreme good hunters and trackers from the Hunanan people to find something. They find some artifacts which they show the Trsterts. Both know what those artifacts are all about. These are made by people who worship the Ori. There must have been an Ori prior on this planet. That is probably also the reason why the Musks have left. The Musks are very independent, but they do not make war. They always had several ways to escape from any danger. As soon as the news of the presence of the Ori is spead all over the USS Walang, Captain Hendriks calls for a meeting. The lead Hunanan hunter explains for those who are not familiar with the Ori. "The Ori are ascended energy beings who live by the worshipping of people. The send out Ori Priors who teach the way of salvation and read from the Book of origin. If the people do not willing to convert and worship the Ori, the ori prior eliminates the entire population or even destroys the planet. The Ori priors are genetically altered humanoids who have advanced technology. Don't worry, we have a serous amount of tricks to counter the Ori. The Musks also have technology to do that, but they are not the fighting kind. They rather flee than fight. That is probably what they have done. In these circomstances I don't think they have left any tracks to their new home planet. But we will continue the search. We did find traces of an Ori prior. We can track him down." Players: Marianne Loogen USS Vertigo Day 230 11.23 The Xnor and the Sjor have finally madre contact with eachother. They both agree to meet. Day 236 18.00 A delegation of the Sjor and the Xnor meet abaord the USS Vertigo, which is considered neutral ground. Day 237 07.41 The Xnor and Sjor delegations have not reached any agreement yet. But Commodore Slater is hopeful. Players: Nadine Peeters USS Iceberg Close to Klomsyd III the crew of the USS Iceberg detect a heavily damaged Ori ship called Nethering, which sends out a distress call. Apparently the Nethering will blow in a few hours. General Crow does not hesitate. "We'll help them no matter what. We're marines we dont leave anybody behind. If they can help us good if not no problem we will help them and move on." The USS Iceberg contacts the Ori ship Nethering. At first there is no answer, but after a few minutes a few men and women appear on the main viewer. "Please save us. We are doomed. The Ori prior is no more and we need help fast." Atad confirms that the Ori ship cannot be saved. Only the crew on the ship can be saved by transporting them aboard the USS Iceberg. Atad has already prepared two cargo bays to receive the Ori soldiers aboart the Ori ship Nethering. General Crow suggests to the Ori soldiers to transport them aboard. But then the Ori soldiers start a discussion among themselves. A large part of the Ori crew does not want to become prisoners. But another part of them who do not care so much about the Ori, assemble in a cargobay aboard the Ori ship Nethering and ask to be saved and transported aboard the USS Iceberg. There are only 406 out of 900 who have chosen to be rescued. All the others did not. The 406 could only be saved although there was so much confusion abaord the Ori ship Nethering. But the 406 are safe, at least alive. General Crow does a last attempt to convince the other Ori soldiers to come over and be saved, and with success. When the Ori ship is falling apart and some explosions are already occuring, the rest of the Ori crew is saved and transported into the cargobay, where they receive food and medicins. Some of the Ori officers ask to speak to General Crow. They cannot stop thanking the General and they offer him their help in battling the Ori priors. Apparently they were all forced to help the Ori. If not, the Ori prior would have destroyed them and their planet. Players: Jan Theys USS Atlantis At Starfleet Command the first report from the USS Paladin about the missing USS Arlington and USS Elpaso. Players: Crew of the USS Alice Cooper Ovion (Hirogen/Ori Hunting Vessel) Far away in the past a gatway to the Ori realm is built by the Ori prior Horkan. The Ori hope this way to change the timeline. But as the building of the gateway is going slowly the Ori have all the time they want. There is no danger that they will be discovered. When finally the gateway is completed it is powered up. And it doesn't take long before the first Ori ship comes through. But it is not a ship that Horkan expected... Players: Thomas van Rhee Earth Alliance Starship (EAS) Terradyne 413 men and women stepped closer to eachother. There was loud talking and even cheering because some of them had not seen eachother for some time. The leader of the group had some difficulties to get everyone to calm down. "So we had our first successes. Although the costs were high. I will distribute a new tactic we will use from now on." Padds were distributed. Comments were given. The new tactical plan was not altered. "Let's go. This is a good plan. Move out." All agreed and left. Players: Steve Elliot DS2 RPG General Status Report May 2011 Lorem With the help of Ori prior Flacon and Lorem Kiandor the Ori ship and the USS Earth have arrived at the major gateway connection between the Ori realm and the Federation realm. Christine decides not to destroy the gateway. "This is it. The Gateway... We will go through it and try to find the Ori themselves with the help of the Lorem and Flacon. If we find them we will try to destroy the Ori..." The Lorem Kiandor nodds. He closes his eyes. The huge ring in front of the two ships lights up and starts to turn around. With every turn a symbol of the ring lights up until nine symbols are lit. Then a huge energywave comes out of the ring, bounces back and finally the gateway is open. The Ori ship followed by the USS Earth enter the gateway. Just before the USS Earth enters, Commander T'lok orders to leave a message buoy behind with all data on the gateway. Once through the gateway the ships are again under control of the Lorem Kiandor. In only thirty minutes the ships have crossed almost half the realm of the Ori. Some of the officers aboard the USS Earth would have liked to explore ths realm a bit slower, but Kiandor explains that there is not much to see. The realm is not developed. The Ori are evil and there is no way any life form can evolve to a state where they can explore other ways than those of the Ori. And then the ships enter orbit of a small moon. The planet is covered by a massive jungle. In the middle of the jungle there is a small building which looks like a temple. Kiandor explains that that building is a contact point for the Ori to speak with the Ori directly. Then next to Kiandor a device appears. Kiandor explains that that device will destroy the Ori. The only thing they have to do is activate the device. A small team, including two security officers, Christine, the Lorem Kiandor and the Ori prior Flacon transports to the entrance of the temple. Slowly they enter the structure, following Kiandor, who seems to know the way. After a few minutes the group enters a large room with in the middle a round pit. In the pit there seems to be a fire. Kiandor explains that those are the Ori in their real form. Standing around the pit, There are four Ori priors. They turn around. One of them speaks. "Are you here the worship the Ori?" But Kiandor explains to the Ori priors that he only whishes to speak with the Ori. Without any interuption of the Ori priors Kiandor and the rest of the group may step forward. When they are rather close, a roar from deep in the pit is heard. "Kill them." The Ori priors wave their staff, but nothing happens. Unknwon to the rest of the team the Ori prior Flacon has disabeled the powers of the Ori priors. BUt that includes his own powers as well. The four Ori priors follow their orders and start an attack with their staffs. Before they can reacht the group, they are hit by phaser fire. The two security officers have done their job wel. The Ori priors are on the floor. Kiandor explains that the Ori themselves cannot intervene as there are two Lorem present, Kiandor and Christine herself. Then Kiandor and Christine address the Ori and explain that the Ori made a mistake to enter their realm. The Ori respond that they regret things got out of hand. They will stop all activity and leave that realm. Players: Christine Steichen 369th Fleet In the war against the Ori Commodore Van Nieuwenhove commands 61 ships. His brilliant tactics has taken out several Ori ships already and the fleet is on its way to regroup. "We will regroup with other Starfleet fleets and take the war on the Ori from there." Commodore Van Nieuwenhove has earned the trust of Starfleet Command and is now on its way with 212 ships to the next battle. Battle simmulations indicate this fleet can handle 3 Ori ships at the same time with only 5 percent loss of ships. But on route to the next encounter, The flagship of the fleet, USS Mexico receives new information from Starfleet Command. Apparently the Federation starship USS Earth has found the super gateway which connects the Ori realm and the Federation realm. The USS Earth has activated the gateway and has entered the Ori realm. There is no further news from the USS Earth. Players: Geert Van Nieuwenhove USS Thunderbolt The Borg collective is in search of the Ori. There is no further news from the USS Earth. But also other Starfleet ships are on their way to the gateway. Some of them are already investigating how they can destroy the gateway. The Musks can be found later... As Captain Hendriks explains. "First we will eliminate the danger. After that we will try to find the Musks and persuade them to go back to their planet if that is a safe enough option." With the highly advanced technology of the Trsterts the Ori prior is found within the hour. He is visiting a planet near enough to travel to it in a few minutes. When the USS Walang arrives an Ori ship is in orbit of the planet and the Ori prior is still aboard. Without hesitation the Ori ship attacks, but the weapons fire is reflected back on the Ori ship, a Trsterts defence technology built in aboard the USS Walang. The Ori ship is destroyed... The guilty Xnor is sent back to the Xnor home planet where he will face trial. Day 238 13.06 Another incident, this time between the Sjor has lead to the return of a member of the Sjor. The talks between the Sjor and Xnor continue, but Commodore Slater realises it is not going to be easy. Violence seems to be very common to both species. As long as they don't fight eachother, Commodore Slater still has good hope of peaceful talks. Players: Nadine Peeters USS Iceberg After the crew of the Ori ship in trouble has been saved by the marines aboard the USS Iceberg, the Ori officers ofer their help. General Crow accepts that help. "We will accept the help of the rescued Ori soldiers. These Ori soldiers were only misguided. They now realise the Ori are only a violent species who's only whish is to conquer the universe, by force if necessary. Now these Ori soldiers see that the way of the Ori is wrong." The USS Iceberg sets course to the next location of an Ori prior. But later that day the USS Iceberg receives new information from Starfleet Command. Apparently the Federation starship USS Earth has found the super gateway which connects the Ori realm and the Federation realm. The USS Earth has activated the gateway and has entered the Ori realm. There is no further news from the USS Earth. The Ori officers and soldiers again offer their help to end this war against the Ori. Paladin out." "We will wait at the given coordinates. Have a safe journey through the wormhole." There are still some USS Arlington crewmembers on an away mission. And time is running out. "T'Pau to landing party. Are you ready to return?" It is Yorlan who replies. "No Commander, we need at least a few more minutes to retrieve the crystals. Commander the planet should be explored longer as it provides much more than crystals. But T'Pau does not see it that way. "You have 30 minutes. Arlington out." -------------------------------------------------------- Day 100 Delta patrol, Talnok in command. "Atlantis, our scans indicate large structures on the other side of the planet. Aboard the USS Atlantis Captain Walker still hasn't received good news. "Have you found the patrol ships?" "Damaged, but the crew is not in the area. We continue our search." "Keep us informed." Then there is a new report from T'Lan. "Atlantis, scans informs that the silos are fully fueled. Proceding further, scans are picking up other objects, yet not identified." Then Lieutenant Commander Ally Jones reports. "Scans are picking up unidentified ships approaching at high warp. At least half a dozen." So things are going worse for Captain Walker. "Thank you. Red alert - red alert." The elemental Anakaa aboard the USS Atlantis reacts immediately. "Recall Lieutenant T'Lan to return to the Atlantis. There is no time to lose." Captain Walker is more than surprised. "Why?" But it seems very important. "Now Captain." Captain Walker takes action. Alpha patrol, return to Atlantis." T'Lan follows the order. "Alpha patrol is returning." Players: Johan Michielsens, Conny Parmentier USS Alice Cooper While the USS Alice Cooper-B is on its way to the Ori gateway, Ambassador Jas Stevens has other things to worry about. Players: Crew of the USS Alice Cooper Ovion (Hirogen/Ori Hunting Vessel) Far away in the past a gatway to the Ori realm is built by the Ori prior Horkan. The Ori hope this way to change the timeline. When the first Ori ship comes through it seems that the Ori ships of this time do not have the same advanced technology as the ships from Horkan's time. As more and more ships come through the gateway, Horkan also realises these ships are very advanced in comparison of the technology of the humans, Klingons or Romulans in this time. With these ships he can take over the entire galaxy, maybe even the Borg... Players: Thomas van Rhee Earth Alliance Starship (EAS) Terradyne 952 men and women approached the speaker. This time they had enough discipline to stop talking and shouting. The speaker had their attention. "Things are getting serious. If the fights against the Shadows continue like this we will not make it." Someone in the crowd shouts a suggestion. "Maybe we should inform FMAR Draan Marr. He has the resources to help us." But someone else does not agree. "No no no. We cannot risk a panic and we also must remember that the Earth president and the Centauri Emperor are under the influence of the Drakh. We cannot risk the Drakh even knwoing what we are doing here. The consequences could be devestating." There is a lot of whispering, changing to speaking which ends in shouting. "Order order. We cannot find among ourselves. We all know what is at stake here. We cannot inform FMAR Draan Marr yet. That would not be wise. We will first start to recall the reserves." "All of them?" "Yes all of them. This has to end soon. Now get back to work. Move out." All agreed and left. Players: Steve Elliot DS2 RPG General Status Report june 2011 Lorem Two security officers, Christine, the Lorem Kiandor and the Ori prior Flacon have entered a temple where they have found the Ori themselves in a large pit. The Ori make a promise that they will leave the other realms alone, but Christine does not trust them. "Use the device. These Ori are not to be trusted." The two security officers approach to assist. The device is deployed. When activated there is a loud scream from the pit. While the scream slowly gets louder, the Ori flames disappear. After a few minutes all that is left of the Ori is a scream, fading away, until there is no trace of the Ori... The job seems to be done. The Lorem Kiandor and the Ori prior Flacon still have some concerns as Flacon explains. "I am not sure whether there are more Ori in this realm or not." Kiandor agrees. "I do not find any traces of the Ori in this realm, but my abilities are, however great, still limited. We could go back. The Lorem can guard the Gateway and make sure the Ori will never come across again." Players: Christine Steichen 369th Fleet Commodore Geert Van Nieuwenhove is on an Ori hunt. He has already destroyed some Ori ships with his fleet of 212 ships. The Commodore's orders are clear. "The Ori priors must be your first priority. We now have a location where an Ori prior will go to. We will destroy his ship and capture or kill the Ori prior." Only a day later the Ori ship is intercepted. The Ori prior will not surrender. The Ori ship is destroyed. NOne of the Starfleet ships has been lost. The battle was a great success. But while celebrations on all ships continue, there is some really bad news. Captain Sigrid Johansson reports. "Sir. We have received a message from outpost 199. There is a fleet of at least 29 Ori ships on a direct course for... Sector 001... Earth sir..." When asked for Captain Sigrid Johansson cannot contact Outpost 199. "There is no contact possible with Outpost 199. Sir, The message indicates it was send with an uncompleted distress call. I fear the Ori have destroyed Outpost 199... And sir, there could be more than 29 Ori ships in that fleet. We will need reinforcements." Earth is contacted. The answer is very simple. Reinforcements are at least 14 days away. The Ori fleet will arrive at Earth within one week. The only thing that can stop the Ori or slow them down is the 212 ship under command of Commodore Geert Van Nieuwenhove. Players: Geert Van Nieuwenhove USS Thunderbolt The Borg collective is in search of the Ori in the Ori realm, but haven't found any traces yet. And for once the Borg seem a bit lost. Some of the away teams ask the local primitive populations where the Ori are and they only get one respons. "The Ori are everywhere and nowhere...." Players: Helena Straetman,Caroline Keuleers,Willem Keuleers, Lieselotte Keuleers, Wouter Keuleers USS Walang After the destruction of the Ori ship, the USS Walang travels further inj search of the Musks. Captain Hendriks explains the situation during the morning senior staff breefing. "If the Hunanan find traces of where the Musks have moved to, we will travel further to the next possible known location of the Musks. We will send the USS Striker to scout. If we find the Musks we will try to convince them to join the Zolo, the Kirie, the Trsterts and the Hunanan. And after a certain strech of time they can return to their planet if that is found safe. We'll of course check that first." Not that far away from the USS Walang and USS Striker on a planet an Ori ship enters orbit. An Ori prior is transported to the planet close to a small settlement. When the Ori prior starts preaching about the way to salvation, the population reject the ideas of the Ori. Even when the Ori prior warns them they will be destroyed, there is only negative respons. The ori prior waves his staff to launche a destructive wave, but nothing happens. The people of the settlement start ignoring the Ori prior and continue their business. At the moment the Ori prior wants to contact his ship in orbit the Ori ship explodes. The Ori prior falls down on the ground... The Ori ship exploding in space does not go unnoticed on the USS Walang. Tactical Chief Lieutenant Patrick Kant reports. "Captain. A huge explosion has occured bearing 221 mark 13. It looks like an ori ship that has exploded in orbit of a planet. On the planet there are hundreds of small settlement. I don't see how they have destroyed an Ori ship Captain. But apparently they did." The Trsterts Ambassador suggests to visit the planet and talk to the people. No one sees the little smile on the Kirie's face... There has been some serious progress in the peace talks between the XNor and Sjor. Commodore Slater is very pleased, but he does not want to decrease security on the ship. Players: Nadine Peeters USS Iceberg Aboard the USS Iceberg, General Crow has made a decision. "We will go to the Ori gateway and go through the gateway to the Ori realm and let the Ori officers guid us in the Ori realm. We shall try to find our brothers in arms in the Ori realm. With the help we've on board that should be no problem I hope." With the help of the Ori officers the USS Iceberg arrives at the Ori gateway. It is a huge ring-like structure in space, big enough to let a starship go through. The Ori officers program a probe. The probe is launched and stays close to the gateway. When activated the probe sends a signal to the gateway. The gateway is activated and a few moments later the USS Iceberg travels through the gateway to end up in the Ori realm. But when the Uss Iceberg has entered the Ori realm, the Ori officers aboard the ship do not find traces of the Ori. It seems the Ori are no longer there. Atad reports. "Sir, we cannot find any Ori. Although I have to say that our range is limited." One of the Ori officers has something to add. "I have been to a place where they said there were Ori, but it takes at least a week to get there and it is not sure there are indeed any Ori." Players: Jan Theys USS Atlantis Captain Deto, in command of the USS Paladin has made a decision. Some of the newly arrived science ships have not entered the wormhole and stay behind to monitor the wormhole and what is behind it. Players: Crew of the USS Alice Cooper Ovion (Hirogen/Ori Hunting Vessel) Ori prior Horkan has constructed a gateway between the Ori realm of the past and his own realm in the past around 3 million years ago. Ori ships are still coming through the gateway. In this time period the galaxy is not yet populated. There are several targets to prevent that humans or other species evolve. By changing the past, history will be changed... The targets are: Earth, Vulcan, Romulus, Cardassia Prime,... Players: Thomas van Rhee Earth Alliance Starship (EAS) Terradyne The Earth president and the Centauri Emperor are under the influence of the Drakh. And so the Shadows of the past show up again... A few thousand men and women are assembled on the large square. They have arrived from all over the region. They are silent. The speaker speaks. "This is the first time I will say this openly. We are running behind. We are two steps behind the Shadows. If this continues we will get nowhere near a sollution. Therefore I have initiated Act 9." There is a lot of mumbling in the crowd. A wave of the sound Act 9 is traveling through the crowd. They all know what this means... The speaker continues. "I have calculated all other options. We do not have a choice. We must be fast, swift, and deadly. We cannot afford gettting more behind. is there anyone who wants to say something do it now." But there is no respons. "Very well then. Good luck to us all. Dismissed." All agreed and left. Players: Steve Elliot DS2 RPG General Status Report July 2011 Lorem As there are no Ori to be found Christine Steichen decides to leave this realm. "We will return to our own realm and destroy the Ori gateway." The Lorem Kiandor and the Ori prior Flacon understand and will help Christine. The USS earth slowly starts moving and then jumps to warp. The Lorem Kiandor uses his powers to guide the USS Earth to the gateway. Not much later the USS Earth travels through the gateway. The Lorem Kiandor and the Ori prior Flacon help to configure seven torpedoes which are fired on the gateway. "Torpedoes away. Direct hit. Something is happening to the gate. There is a huge power surge. The gateway is falling apart. completely. There is nothing left. Sir, the gateway is gone." On the bridge of the USS Earth officers start cheering... Players: Christine Steichen 369th Fleet There is still time and Commodore Geert Van Nieuwenhove gives new orders. "We will go to the designated coordinates of the Ori gateway and go through that gateway to enter the Ori realm." Not a day later the entire fleet of 212 ships under command of Commodore Geert "Ori Slayer" Van Nieuwenhove has discovered the gateway to the Ori realm. Without hesitation the entire fleet enters the Ori realm. But as the fleet proceeds there are only a few planets with primitive populations. There is no sign of a higher evolved being or form of energy which could indicate an Ori presence. There are more Starfleet vessels present in the Ori realm, like the USS Earth under command of Christine Steichen and the USS Iceberg under command of General Crow. But several other ships have already entered the Ori realm to search for the Ori. Apparently the USS Earth has found Ori and destroyed them. The message from the USS Earth is very clear. The USS Earth will leave the Ori realm and destroy the gateway... Commodore van Nieuwenhove has a dilemma: explore and try fo find more Ori in this realm, if there are any left, or he can play it safe, exit the Ori realm and let the USS Earth destroy the gateway... Players: Geert Van Nieuwenhove USS Thunderbolt Commodore "The Borg King" Mechels can only come to one conclusion. "The Ori realm seems to be very primitive. There are no signs of Ori ships or technology. But this must be the place. The Ori ships came through this gateway. We will continue the search for Ori signs. This could be somekind of illusional immage that the Ori have set up." The USS Thunderbolt and USS recon set course to the nearest inhabited planet, followed by the Borg fleet. After scanning the planet several primitive populations are discovered. Soon after that the settlements get visitors they have never seen before. But they will soon get to know them very well... "You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile." the new knowledge is assimilated very fast. Apparently on the planet there is an Ori presence. A small team of drones is sent to the temple to investigate. Only an hour later the drones share their thoughts. They have found a holographic image of an Ori who speaks. Apparently the Ori is only programmed to speak to the primitive people. It cannot answer any complicated questions... Players: Helena Straetman,Caroline Keuleers,Willem Keuleers, Lieselotte Keuleers, Wouter Keuleers USS Walang In their search of the Hunanan, the crew of the USS Walang with aboard representatives of the Scaton Federation, Trsterts and Zolo has found a primitive population who apparently destroyed an Ori ship. Aside of the ship in space is a Kirie. It seems the Kirie knows more about the population on the planet below than anyone else. Captain Hendriks thinks these primitive people know something about the Musks. "They might know something. If not we will continue our search." A team is send to the planet. Everyone is most curious of how this primitive community has stopped the Ori. But when the team arries in the settlement, nobody seems to be interested. It is not until the Kirie arrives... All seem to feel the presence of the Kirie, especially the children. The children start cheering and run towards the Kirie. Slowly the adults also leave their work and walk towards the Kirie while the children are already singing and dancing around the Kirie. One of the older adults waves his hands and the children stop sining and dancing, clearly a bit disapointed. The older man addresses the Kirie. "You are young Nli aren't you? I remember you. How is your father Dna? I haven't heard from him for a long time." The Kirie Nli seems to be smiling. "My father Dna is fine. You are Sdanoer of the Musks. I remember you and more of your people, but we have just found you by... luck. But there are so few of you here." "Yes young Nli. After we had to leave our home planet our group settled here, but at least twenty other groups have been scattered all over the galaxy. Day 242 16.15 The Xnor and the Sjor have a meeting with Commodore Slater. Both ask for support for their upcoming war against their mutual enemy the Crol... Players: Nadine Peeters USS Iceberg Aboard the USS Iceberg General Crow makes a decision. "It is not sure all the Ori have been eliminated. We will explore the Ori Realm, go where the Ori officers take us. We have to be certain that all have been rescuded before we destroy the gateway." Guided by the Ori soldiers the USS Iceberg arrives at a planet which seems to be deserted. After a full scan there are no life forms detected and no energy of any kind. Nine away teams are sent to different locations on the planet, but after a few hours they all report nothing has been found. All away teams are called back. Just when the last away team is back safe aboard, Atad reports. "General, we have received a message from the USS Earth. they will leave this realm and destroy the gateway. I advice to leave as well sir. Without the gateway we will not be able to return home." Players: Jan Theys USS Atlantis The first reports from the USS Paladin are positive. Although the gateway to between the Ori realm and the Federation realm is destroyed there are still Ori ships on their way to Earth, homeplanet of the Federation. After consulting with Starfleet, Commodore Christine Steichen receives new orders. "Commodore. It is good you are helped by an Ori prior. These are your orders. You will take this Ori prior and his soldiers to Earth. But remember the safety of the Ori prior and his soldiers are your absolute first priority. Whatever happens you will not put them in any danger. There are still Ori ships and at least one Ori prior out there. We know that that particular Ori prior is called Horkan and can still use his abilities and technology. The Ori prior aboard your ship can help us eliminate the Ori threat once and for all. I am sure you understand your responsability. Admiral Carmichel out." Earth is not far away so a course is set and the USS Earth moves at maximum warp directly to Earth. But between the USS earth and Eart there is a fleet of 22 Ori ships also on a direct course to Earth. Hundreds of Starfleet vessels are also on route to intercept. In command of the Federation fleet is Admiral Carmichel. Carmichel is trying to assemble his fleet halfway between Earth and the Ori ships. Clearly these Ori crews do not know their gateway has been destroyed. Ori prior Flacon abaord the USS earth cannot help Starfleet... "These ships have no weakness. Your Starfleet has to attack in full force, drain the Ori ships' shields and destroy them that way. Starfleet needs at least 50 ships for every Ori ship..." Players: Christine Steichen 369th Fleet As soon as the message is received that the USS Earth will destroy the Gateway between the Ori realm and the federation realm, Commodore Van Nieuwenhove knows what to do. "We will get out of the Ori realm before the crew of the USS Earth has destroyed the gateway. Then we will go after the Ori fleet which is still in our galaxy. The Ori fleet is a direct threat to Earth so we will intercept them and try to destroy them. This will not go without losing lots of ships... If we win... That is." Currently there is a fleet of 22 Ori ships on a direct course to Earth. The 212 ships under command of Commodore Geert Van Nieuwenhove join the fleet of already 800 ships Admiral Carmichel has assembled. The waiting before a battle is making everyone nervous. Last preparations, last checks... And then suddenly a message is spread around the fleet. One Ori ship has been detected. It is on an intercept course to the fleet. But it is only one ship. Admiral Carmichel gives his orders to the fleet. "We stay as one fleet. This one ship must be some kind of diversion or even a trap. We will only attack this one ship if it is very close and if we can destroy it in a matter of seconds. Admiral Carmichel out." Players: Geert Van Nieuwenhove USS Thunderbolt The Borg are still in the Ori realm. The USS earth has destroyed the gateway but the Borg already have assimilated the technology to make a gateway themselves. The Ori holographic image the drones found is powered by a powersource about 200 meters below the surface. Commodore Guillaume "Borg King" Mechels gives his orders. "We cannot assimilate this holographic image so we will have to find the source. When we do, we will assimilate the source and try to find the real Ori if there are still around." And so it happens... ten minutes later the drones have drilled a hole and transported the power device upi to the surface. One of the drones enters his assimilating tubes in the device where the borg nanoprobes do all the work. A few moments later the device is assmiliated. All data of the device is spread among the collective, including the coordinates of the builder of the device... Players: Helena Straetman,Caroline Keuleers,Willem Keuleers, Lieselotte Keuleers, Wouter Keuleers USS Walang Captain Hendriks decides to stay with these Musks for some time to get to known them better. "We will ask them how they destroyed the Ori ship and in the meantime we will send out ships to search for the other Musk colonies and get all the Musks back together on their new home planet." The Musks have a simple explanation how they destroyed the Ori ship. the Musks have technology equally advanced as the technology of the Trsterts. They don't use weapons like those unless it is absolutely necessary. The Ori prior was planning to destroy the Musks planet. The Musks could not allow that. Day by day new Musks colnies are discovered and slowly they all come together on the Musks home planet. But even the Musks have concerns and worry about those Ori. At that time messages from Starfleet Command are received saying the USS Earth, one of the Starfleet ships hunting the Ori, have destroyed the gateway between the Ori realm and the messages indicate the threat of the Ori is almost over. Only some ships remain but they are hunted down. But there is a second message. With the hunt on the Ori ships everyone seems to have forgotten that there is an Ori fleet on its way directly to Earth... When the Kirie, Scaton Federation, Trsterts, Zolo, Hunanan and the Musks hear about the Ori threat to Earth, homeplanet of the Humans and Captain Hendriks, they immediately offer their help. Some officers suggest to contact the Crol and try to find out more about them. All look at Lieutenant Commander Matz. The Klingon Chief of Security of the USS Vertigo has not said anything yet... Players: Nadine Peeters USS Iceberg With the plan of the USS Earth under command of Commodore Christine Steichen to destroy the gateway between the Ori realm and the Federation realm, General Crow has no choice than to leave the Ori realm. "We will go back to our own realm. We can only look so far as time will let us. I hope that nobody is left behind but it is out of my hands." And so the USS Iceberg leaves the Ori realm. Atad reports. "General we have left the Ori realm and are back in our own realm. We are free to navigate. I have a visual of the USS Earth at the gataway sir. I will put it on the main vieuwer." The officers on the bridge of the USS Iceberg watch as the USS Earth destroyes the gateway. Currently there is a fleet of 22 Ori ships on a direct course to Earth. Players: Crew of the USS Alice Cooper Ovion (Hirogen/Ori Hunting Vessel) Unknown to anyone one Ori prior has managed to travel through time to the past... His name is horkan. But when Horkan and his Ori fleet arrive at Qo'noS, the klingon home planet there are no Klingons on the planet, not even primitive life. A few scientists discover that they are in the wrong time period. there is no population yet to convert to the way of salvation. So there is no other choice than to return to the gateway and use it to go to another more suitable time period. The time period Harkon choses is Earth around 1350. The time of the black plague... When the Ori fleet arrives in Earth's orbit in 1350, the world is scanned and apparently the black plague is already spread. It will not be difficult for Horkan to convert the people of Earth in 1350. They are desperate and when some powerful person cures them from that terrible plague they will surely worship that person or what he stands for. Players: Thomas van Rhee Earth Alliance Starship (EAS) Terradyne The large square apparently was not really big enough as almost twelve thousand had gathered to hear the latest news about the Earth President and Centauri Emperor who are under influence of the Drakh and so also of the Shadows... This time the speaker seemed to have little time. "Order! Order! People we are wasting time. Order!" It took about ten seconds to have the crowd stop making any noise. But discipline kicked in and had the men and women in line faster than expected. "Now listen up. Things are getting worse. Only a a month ago there were only six of us. Now we had to call reserve troops already and still not all areas have been cleaned. Some areas even have been taken over by Shadows right after we cleaned the place up. I suggest we call in the entire team Thousand. What do you say?" There is a lot of mumbling in the crowd, but after some thinking everyone voted. They all raised their hands to show they agreed. "It is decided then. I will call the Thousand. There is still a lot of work we can do already so get on to it. Dismissed." All agreed and left. Commodore Christine Steichen will try to find Ori prior Horkan and neutralize him if she finds him. Her ship, the USS Earth will not be in time for the battle anyway. The USS Earth travels to the last known location of the Ori ship carrying the Ori prior Horkan. Upon arrival at the designated coordinates, only somekind of energy trace can be detected. It is as if Horkan has vanished on that very spot. It takes almost 2 hours to find out that the energy markings are the result of a small rift in time. So it is most likely Horkan has traveled through time. This news is extremely disturbing. If Horkan is able to change time, the Federation could end up worshiping the Ori. It takes another hour to find out Horkan and his ship has moved to prehistoric time. The time of the dinosaurs on Earth. Chief of Operations Lieutenant Commander Harry Dankers reports. "Commodore, we have calculated the time period Horkan has traveled to. That time is accurate with a margin error of twenty minutes. If he has changed time already in Earth's prehistoric times, we should have noticed it by... no wait. We wouldn't know anything about it wouldn't we?" Players: Christine Steichen 369th Fleet The defending Federation fleet nearby planet Earth is confronted by one Ori ship, which has left the Ori fleet apparently to scout. But the commander of the federation fleet, Admiral Carmichel thinks it is a trap and orders all ships to stay in formation. Aboard the USS Mexico, Commodore Geert Van Nieuwenhove does not fall for the Ori attempt to split upi the federation fleet. "One ship? It must be a trap to split up the Starfleet fleet. Admiral Carmichel is right. We will stay with the fleet." The one Ori ship returns to the Ori fleet, when the Ori soldiers aboard realise the Federation fleet will not make a move. But a few hours later the 22 Ori ships are in a position to attack the Federation fleet. It is clear that this will be the most important battle for Earth in the last century. And so it begins... The battle doesn't seem fair, but the Ori ships may be outnumbered, but their technology is much more advanced. The Federation needs to coordinate the attacks much better to win this battle. Small groups of 60 ships are formed. Each group attacks an ori ship... Space is filled with colorful lights of weapons and the responses of shields. And the Ori are losing one ship after the other. But they know the Ori as well. Although the technology of the Ori is no match for them, they all still think it is wise to check on the Ori themselves. Several Kirie are sent to the Ori realm. In some towns the black plague has vanished completely, But the people who have been cured have turned their back to their old religion and started to worship something else. A miracle must have happened. One man, who seems to be some kind of priest is talking about the way to salvation and the Bokk of Origin. Most of the people cannot read at all, so they just listen to this priest talking. The miracles he does, speak for themselves. This man must be the new messias. He speaks of better times and the Ori, his gods, who do all these wonderful things. One town after the other surrenders to the healing of the Ori prior Horkan. Some of the local priests who protest against the coming of this Ori prior are either convinced to be converted or they are cursesd by the Ori prior and they die a horrable death... "Silence please. Silence. Let me first congratulate you with the first successes in your battles against the Shadows. At least three regions are completely free of Shadow activity. But we are not done yet. On the contrary. There is a lot of work that has to be done. So keep up the good work. Dismissed." "Warp 7, warp 8, warp 9, warp 9.2, warp 9.3, warp 9.324. If our calculations are correct, this is the speed we have to maintain." One of the junior officers on the bridge whispers to another... "...if our calculations are correct? He isn't sure? What the..." The USS earth has already turned around the star. The ship shakes. Some power conduits are ruptured, but when speed drops rapidly the repair crews have repaired most of the damage the first hour. When the USS Earth arrives at Earth there is some disturbing news. "Sir, I think we are to late. There is no Ori presence here. Apparently we are in the pre-historic times just after a disaster whiped out the dinosaurs." Sensors pick up a time rift. It is clearly made by Ori technology, and not so long ago. there is even still time to go through the rift. The rift leads to Earth time 1350. The battle has already begun and the Federation has already lost 94 ships. The Captain of the Zolo ship makes it clear that the Ori cannot see them, but the Federation ships cannot see the Zolo ship either. The Captain of the Zolo ship has to make tactical decisions very quickly. the Federation is losing ships fast. Orders are given and executed. The Zolo crew sends out a wave that neutralises the shields of the ori ships. With that the ori ships become vulnurable and they are easy targets for the Federation ships. The battle comes to an end when the last six ori ships spread out. It is clear the Ori ships will try to penetrate the Earth's defences. While making the jump in time, the USS Iceberg does not even make a strange noise. Atad's calculations were perfectly executed. But after the jump Major Bell reports that there is no ori presence. Sacns of Earth reveal this is the pre-histroic time, after the disaster that whiped out the dinosaurs. "General, sensors pick up a rift in time. "Jones report." But Ally Jones has some bad news. "Unable to penetrate their hull. Their shields are compatible to ours." And Sonak adds... "Captain the last patrol has not returned, including the search party." "Inform the search teams to remain, and continue to search. Open hailing frequenties. This Captain Tom Walker, of the federation starship Atlantis." Anakaa has some advice. "Captain, they will test your patience." But Walker deosn't give up easy. "Sonak!" Sonak has a new report. "We are being scanned." "Can you blocked the scan!" "Yes." But Anakaa intervenes. "Delay that order. They take that as excuse to show weakness." Walker follows the advice. "Sonak, delay, and return the courtesy." Jones also has a new report. "Still unable the penetrate, I do detect a force field around the leading ship. Captain Walker wants to know everything. "Sonak, see if you can find a way the go around the force field." But before Sonak can do that... "We are being hailed!" "Let's have it." "On screen, captain." Players: Steve Elliot DS2 RPG General Status Report November 2011 USS Earth The USS Iceberg and USS Earth have arrived at Earth in 1350. Part of the population of Earth has been saved from the black plague by the Ori prior Horkan in search for new Ori worshipers. The USS Earth has arrived at Earth in 1350. This is the time of the black plague. Earth is vulnerable. People can easily be impressed by technology. If the Ori prior Horkan has arrived before the USS Earth Horkan will have not much problems to pose as some kind of god, using his technology. Commodore Steichen will also use technology to impress the people of Earth 1350. She could for example cure those people of the Black plague. It could end up with those people worshiping her, but that is better than that they worship the Ori. Of course nobody can say what the results are of the changes Commodore Steichen make in human history. The Commodore transports to Earth and personally she starts helping the people of Earth in 1350. Her extended medical tams are clearly under her command and the poulation of Earth knows who to thank. They see the coming of Commodore Steichen as a miracle... Ori prior Horkan has already left. He did not want to risk a confrontation with the Federation ships, knowing the Federation has technology to neutralise his powers... So the USS Earth returns to its own time. The first thing Commodore Steichen is ordered to do is to report to Admiral Kah'mok, head of space time issues. The Admiral only has one subject to talk about. "Commodore Steichen. I will come directly to the point. Three days ago archaeologists found this statue in a layer of Earth from around 1350 in what is believed to be a small town. As you can see it is a statue of you, in every detail even exactly the same hight. Not only that. Look at the text put on the statue... Sai.t. Chri.ti.e... More of these statues have been found yesterday, but rather small, some as small they fit into my pocket..." Players: Christine Steichen 369th Fleet Commodore Van Nieuwenhove is invited to the last remaining Ori ship. But as he has to come alone, he suspects something. "This can only be a trap. Destroy the Ori ship." All captains of all ships seem to be volonteer to destroy the Ori ship. The order of Commodore Van Nieuwenhove is executed with precision, swift and without any problems. And so this is the end of the Ori fleet. The threat towards Earth has been eliminated. But Commodore Geert Van Nieuwenhove does not yet send the ships of the fleet to their original missions. First he has a meeting with the admirality about the situation. When the Compmodore arrives at Starfleet Head Quarters, he is asked to report personally about the battle against the Ori. He also is asked his opinion about a future threat of Ori. There are no reports of any Ori activity in Federation territory. But the defenses of the Federation should not be lowered. Many ships were lost and it would not be unthinkable that the Romulans or Cardassians would like to take advantage of the situation. Before the meeting is over the Admirality has an offer to make. "Commodore Geert Van Nieuwenhove, you have done a great job. You made the right decisions at the right time. As you know Admiral Carmichel was the coordinator of the defenses of the Federation. We think that you woulod do well in his position. THerefore we offer you the job. Of course this will go with a promotion to Rear Admiral. So what do you say? Do you accept?"
